The best I could ask for – I was given this second-hand by my mother who upgraded to another Bernina machine. I view Bernina as a quality brand with a good reputation and reliable products - I also have a Bernina overlocker. I make tons of Medieval clothing, so I'm using everything from thick suede to fragile silk, and this machine does it all for me. There are a handful of interesting accessories you can get to improve performance, including presser feet and machine attachments.

This Bernina is of solid quality, I have a feeling I'll be passing it to my daughter in time.
