Our oven knobs have fallen off again. Belling have sent through a total of 16 nobs, 3 seperate deliveries, all incorrect size. I sent pictures, gave oven information but each time they are wrong. The final 6 sent through are exactly the same as the previous 5 that I said did not fit. This same situation occurred about 2 years ago when I… Read more

needed to replace these knobs, wrong ones on website were sent. I think there is an issue with the website and the product code.

They have the model number of oven. I now have 3 packs of 16 knobs that have been sent and all are incorrect.

Now customer service has said that the knobs have been discontinued, however the website shows the knobs for our oven model and it says "PRODUCT AVAILABLE". The oven is only about 6 years old.

Please see pictures that have been sent to customer service right from the first email and every email since. (pictures left to right, 1. our oven according to the serial number 2. Knob that is shown within the product catalogue 3. shows knob wont push onto oven (raised back that is different to other knobs). 4. Two of the knobs are flat on the back, they are correct for my oven, the other four are incorrect and have a raised back. 5. Oven model and serial number 6. All the packs that have been sent, bottom two packages are exactly the same, despite email to explain that they were incorrect. 7. Our oven

Belling customer service lady "Debbie" has been very helpful, however is it really correct that knobs have been discontinued?

Disappointed – Purchased this stove four years ago which came from the factory faulty. The same fault has been repaired six times and Belling will not replace it. Cannot recommend Belling products. Show details

Terrible oven – New looking appliance in our recently purchased home is terrible to cook with. Main issue is the oven, it just doesn't get hot enough - nowhere near. Also, the fact the numbers have all been lost on the front of the appliance means we have no idea what temperature we are cooking at. But it is warm at best. The 4 gas burners are also very variable re heat. We are unhappy with this appliance and need to replace it, shame as it looks near new. Show details

Happy with the stove – Elements are not high powered but adequate for most cooking & react to changes of settings quickly . I use an electric deep fryer for deep frying & high temperature cooking. I like the ceramic top which is easy to clean. Also love the two ovens allowing different temperature for various foods. Main oven is a little low but heats quickly &… Read more

maintains temperature well. Miss not having a timer however purchased a separate timer which solve the issue. One of few uprights that fit in cavity.

DO NOT purchase Belling! – Purchased in 2013. Within a few months the lower oven started to whine and screech to the point where we could not hear the TV over the noise, so had to call for service. This is now happening again randomly in 2017. ALSO, all of the painted lettering on the front from around the dials has now completely disintegrated and peeled off, even though… Read more

special care was taken when cleaning. Now we have little idea what temperature the oven is set to. Since an appliance like this is supposed to last 10-15 years, did Belling not take this into account when making the units? Another thing is the cook top slopes down at the rear of the unit, so cooking oil slides to the back of a frying pan when cooking. All this has put me off ever purchasing Belling again!

Quite adequate – I had this oven already in the house we recently bought. We changed it because I prefer wall ovens and separate cooktops, but used it for six months while waiting for a kitchen refit. The Belling is a UK brand and this one may be too small for most people, however, I found, upon testing that the oven temperature was precise and the unit I used… Read more

cooked evenly.

That said, I did find the cooktop less than satisfactory because the hotplates took far too long to get up to temperature. This may be because I'm accustomed to using gas though.

In the end, I found it quite satisfactory for baking, though it's oven may be regarded as too small.

Good but could be better – Food cookes great. Favorite feature is the double oven as we didn't have the room for two full size ovens so it's a great compromise. I use the small one almost every day and both on big weekend cook ups and everything cooks as expected. Down points is food gets easily behind the glass front where the knobs are and this is very hard to clean and… Read more

with a white cooker is very noticeable. Also had one of the knobs come off within a year which no makes it look older and more worn then it actually is.

Very basic – I didnt realise the unit was so light in weight, even though it is free standing, it comes with a chain to attach it to the wall to stop from tipping forward, if, for example, cooking in big pot on front large hotplate of cooktop: hotplates do not have a stainless rim around them so are very hard to keep clean. knobs are coming loose after having… Read more

the stove for less than a year.

Racks inside the oven are very flimsy and care must be removing hot baking dish from oven as racks slip forward.

Non existent after sales service. 3 calls to them plus email. No length of time given when technician would call. Meenwhile we have only hot plates to cook on. Perfect for those who love cooking up a storm – Wow. Love ❤️ the double oven feature. Absolute must if you love baking. The double oven makes it so much easier to bake a lot at once. Even to have dinner cooking in one and dessert in the other. Choice of baking levels make it great for doing a wide variety of cooks. I have mastered the perfect pavlova in this beauty. Cooks beautifully and even. Cook top and grill works a treat too.  Show details

Good stove love the double oven, but could do with a splash back and timer – Good heat control on the ceramic top hot plates The best features are the fan forced oven and amount of different heights that you can have the shelves at, when cooking , unlike some other ovens The ceramic top makes it easy to clean if something is spilt on it and the oven has plenty of room in it , compared to other stoves /stoves of the same size  Show details

This is the best cook top and oven I have ever used – Very happy with my stove. It cooks beautifully and it is very easy to clean. I love the twin oven - very hand for just warming food or baking a quick batch of scones. Yes I would happily buy another Belling cooktop and oven but hopefully I won't have to for many years yet.  Show details

