The first chain saw we sent back unable to start it they replaced it this started only to run a short period of time after laying idle foronths it wouldn't start. My daughter had the same problem with hers we fixed both saws by changing the spark… Read more

plug and cap. having to do this on both brand new saws because they used cheap parts reflects on the brand

Follow-up  · the replacement saw ran in total for less than 45 mins on and off I changed the spark plug to non Chinese's in two chain saws they now run would I purchase this manufacturers product again the answer would be no as I believe if I purchase a product I expect it to be usable once assembled it was not. this was not one saw but three saws all with the same problem. I believe that quality control is lacking

Bargain purchase from Edison's to fell & cut up one tree. I thought if it did that one job it would have paid for itself. Well it cuts like a mongrel. Progressed to bigger timber and so far nothing stops it. Once warmed up starts every pull with ease. The chain is adequate and I touch it up for every tank of fuel and after each session. … Read more ·  1

Replacement chains readily available and 3 for $30 on eBay. Please see the pics of this saw that I have just used to cut trunks off a scribbly gum stump that measured 800 - 900mm in diameter with a clean cut and then dissect the stump completely. This thing rips for the price paid and on that basis I give it 5 stars.

It does the job – I've used a Baum-AG 52cc saw since mid 2007 when the ignition points died on my Stihl 031av (a wonderful saw bought in 1980). I was eventually able to find a "work-around" for the Stihl which lasted until 2017. I still use the Baum occasionally and it gives me no trouble; easy to start and 'does the job' with a good quality chain (Oregon I… Read more

think). I also use a little Baum 25cc, top-handle climbing saw (with a 12" bar) which has given good service so far.

Reasonable quality for the price as compared to my previous e-bay purchase – It's hard to be objective in this review as my comparison can only be based on another entry level e-bay (Starke 52cc discontinued line) also an Edison's purchase as I have not yet used any of the Hi-end brands to compare this with. In saying that, the Chainsaw came packaged with everything needed to operate it including a file for sharpening the… Read more ·  1

chain. There is adequate power for this 52cc unit and it worked well on dry Messmate up to 200 mm diameter / dry Gum up to 160mm diameter. I found it did not like wet Messmate or Gum too much. Ease of operating/ starting etc (a) fuel-oil ratio needs to be correct, it seemed sensitive to this (b) I found the chainsaw did not like being on it's side too long also, (possible carburation flooding). Good general purpose unit with manageable weight distribution. Generally I have found with these units, when you add an Aftermarket shortened bar (Toolstorm) and chain to these saws they come into there own as performance goes. Three to four years of usage will determine it's longevity/quality and I'll re-post an update then.

Handy tool – Well packaged and secured. Download manual is appropriate. It was easy to complete assembly, adjust and supply (fuel & chain oil). Not yet used on "heavy" stuff but expect excellent performance Very handy for general domestic tree pruning. Good price!  Show details ·  1

Ideal for what I need – Great chainsaw, easy start-up and goes through trees and branches with ease. Larger trees and branches pose no problem for this chainsaw. Does the job reliably and with minimum fuss. Show details ·  1

Good for the money – I’ve had the Bummer20 inch SX52 for a few years, using it for occasional fire wood and garden duties but mainly for cutting and clearing the (sometimes large) pine trees that fall across my local mountain bike trails. I had an issue where the pull start broke early on but the ebay seller sent me a replacement free and its been fine ever since,… Read more

always being easy to start whether hot or cold. It cuts well and chains are so cheap that rather than sharpen them I just replace them. Well worth the $160 I paid for how often I use it
