My partner and I traded our 2019 Volvo (it was in excellent condition and had low mileage) for a $53250 2023 vehicle, we were paying cash and we thought the trade-in was lower than expected but they wouldn't negotiate further. On signing the documents, we were told our new car would be cleaned thoroughly and that we would have a full tank of… Read more

petrol, especially given that we travelled 250 Kms round trip to view the car then another 250 Kms to collect it a week later. On the day of acquiring the new car the process was rushed, we were hastily given documents to sign and given a cheap travel cup and a soft toy octopus (REALLY!!!!) Before driving out of the showroom we noticed the inside hadn't been cleaned, and the outside looked like it had been cleaned with a dirty cloth. Then we were travelling home, we noticed we only had a1/4 tank of fuel, so we thought we better fill up. We rang the salesman straight away and told him it has cost us $157 to fill up and requested a refund given they promised a full tank of fuel. The salesman stated that he would speak with the manager and that he would get back to us the next day. We had no response, so we have left 2 messages, and we are still waiting for a reply. In summary, the whole experience was disappointing, and we certainly didn't feel valued as customers. We felt the staff were aloof, and just because we didn't purchase a brand-new vehicle doesn't mean we should be treated as second rate. We travelled quite a way to view the car in the first instance then collect it the following week. I see that other dealers will deliver your car, not this dealership. Would I recommend this dealership, certainly not!!!!

Bayford Volkswagen treated me like dirt. I had to cancel my service - which I had already paid more than $500 for - due to my husband being in hospital. Yes, they make you pay before the service is rendered. I tried to engage with them the day prior through the annoying online bot. It wouldn't let me speak to a real person. I tried calling on the… Read more

day. I managed to get through after a few goes. I explained the situation and apologised, said I recognised they are trying to run a business etc. but explained the sad circumstances. The fellow I spoke to said that someone would be in contact with me to reschedule. Nobody called or emailed to reschedule. I have tried calling five or six times, leaving messages. Nobody called me back. They have taken my money, disregarded my personal circumstances and refused to even call me to discuss what my options might be, or even do me the courtesy of explaining their policy.

disgusting and extremely rude staff, VW cars usually comes with known problems, they are fixing their own problems and customers have to pay hefty service charges, same problems may reappear anytime after fix, my humble advice is to stay away Notorious forTransmission and Engine failures, and keep 5 to 15K$ in mind....

Excellent customer service at Bayford VW Fairfield. Hudson was a delight to deal with, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable service, not pushy. Charlotte in finance was equally friendly, helpful and efficient. I am very happy with my clear Blue T-Cross, and it was a pleasant experience all round buying it. Show details

Cheats. Liars. Thieves. Took our vw diesel in for a service. Quoted close to $8000 to replace 4 spark plugs and fix a small oil leak. Problem is - diesel cars don’t even have spark plugs and we have noticed a single drop of oil on our brand new white concrete that we park on all day every day. What a joke!.

Great service at Fairfield VW – Daniel, Bryan and the wider team at Fairfield VW made it super easy to purchase our new VW Tiguan Allspace. The team provide unmatchable service and always made sure we where looked after. Daniel made it very easy for us to see and test drive the car, he’s very professional and caring. Highly recommend seeing Daniel when visiting. Bryan did a… Read more

Disappointing service experience at Bayford Volkswagen Epping – Upon bringing my Caddy in for regular service and for repairs due to a door locking issue, I expected prompt and effective service. Unfortunately, my expectations were far from met. The issue with the door locking mechanism was not adequately addressed, furthermore I was quoted an excessive timeframe of over 5 hours for diagnostics alone ($260 per… Read more

hour) in which they also did not guarantee that the problem will be fixed. More than 5 hours for diagnostics in authorized Volkswagen dealer??? What adds to my disappointment is the lack of professionalism demonstrated by the service staff. Upon completion of the service, I wasn't even provided with comprehensive advice about what was done and what needs attention in the future. This lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable from a authorized Volkswagen service center! Bayford Volkswagen Epping's service was unsatisfactory on multiple levels. The failure to address my concerns adequately, coupled with the excessive diagnostic time and lack of follow-up advice, reflects poorly on the professionalism and competence of the staff. Definitely my last visit here.

After Sales Support is the worst I have ever experienced – I bought a brand new Golf a couple of years ago and found the experience great and felt that they were professional and operating with integrity. Franco helped me with the purchase I would go back to him in a heartbeat. However, the after sales support is the worst I have ever experienced. I have had nothing but trouble from day Go. It is now 3… Read more

years in and today, I got a EPC warning light. It also has real sever shuddering and is undrivable. I contacted the dealership to request an appointment explaining the situation and that I am concerned it may be dangerous to drive anywhere in it. That conversation took 4 phone calls and 2 hours to be able to speak to anyone willing to listen. They were made aware that I do not have access to another vehicle. I am over 100 kms away from the dealership, and live alone. Their response was that the best they can do is 11 days' time as they were fully booked. Even though the Golf is still under warranty and undrivable, they are unwilling to find a suitable timeslot before 11th July. They also said that at this appointment, it will be for a diagnostic only and I will be required to make a further booking, and wait until God knows when. If I need to have the car towed, it will be at my expense. If I need a replacement car, that will also be at my expense. I have had multiple issues with keys not working from Day 1. Even the keys were are total debarcle and gave me the run around with that issue waiting for me to have a 'nose bleed' and an application to Consumer affairs for them to pull their finger out.

They are rude and disrespectful and unwilling to honour their obligations. I agree with the reviewer Nazarreno and a few other reviewers, and as the PTV says 'stand clear' do not go near these rogues AND parasites. I expect to be working with Consumer Affairs yet again, I will need to hire a car to help me get on with my life, I will probably need to pay towing costs ..... for now ........ until I see them in Court.!

