Very disappointing – Our experience with BettaStone has been terrible. It became clear when our kitchen bench tops were installed 2 years ago that the product was nothing near as robust as other stone (ie. granite). Almost immediately our bench tops scratched easily, pitted and worst of all, chipped along the edges (there are 2 of us in the house and we are not heavy… Read more

handed). The original owners gave us the runaround for over a year, and eventually promised to fix them. Nothing happened, until I was informed the business had been sold and I needed to talk to the new owners. The new owners have been less than helpful, offering us 1 free slab (the bench top requires 2 slabs) which we could have processed and retro-installed at our own cost. We have absolutely no confidence in the product so we're hardly going to pay big money to go down that path. We've just started the process of going through consumer affairs and fair trading.

It's not strong or durable as advertised – We used Betta Stone as an alternative to granite or marble, plus it was the ethical and sustainable choice then for our small kitchen reno in 2022. We saw a couple of flaws after only 2 years. Surface was chipping and some porous marks appeared, which we were told it was a minor fault in the manufacturing (moulding machine), so it was advised to… Read more

avoid putting any hot items and anything that could cause a stain on the benchtop, we did just that - actually we took good care of it thinking about it now. However, it's 2024, the whole benchtop is porous looking like undressed concrete in some areas, corners are chipped and crumbling. The tiny holes are black due to dirt accumulating inside, I don't want to brush it off as I think this will make things worst. Sadly, I have been told that there are "new owners" that took over the business 3 months ago, so I don't think this will be resolved or fixed. I'm afraid this benchtop will not last 5 years so we have to accept that it will start looking like a pumice stone by the time we have to replace it and spend a ton of money on our kitchen again. So, no I wouldn't recommend this product and would never use it again.

Failed recycled product – We used Betta Stone for our kitchen and laundry benchtops and bathroom vanity. We chose it because it's an Australian company and met our recycling and sustainability values. One whole slab was faulty for which we received a refund from Betta Stone. The installers were concerned from the outset and extra support was needed for the island bench.… Read more

The kitchen has been in use for 18months. The performance of the product is poor. It has become very chipped particularly around the sink and edges that are used most and is also stained and difficult to clean. There are multiple flaws in the stone that were not apparent on the sample we received. Not recommended