Knobs malfunction – Weak knobs have too replace them twice, and the last time the warranty was off ,cost me a lot of money, but those one were reinforced with a metal ring ,thing should have been like that from the start , I should not have to paid for bad defective knobs costing me $100 plus for them, otherwise great stoves ,easy to clean, removal glass so handy, will go for the same brand again ,but still not happy with the after service, regards Marc  Show details

Twin oven but no oven timer/alarm nor red light warning for hot elements – After viewing the Belling 600mm twin oven on the floor of our local Harvey Norman retailer we placed an order for one as we liked the look and the black matched our kitchen bench tops. When we arrived home and measured the width of the space available for the stove we found the 600mm would protrude into a doorway so we rang the store and changed… Read more

our order to the 540mm thinking it would come with the same features. After the stove was connected there were no digital displays and we thought it was incorrectly wired up. After confirming this was not the case we rang the supplier and found no 540mm sized stove was available with either oven timer or hot hob warning lights for each element even though both these features are available in the majority of other brand ceramic top stoves. We were quite surprised considering the price in comparison and although the retailer was kind enough to offer an exchange we didn't want to pay the extra disconnection and reconnection costs incurred by the electrical contractor and so decided we would have to live with the inconvenience. I would not recommend the purchase of a 540mm Belling to anyone because of this impractical lack of an oven timer on a twin oven stove and also the lack of the safety warning lights normally available for a hot hob on ceramic top stoves. The two stars given for my review are for the look of the stove and the convenience of two ovens and I hope Belling will consider having the manufacturer install these options on their 540mm stoves in the future.

Lack of timer, red light , baking tray – Look of the stainless stove , but disappointed of no timer ,no red light for elements when on , ( have forgot to switch hot plate off while on low setting) no baking dish.my old oven a chef deluxe was much cheaper than new belling, had a timer , red light , plus 2 baking dishes ,so for a expensive stove like Belling freestanding 54cm , pretty poor ...  Show details ·  4

Cooktop doesn't get hot enough, second oven temperature inaccurate. Too expensive for average qualit – This is an expensive stove for the size/category, so I was expecting a lot better quality than this stove provides. When you put the cooktop elements to their highest setting, they don't stay on, so you don't get a high temperature, making boiling water, frying, searing etc. very difficult (and annoying). I was really excited to get a second oven… Read more

but when I used it, I found it didn't work AT ALL! The temperature was NOTHING like the temperature on the dial (it was WAY cooler). The other annoying thing with the oven is that you can't have the light on without the fan, so when you need to clean the oven, you have to use a torch to be able to see what you're doing, or be blasted with the fan if you use the oven light. Oven temperature is more like a conventional oven not a fan forced. If I go by fan forced temperatures, my food is undercooked.

A nice looking oven but I'd never buy a Belling again. Very disappointed.

Not powerful enough – Very average cooking experience. Purchased on in 2012 for a house I was living in for a few months before I sold. One thing I didn't realise until about a week after I used it. It cannot boil a large pot of water! It has 1.2 and 1.7kw elements which seem like it just wasn't enough. Water got hot - but I couldn't boil it which is really… Read more

disappointing on such an expensive stove.

I was told to use a small pot instead by Belling.

I would have thought by spending this much money on a stove it should be able to boil water.

Marvellous Oven – This is great. Cooks so quickly and evenly. I can put three things in large oven at the same time and they all cook beautifully. I can use both ovens when family are visiting. it doesn't get too hot in summer as the double glass keeps heat in. The ceramic cooktop heats quickly and cools quickly and is easy to clean. Im so glad I picked this oven.… Read more ·  2

Two ovens, fan forced, grill, ceramic cooktop, very sturdy build, easy clean, double glass doors. No timer. When fan forced oven heats it is a little noisy for the first minute or two till it has heated.

Love it! – Had a Westinghouse fan forced oven with solid hot plates for 30 years without a problem until it "died" after a storm. Would have replaced with another Westinghouse but the oven shelves in the new ones are very thin and bendable - didn't look like they would support a large roasting dish with 2 chickens! Replaced with a Belling double oven -… Read more

conventional small top oven and fan forced large bottom oven with ceramic hotplates. Solid hot plates hold the heat longer but the ceramic elements heat up faster and are easier to keep clean. Also like the controls at the front of the stove as you don't have to reach across hot pots to turn the plate off at the back of the stove. Loving the double oven as I no longer feel guilty heating up a large oven for one item - can now just use the small top oven and keep the large one for family roasts and multiple trays of biscuits and cakes etc. Can also use both ovens together for large dinner parties. The separate grill is handy as well. The oven shelves are very strong on this stove. Double glass on the doors keep the heat in and the inner glass can be removed for cleaning. The only negatives are the oven light in large oven is on constantly when cooking and can't be switched off and there is no light in the top oven. No clock or timer on this model which I miss. Overall would recommend this stove. Ceramic top is easy to clean with Cerapol products. The two separate ovens, sturdy oven shelves and easy to clean ceramic cooktop. Oven light stays on while cooking and can't be turned off, no light in top oven and no clock or timer.
