Beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X

Exceeded expectations – Primary use, music on the phone. Secondary uses, streaming and console gaming. Safe to say these headphones exceeded my expectations. My pre-purchase concerns were that the plastic cups would feel cheap (like most other headphones, even in this price range), that they'd be uncomfortable since they swivel only a tiny bit, and that they'd sound meh (from the plethora of YouTube reviews by audiophiles who claim they're not audiophiles).
However, the cups are made of decent quality plastic with a nice matte finish. The headphones are some of the most comfortable I've worn. And the sound is fantastic, though I have them tuned via their AutoEq profile on Wavelet with the bass boosted.
These headphones are definitely not for bassheads. They are for everyone else. Although I do listen to a lot of bass heavy music, I find the bass output mostly adequate when boosted via Wavelet.
I use an Alogic headphone jack adapter to connect these to my phone, and it works 100% OK. No issues whatsoever, despite the many negative reviews of this adapter on JB-HiFi's website.
