Before ordering this beeswax, I tried checking the details of this company and couldn't find any information. So, I contacted BeeNord by email and… Read more

asked where the business was based. Their reply referred me to a link where I would find everything about BeeNord. It took me to the Shopify site. I sent another email asking them to answer a simple question stated in my first email and asked if they were based in the UK. They actually said they were a UK business but they are not registered at Companies House. The website has no details other than an email address. I now understand from another source they are based in the Netherlands. Their advert is deceptive. It shows an illustration of a lady holding a large jar of their product about 7 to 9cm across creating the illusion this is the size of the jar you will receive. The actual jar I received was 4.8cm across. I haven't tried the product so can't comment on its effectiveness but if the foregoing is anything to go by, I'm not confident.

Follow-up  · I experienced a period of ill health and wasn't able to continue my complaint. Now that I'm in a better position, I intend contacting my local council Trading Standards office specifically for Online purchases regulations. Watch this space, I'm not one for giving up when misled by dubious advertising/

Follow-up  · This is one big scam. It doesn't say what they claim and is not value for money. I had to use a magnifying glass to read the ingredients as the print is so small. No where in the ingredients list does it include beeswax. I should have know it was a "rip off".

SCAM ALERT. I paid $55.30 for Beenord timber polish as advertised on social media, but instead I received cheap EELHOE beeswax (sold online for under $5) and a basic sponge worth less than $1 — not the $21 value they claimed. Chinese company using deceptive, misleading and dishonest advertising
