ER5 error message appears – When using oven er5 message appears, rendering the oven useless. This has happened 3 times now in the 3 months we have been using the oven. Before this we had issues with the door being out of alignment. Over 40 years of cooking, I have had more problems in the last 3 months than the entire rest of that time. Highly disappointed with something I… Read more

Oven wont turn off – Our Belling oven is less than 10 months old. After using it, and turning it off at the knob, the lights go off, but fan stays on and continues to get hotter and hotter till a smokey smell starts. The knobs get so hot they are too hot to touch, and it needs turning off at the power-point... We called Harvey Norman, but they wouldn't deal with it… Read more

Error – We have had the same issue happen for the second time in 4 years. The tech came out and fixed the part while still in warranty. Same issue now only no warranty and $100 call out fee and $50 for first 15 minutes. I’m regretting not insisting the oven was replaced while still in warranty! I doubt I would buy a Belling again. Very disappointed!

Was good for a while – Purchased this all in one unit from harvey norman thought to spend abit more to get a quality product and good service but certainly did not. I have an oven that works and a cooktop that has a failure code every time you switch on one of the induction hobs useless appliance and the worst company to deal with a company that doesn't back there product. Oh and another thing when you boil somthing over it goes in between the control panel on the front and wrecks the clock display and swtch gear not very well thought out belling for somthing thats meant to be top quality could even be dangerous (ELECTROCUTION). Anyway very dissaponted. I am super disapointed a service guy came out to look at our cooker and and said it needed a new cook top but I was told the parts were not avalible, I was then told that they would give us credit on a new unit. So Belling told me to go back to harvey norman where I had purchased it and they would fix it all up deliver install and take away the new one. All good I thought I was going away for five weeks so I said I would be back when I get back from holidays to pick out a new one. So I go back after five weeks with my wife and they tell me they know nothing about this, and thats after I said to the guy I talked to to send me an email concerning this he said no it would be ok it is documented with my name in their records. But any way now I get told that they are going to fix it but not till may you cant be serious its been 2months since I wrote the review and it broke at least 3 or 4 months before that so we have been with this faulty stove for a long time its, May is not acceptible sorry. I hope we can resolve this a bit quicker I am not at all Happy....! I have been lied to and my stove is still broken Im not happy at all with the service....! Jason.

1800 dollars and just shy of 3 years!!! – Spent quite a bit more to purchase this upright instead of a Westinghouse thinking the it would be reliable and fabulous ...and ... well ...now I have a very expensive and very ordinary oven and grill. ..purchase was from Harvey Norman...( are they the only ones selling this brand?). Again..like other reviews ..to repair will cost as much as a new stove and that is really a concern. The stove it replaced was a 25 year old top of the line in its day dtove..still working!!!! except seals had gone and starting to 'lose its glamour'!! I would have thought I would have gotten a year or 2!! more out of this but clearly there is a major issue with the induction top that needs to be addressed by the manufacturer ASAP before any further are sold.

Won’t last – Initially the oven was great, but 6/7 months out of warranty like some others have experienced the right hand bank stopped working, when I enquired about getting it repaired it would be $800 just for a replacement right bank let alone coming out to replace it,and then what’s to say in 2/3 years it doesn’t die again,I have since seen another on… Read more

Great ovens, bad cooktop, warranty is a joke – We got this freestanding oven when we did a full reno of the kitchen, we thought spending extra $$ would buy some quality. If you want a responsive induction cooktop look elsewhere! – Super disappointed with the way this induction cooktop cooks! I called the Glendimplex - the importer & reported as faulty because it can't maintain a simmer temperature, it cuts in & out- you can't even boil and egg! After insisting they send a service agent they still maintain this is working as it's supposed to.  Show details

Oven so far so good - poorly written and confusing Manual ! Let's see how it goes ! – I got this at a rock bottom bargain price at Harvey Normans because it has been discontinued and at even less than the already discounted price. I've noticed in the past that Harvey Normans will just about give things away once a product has been discontinued. They must need the space.... Anyway I've wanted to move into a conduction cook top… Read more ·  1

since using them regularly in trips to China and the price was too good to pass up. A friend has a Belling (non conduction) and was very happy with it. However after purchase I found a few negative reviews on this site that suggested the conduction elements had been problematic for some reviewerss with the Bellings distributor seemingly a lot less customer focused and oriented than they should be. One reviewer reported that she had been told by the Bellings distributor in Australia that the internal conduction coils weren't covered by the warranty as they are a disposable part or some such nonsense. Well they won't want to try that on with me or I will have the Ombudsman's Office involved quick smart.

Anyway so far I haven't had a problem touch wood and as far as stoves go it seems fine with the induction process very efficient compared to other element types. There's not too much to get too excited about with a stove really - I probably won't be using the oven part that much if my use of the old stove is a guide but my daughter will and she makes a mean banana cake and roast dinner. The oven seems sturdy and well built and a bit lower than my old one but that is not an issue as it is probably a better height when you have a heavy full steel pot because you can't use the lighter weight aluminium pans with the conduction top. It all seems sturdy enough and is fan forced as you'd expect at the price.

