Drove over 2 hours to inspect a used car and get our trade in car valued and was very disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive at first but then they said the mechanics don’t work on a Saturday to value trade ins only to be told an hour later they changed their story that they weren’t sure why the mechanics weren’t there on that day?? Then when we were negotiating the deal (without a trade in amount) the drive away price went up by $3000 for this second hand car. They added in a dealers fee for over $700. Roadworthy to cost $950 (a roadworthy only cost $280 where I live) Registration was quoted at $950 for a year or $350 for 3 months? Only $200 for 3 months where I live or $800 for a year Plus there was stamp duty which I expected but the amount was left blank and other miscellaneous fluff. I had to ask to see the service book 4 x before finally being able to view it. The car was unregistered not roadworthy yet and we were expected to pay for all of this and also drive back another day to have our trade in car looked at thoroughly by a mechanic and then have any work required on it added to the buying price But wait there’s more… After negotiations we reached a fair price. Then they asked several times for a $2000 deposit and a signature on a quote that wasn’t even approved by the manager or included a trade in offer A senior staff member came over after we had settled on a price only to say, no you cannot have it for that and then it went up again by over $1500 so we walked Maybe the second hand cars should have a drive away price so potential buyers don’t waste their time and energy and petrol to go and look for a car that has its price jacked up when there is an interested buyer. These dealerships need to be more honest open and transparent I would not recommend this place at all We were left alone multiple time for 30min or more. They just play their weird games and waste time. It’s very frustrating as we were ready to buy and pay cash. I expected to be treated much better by a family run country business
