Had a problem that the fuel hose was kinked from the factory however Edison's fixed this. Works well and will benefit from a tune up after the first tank of fuel. I bit heavier then the name brand saws but for users who only do cutting once a month or less it is more than adequate and great value Show details ·  1

Follow-up  · I have had no problems with the saw.

Engine is good, bar is not – The engine is good, but the bar wore rapidly and unevenly after the first cut through a log, then it curved to the left on the next cut and thereafter. I have had to regrind the bar several times but it keeps wearing and the problem keeps happening. The bar may have missed out on heat treatment at the factory. The biggest problem is actually… Read more

getting a sensible email response from the retailer Edisons. All they send me is copy-and-paste generic replies with no offer of any solution. They don't seem to be actually reading the very detailed information I have sent them. They keep asking for more details. The guy might be illiterate.

Did the job for 16 years – Mine has just fallen apart after 16 years of light duty as a back-up saw to my 'pro' saws. I bought it in June 2007 for $123 and wasn't expecting much for the price but it's been pretty good overall. Even now it's just the chain tensioner and starter spring assembly that have fallen apart but it's just not worth taking it to Lithgow for repairs.… Read more

I've well and truly got my moneys worth and I'll just keep it for spares. I have two other Baum ag saws that are still operating: a little sx25 pruning saw and an old sx62 (hardly used gift from my son he obtained on Gumtree).

Absolute Junk – Just a really disappointing experience. Used once for about 10 minutes to cut down a dead orange tree and the chain came off twice after being re tensioned and tightened on both occasions. Went to use it today and would not start. Went through all the recommended troubleshooting on the owner's manual and after an hour I have given up. There is… Read more

cheap and then there is cheap and nasty - this unfortunately for me fits the latter. Should have saved up and bought a better brand.

Great saw for the money – Can't fault this saw except maybe the fuel and lube caps but I love mine it starts very very easily every time. Comes with a bar and chain more suited to softwoods but I have bashed this thing around and it just keeps going. Not bad on fuel and not too noisey gets the job done and for the price it's a beauty Show details ·  1

Great for the price – Purchased about 2-years ago from Edisons on eBay about $130 on special. Works great starts well, used for cutting logs for firewood, a little heavier than the big brands but for the money I can’t complain and it’s still going strong after 2 years. Show details