The Manual is another thing entirely - it is woeful. It seems that the manual isn't just for this model so you end up reading about features you don't have - but not realising as it's all new to you. For example it talks about a sliding electronic bar for the induction top - well if it has a sliding bar I haven't found it yet ! The icons used on the stove dials aren't very intuitive either - quite possibly designed by an alien or copied from an ancient egyptian scroll. They really need to fire the person who writes their (cheap paper) manuals. As an English stove you'd expect the manual to be written clearly and simply instead of a company their size trying to scrimp on the cheap and have a manual that covers other models as well with features that you may or not have on yours.

You would also reasonably expect a stove to be a very straightforward item to work out but as the grill compartment effectively can be used as a mini oven there are two sets of temperature heat controls and loads of element settings and another switch that had me completely scratching my head as to it's function from the manual. Maybe it was just me but in the end I said "stuff it" and worked it out by trial and error turning things on and off in sequence and opening the two doors to stick my hand in to feel for heat to match up with the alien/egyptian symbols on the dials and in the manual. Even just setting the clock and it's timers was beyond me until I learned the trick to it. I am a fairly "computer and tech" literate person but I had to go to YouTube in the end to find a Bellings video on how to set the clock because the manual's instruction wasn't correct. You know it's not just you when the Company has to make a video just to show customers how to set a clock and timers.

I would not recommend this stove to an elderly person for the above reasons and suggest a more basic cooker.

As it's been discontinued now I don't expect many people will be buying one from here on to need this review but in any case if I have any problems I'll update this in future.

Thankfully I love the oven because the stove top has been nothing but trouble – I purchased a freestanding Belling in 2011 and have often raved to others about what a great stove. However for the past 12 months I have struggled to cook anything on my stove top as the induction hot plates work spasmodically. I called Dimplex for some advice and was told it was out of warranty ( I already knew this) and was referred to the… Read more

service agent, who came and "looked at the stove" (didn't even touch the stove but charged an on the spot service fee - and said I would need a new circuit board for the left hand inductors and the quote was $1122.53 - just short of half the purchase price of the stove. So decided that I would just use the right hand side, well now they only work sometimes and make a loud hissing sound. I am fed up with having an expensive stove that doesn't work and will cost $2245 to fix. In desperation I have read the reviews and find I am not alone and it seems nobody cares. I expected more than 6 years out of a $3000 stove. Now I really do have a story to tell all the people I teach everyday.

Service very disappointing – I bought a belling as the house we bought had a 58year old belling stove that still worked. quality of the knob where it covers and connects with the metal stem behind it is very poor. i have never ever had to replace a knob on an oven.

I was also disappointed as this oven did not come supplied with a roasting pan even though it said one was supplied in the instruction book. They eventually and begrudgingly sent me another grilling pan which is useless.

the double oven is useful but i have not used it enough to rate it.

If the back up service was better i would recommend it but for the want of a cheap knob I can't

Very happy so far – i have only had the belling for 3 weeks, but so far it is a lovely cooker. Easy to use, bigger oven than my old blanco, and everything i've cooked so far has come out nicely cooked. looks great in the kitchen, the black and silver finish is very stylish. ease of use, looks good in the kitchen the stove fitter said that if he put the telescopic legs up then the stove would wobble. so it is below my bench tops

Similar model with stainless front – Setting indication around dials comes off. They replaced the first one and kept stating that we are using a spray cleaner to clean. So second time around we only used water. Still the black heating guide comes off. When we contacted dimplex they ignored us and implied we are lying about our cleaning method. Now unit dangerous. Turning on the wrong plate could cause death.

love it, packed with good features – this is only 600 wide but because of the double oven, its better than a larger cooker. Really happy with choice on this one – We have been using stove for about 9 months now. Its great (Maybe because the one it replaced was so old). Looks smart, efficient use of space in our kitchen, cooks well and very easy to clean. Great feature are the rapid hotplate response up or down. Better than gas as you can get a low setting as well as very hot. Great little trick is that… Read more

on the power boost setting we are able to boil up 3-4 litres of water for pasta faster than we can do it in our electric kettle. We especially wanted a separate grill which is in the top oven. As an oven this top one is small but fine for one cake or tray of biscuits cupcakes etc.

The main bottom oven opens sideways which we also like. We found it cooks cakes, roasts etc just as recipes say.

Cooktop very easy to clean with damp cloth as it does not get hot. We had to buy new pots and pans because ours were all aluminium. The new induction suitable ones are great. We find that things sem to be tastier than the old electric coil hotplates. Have never burned anything so far. Response is instant when you turn the energy down. Similarly very rapid when you turn it up. Efficient in energy and space, great cooking and easy to clean Have not yet acheived 10/10 success with wok. Does not seem to heat up the sides like our old one. Hotplate dials do not matter as the setting shows up on the cooktop as a number up to 10 as well as codes for power boost P and Auto heat (A)

Extremely disappointed – Initially thrilled going from electric to induction. But 5 months out of 2 yr warranty an element failed. Replacement will be $385 plus service, so at least $500!!. quality long term product - but they (importer: Glen Dimplex) won't help, saying the element is like a light globe - disposable item. Also I can't see the settings around the hob controls without a torch, even during the day - ridiculous! Induction elements heat fast. Off is off and cool. Grill is a second oven (no fan).
