Bicycle Superstore

We have used Bicycle Superstore for the first time this past week (April 2026). Very competitively priced, a lightning quick shipment to regional NSW with matching communication and fantastic after sales service that we received from “Laura”. We will most certainly use Bicycle Superstore again and how refreshing it is to find old fashioned exemplary customer service like this here in Australia. Cheers, Scott
Ordered some gloves online. They came promotly and exactly what I ordered. Very happy.
Appalling customer service and staff attitude – I was interested in buying an ebike. Visited the store about a week ago. The middle aged guy who assisted me was polite. But was not at all helpful or interested in selling. When I wanted to check out a bike, he said, you can't ride this bike outside and for me to ride the bike inside the store if I like. From a customer experience point of view his attitude and behaviour was appalling. Will never buy anything from this store ever again.
Australia’s worst bicycle store? – This is surely a finalist for the WORST bicycle shop in Australia. Yesterday, I rang up to make an appointment to have a bit of tuning done on my son's Mountain Bike rear derailleur. Should be $25 says the woman on the phone - bring it down at 9am tomorrow and pick it up at the end of the day. So, I get there at just after 9am as agreed - sorry,… Read more
we don't have your booking details (even though the woman took my name, number, etc. yesterday). No worries she says - we should get it done today anyway. They're clearly not busy because they're all standing around having a chat when I walk in.
Next thing the woman is trying to upsell me to a service - that will be $99. But hang on, the bicycle mechanic says he can't do any work on this bike because the little cog at the bottom of the rear derailleur is too dirty. That will cost another $30 to clean he says!
What a joke.
Seriously, a slightly greasy wheel/cog and it costs $30 to clean!
Some bicycle mechanic if he couldn't cope with a little bit of grease. Arnold Schwarzenegger said it best - "a little girly man".
I offered to do it for him, there and then, with a bit of toilet paper. They wouldn't let me into their "workshop" because it was too unsafe. Oh, and please don't do it on the carpet, we don't want that getting dirty.
You would think I'd brought in a filthy bike - it had nothing more than a little grease and grime on the lower wheel of the rear derailleur - other than that the bike was clean.
Unbelievable waste of time, worst bicycle shop in Mornington if not Australia.
If you're the business owner you need to clear out the staff and get new ones. I'd sack this lot today.
Callous Customer 'Service' with no proper sales record keeping – We purchased a new Giant Talon 1 on Sept 22, 2023 for our son. The bike was stolen from our locked garage sometime in January, together with another new MTB purchased around the same time from Bike Now. Our 9 year old is devastated. Unlike Bike Now, the serial number (for a police report) for the Bicycle Superstore sale was not recorded on the… Read more
receipt. I contacted Bicycle Superstore on Feb 9, 2023 to obtain the serial number; there was some confusion about new computer systems and sales records. I was told, courteously, that someone would follow up with head office or otherwise and get back to me. No one called me back.
On Feb 16, 2024 I called again. I was treated with callous and patronising indifference by ‘[Name Removed]’. There was no apology for not getting back to me. He was unable (or couldn’t be bothered?) to find a record of my purchase 5 months ago (but, interestingly, was able to find my name via my mobile number). And in ‘[Name Removed]’ own words he said: “nothing we can do. Just the same buying a kettle as JB Hifi, the onus is on the owner to record your serial number. We didn’t have the functionality [in September].” And, “oh, yes, that [stealing bikes] happens all the time, that’s why we have a new sales system.”
I asked if they would follow up with Giant. Answer: “NO”.
I’ve left more than a few dollars at Bicycle Superstore over the years
Ask yourself if you want to be treated like you’re buying a toaster the “same as at JB Hifi” the next time your buying a bike or expensive accessories at Bicycle Superstore.
Fantastic Service – Ordered a bike from WA for my daughter. Hadn't heard anything after 4 days so rang them and got provided with a number for their online component which I promptly called. A fellow called Brett from memory followed up - and told me he'd call and let me know what was going on. He phoned back - told me they would put the bike together for me,… Read more
which was duly done, and it shipped today. I couldn't be more impressed with this gentleman or with this company. I'll be back.
probably the worst put together bike ever purchased – I bought a NEW giant bike from the Nunawadding store and didn't have my helmet, the bike was taken to the workshop for a check over before i came back later that afternoon to ride it home. after i rode home and put it on the stand the list of things wrong with the bike after verbal "i checked it over and it's good to go" were... 1. handlebars… Read more
not straight with front wheel 2. disk brakes were not aligned and rubbed 3. gears were clunking and required tuning 4. cable ties for the rear derailure mounts were either not done up or missing 5. front crank guide was loose and rubbing on chain 6. front disk brake was put on with twist in the hydraulic line resuting in cable flicking on suspension lock out leaver
i don't think it's un-reasonable to buy a new bike and have it behave like a new bike. imagine if your new car had rubbing brake lines, clunks and groans, missing attachments.
bike was a great price but i won't be in a hurry to go back
Unprofessional !! – Looked at the web site, found what I needed, wrote down part numbers and drove from Springvale to Mornington, March 1st 2023. Low and behold, big sign on front door, We are closed for stocktake !! NOTHING said on the web site when I checked opening hours. When learning to be in "Retail" the first thing you get to understand is " customer… Read more
focus" not that , a stocktake is most important, NO, we the managers MUST ensure our customers come first and last, communicate, communicate, communicate and smile ! I believe your review rating of " ONE" is over blown, 0.5 would be generous !! I drove back to Bikes99 in Carrum Downs and spent my $ 400 bucks with , open, friendly, helpful people, thx for nothing Bicycle Superstore.
Do not trust this store – Ordered components and tyres in September, it’s now been over a month. No package has been received and no refund made even though they said they would process it. Waste of time, money and effort with this store. Aus post are also culpable however not tried to make this right in the slightest. Stick with the trusted online stores - such as pushys or bikebug - it’s worth the proactive customer service
Physically abusing my son and being racists – I wanted to complain about the service and attitude of the Nunawading Bicycle super store. They were rude to my son, physically and mentally abused my 9 year old, showed racism against us. On 24th December, I visited the Nunawading shop to buy bike mount for my car. One of the staff was showing me how to mount it on my car which was parked… Read more
outside. My 9 year old son said, it is very hot and wanted to be inside the shop. After a few minutes one of the staff came and was started shouting at me while I am outside, saying I am delaying them, if I am interested to buy the bike mount or not.
I wasn't aware that they are closing, but he was in urgency just to close the shop and go away. So, I rushed to buy the bike mount as It was important to me. They just shut the door immidiately on us. While returning home, my son mentioned that, while he was inside, one of the staff who was wearing the jacket, physically pushed him out of the shop and locked him saying the shop is closing. It seems he also made some remarks which has hurt the 9 year old kid badly. It seems all the staff were laughing when my son was being thrown out of the shop.
I saw that they were serving another white man with no problem.
Just because we were browns, we were thrown out and shouted like this. I am embarrassed to say that I am an Australian. Every day, I had to go through this Racism. I can tolerate, but I won't tolerate the physically and mental abuse done to a kid. Coward fellow.
I will try to go to every forum possible to get justice, even though as brown people sometimes I feel we don't get justice here.
