Impossible to start. Have taken it to to repair shops and both said these machines are known for this problem. Service department a complete waste of time just blaming fuel. Never again BBT. Show details

starter switch by lifting the safety handle which is a major safety issue. After this episode the mower would not start so I re-charged the battery and after four hours the mower still would not start. As I stated in my first review the electronic module is destined to fail due to the poor design of the electronics and the surface mount assembly of the PCB. After discussing the issue again with the Department of Fair Trading I contacted ENGINE MANUFACTURER BRIGGS & STRATTON directly and after advising them of the issues and expressing my opinion that the module on this mower was not fit for purpose and could potentially cause injury due to the malfunctioning starting issue they agreed to provide a credit.
Aside from the electronics on this mower it does a good job cutting the lawn and it has some good features:-

Battery box removal help – Hi, I too have an issue with the electric start. I cannot remove the battery cover. I think I need an extension to my tork driver. Does anyone have an idea of which bit to use. Called BBT and was told to try the pull starter and they seemingly do not have replacement batteries. Not strong enough for the pull start and the reason I bought an electric start mower in the first place. So must fix the electric start.

self propelled and electronic start – i have used my self propelled and electronic mower under 10 times. The electronic start only worked twice. I was sent out a new electronic start and that too doesn't work I sent numerous emails to replace mower but no response. I am trying to get mower replaced for a new one that works or a full refund. Big disappointment – Worst mower I ever had: 1: grass in it when unpacking it 2: speed cable damaged 3: engine knocks no power I sent a email to tech support and told cable was damage when I assembly it. caught any where. Then when mowing the engine kept making a knocking noise and then it shuts down. I rang Tech Support and I was told to raise the level. But it still struggled with the lawn. When I rang the second time Anne-Marie gave outstanding service, I said I am willing to try it again. Totally disappointed & not happy with the whole experience with Tech Support and this lawnmower. Great lawn mower – Great to mow the lawn now with this BBT 21" self propelled lawn mower which comes with a Briggs & Stratton motor with 2 year warranty and 1 year warranty on parts.The mulcher plug and side thrust is just great.