It Could Have Been 5 Stars! – Bayford Epping: I give three stars as my buying experience was really smooth but not as such for my service experience. I purchased a VW Tiguan TFSi in March 2017. The sales dealer had a strong knowledge of the vehicle and during and after the test drive, he explained every single feature of the car, leaving me without the doubt that I want my… Read more

Tiguan. The pricing was good and we ended up a very good deal with some extra options. The delivery was memorable and we recorded some nice memories as the car is a few months older than my daughter. Again, all the features explained make us feel confident on the road. However, two stars have been taken for the service centre of this Bayford Epping. My car had an issue with the right windscreen wiper. It was leaving water trails when cleaning the screen on rainy days. I mentioned to the service centre and they replaced the blades for around $120. After another rain, I saw the trails back on-screen during the rain. I took the car back to the centre and after observation of the service manager and finally the workshop supervisor, they told me that there are stone chip marks on the screen and these cause the trails. So, the rainy days were not the ones that I enjoy my brand new Tiguan. After the second service, I could hear a loud noise from the engine which I took back to the centre and they fixed it. On my third service, I could figure out myself that there is a small gap between the blade and the screen in the middle of the windscreen wiper (where the water trails were showing). I mentioned this to the customer service and they told me that they will have a further look but after the service was carried out, they denied the problem and could not fix it. Additionally, my car was making a subtle noise on low acceleration after the service. I escalated the wiper and noise issues with VW head office on my three-year ownership survey and they contacted me for further explanation. After a few days, the workshop supervisor called me and I went back to the centre to fix the issue; not mentioning that the first I went there, I waited for half an hour and came back home as he was busy. So, I had to go for a second time. After another explanation of the issue and final checks, they agreed that the blade arm was not putting enough pressure on the blade and so, they had to replace it! But they could not figure out the cause of the noise! Today, every time I drive the car on a low acceleration, I hear that noise like I am driving an old car! I take out two stars from my honest review because Bayford Epping VW Service Centre takes away the joy of driving a brand-new VW.

Service Dept disability discrimination charging $2500 for faulty airbags – Feb 19 I have 2 Vw eos cars that needed FREE airbag replacement. Silver one done at Doncaster replaced for free no issues. Black one went to Camberwell service Dept. Camberwell used the opportunity to break the horn & buttons used to control the car with their free replacement then requested $1650 to replace the other airbags they broke. They… Read more

did this whilst my mum was dying of brain cancer and the car was needed. I emailed Vw who said they don’t act it’s up to the dealership. Camberwell said to bring car back in only to do same con requesting $1650 this went on for weeks and instead of being at mums death bed they used the opportunity to try and extort money from me for something they did. This took days. I had to 10mths later as that’s what it took to save the money. Got the airbags they broke replaced for $1300 and got a warranty. The airbag light came back on 4mths later. They then said they won’t cover the warranty and wanted $1150. I took the car there under the impression it was being fixed under warranty. Got a loan car. At 1pm another worker there called me and offered me $3000 for a $68,000 car 2012. When I didn’t offer to sell it. I said I want the car fixed. At 4.30pm the service Dept called to say they won’t cover the warranty as their is a hair in it . They wrote to Vw head office to get it done good will which would take 3 days. AND GAVE the car back UNFIXED and dangerous. Given I use a wheelchair.

I had no choice. They said if I wanted it fixed they could do it in 3 days and pay $1150 with no loan car.

I told them I was going to buy a new car instead I drove to Mercedes Ringwood whom bought the car for $6000 and got airbags fixed at Doncaster.

Camberwell rang 3 weeks later saying Vw will fix it good will I told them I already sold it but still want the credit. They said no you can’t have credit as we are a different dealership. I also told them prior feb 20 and June 20 I will take it to vcat. Beware of having a car with no issues and getting a call or invoice saying you need to pay for a airbag fault not mechanic one. They like taking advantage of the ill and dying and physically disabled women.

The Best Car I’ve Had The Pleasure Of Purchasing – I recently purchased a T Cross from Bayford Volkswagen Fairfield. Jacob Loraine was brilliant. Jacob was patient, listened to what we were looking for and went out of his way to show us what he believed could suit our requirements. The service I received from Jacob and Olivia Johnstone the Aftercare Manager was amazing and appreciated.

Pathetic service – I took my Passat Alltrack to Bayford in Epping for it's 30k service. The kms I travel are so low that it's 30k service came up just a month out of warranty. They used white grease on a black car which blatantly stands out and looks awful, but other than that the experience was pleasant. Little did I know what was about to happen. It could be a… Read more

coincidence, but about 3 weeks after the service I started to have electrical issues; up until now I'd had no problems. The headlights regularly activate on auto even in full sun, the rear door won't lock, the sensors show a vehicle is right next to me when it's over a meter away or there's nothing there at all and the reverse camera picture often flickers. I took it back and they said it would cost me $374 to "run a diagnostics check". It's important to note that until now I'd had no problems, the car had traveled less than 10k a year and had always been serviced at VW dealerships. But they didn't give a crap about that. I'm a service manager myself and the customer always comes first, within reason. At the very least, as a gesture of goodwill, they could've run a diagnostics check at no charge considering all they're doing is connecting a computer to the OBD2 port and pressing "start" on the screen. I went to VW Australia but they didn't care either. You pay a premium taking your car to dealerships for servicing, but I would've been better-off taking it to a VW specialist instead and saving hundreds of dollars. I'll never purchase a vehicle from any Bayford dealership and the entire experience has totally turned me off VW vehicles. I'm due to update my vehicle shortly but it sure as hell won't be another VW!
