Berempah Malaysian Fusion Restaurant

What a little Gem! – What a little gem! My family visited Berempah a couple of weeks ago for an earlyish dinner at 5:30pm...luckily we booked. The restaurant serves Malaysian and Thai cuisines. We ordered Spring rolls for my grandson, and for the adults (7) we had their signature Pork Belly, Ayam Berempah, Beef Rendang, Crispy Chicken curry (2), Red Duck Curry, Green bean sambal, Jasmine rice (6), coconut water (4), and Umeshu Soda (2)...$263.20. The food was very very good. The duck was the standout favourite, closely followed by the pork belly and crispy chicken tied in 2nd place. That's not to say the beef nor the Ayam Berempah were not delicious!...We have our favourites. Service was great in a refreshingly "Äsian" manner and couldn't be described as formal (stuffy...hahaha). Decor was modern cafe style, a little cramped for the larger framed customers, but in Crows Nest, most seem healthy and slim. We saw dozens of joggers passing our view of the street outside.....Ample street parking if you dine early otherwise there's Woolies for 2hrs free and $9 for the 3rd hour. We dined on a Thursday evening. The restaurant quickly filled by 6:15pm, and a second seating was waiting for tables to be vacated by 7pm. Uber Eats and DoorDash lined up outside for their food too. Berempah is on my shortlist of eateries in Sydney, when feeling like South East Asian food!
