help – Where can i find one ive searched every where please help me locate i am in sydney Australia and will pay postsge etc
Excellent – This is a fantastic product, in terms of construction, reliability, stability & a long lasting well used investment. Speaker is to loud, but nothing tape on the speaker won't fix. We highly recommend this product. we have used this product with my son since he was born & he is now almost 3 and we still can sleep him in it, with plenty of room to spare. It is a bit heavier than the others available, but he can climb into & out-of-it, without any fear of it tipping over onto him. We will still be using this well into his 3rd year. Must agree with the other reviewer, the speaker on this is loud & we did the same thing of putting tape over the speaker & it was fine. Even better, we just left it off. The clips & the folding do take a bit of getting used to, but it has been well worth it.
Good – Was given this as a gift and absolutely satisfied with it. Baby sleeps soundly, both with and without the bassinet in place. I'd recommend this to anyone. I believe the price is quite reasonable. I would ignore the other review unless you're an extremely fussy parent who wants everything perfectly in place. Simple to assemble. All features useful except for the vibration and music. Change table was fantastic while bubs was still young (now we just change her on the floor). Heavy to lift. I didn't look at the others but it's 20kg to lug around but it's a sturdy construction so I guess that's the trade off. One of the clips snapped after limited use (but was not a load baring clip.... merely to keep the change table convenient). Yes the clips are a little tough but once you work it out it's easy (have some patience... you need plenty of it with a baby).
Good – its done the job i needed it to very well and i am satisfied with it. i would recommend it to anyone easy to assemble and i like that it has 3 sides with curtains so you can have them up to allow extra airflow or down to minimise distractions. having a change table with pockets for creams etc is also handy. i dont take the bassinette with us when we go out because it is a nuisance to pack up but that was never a problem for me. i was told when i bought it that the rocking arms were to use when u are sitting next to it so i havent found that an issue. like many bed toys, the music is too loud but if you put tape over the speaker it helps a lot.
Terrible – Bought this because I thought it looked good and had the extra features I was after. Very disapointed with it and took it back straight away. Ended up getting a Chicco Porta Cot and never looked back. I had the store list all my issues so they could feed this back to the manufacturers on my behalf. As a standard porta cot, I guess it would be fine but there is no point getting it for all the other add on features. I liked the features of this product and bought it on impulse based on this, before looking at it properly in the store, but they were not safe nor practical once I got it home and tried it out. Toy bar was not secure. Would flick out of it's bar clasp too easily. (One in shop was ok when i took this back and they showed me their floor stock item after I went to them with a list of issues on this product).
Metal clamps to secure bassinet are not safe in my opinion. Put my baby in it and his head when he rolled to the side was too close for my liking to these clamps. Means you won't get much use out of this particular bassinet because once baby is a certain size, it's not safe to sleep in there even though he isn't necessarily too big for a bassinet or the recommended weight for this product.
Very difficult to construct. I had dents in all my fingers trying to press the metal clamps into the rim around the cot. Hardly convenient if using it for ease of portability.
The rocking arms are not safe. Unless your baby is a newborn and doesn't roll over yet so will stay put in the middle of the cot, this feature is useless. It is dependent on centre of gravity balance, so if your baby is slightly over to the side, expect the rocking arms to lean to one side. The only way this will work is if you sit there rocking it by hand with baby still in the middle.
Vibration mode does nothing! You can barely feel any vibration at all with this porta cot.
Music is so loud and there is no volume control! How could a baby sleep with such loud music?
