Put in a request got a phone call explained what I wanted said I had some quotes was asked why I didn't go with quotes I had. Don't most people get other quotes I thought that was rude why do they ask you to submit enquiry
Great initial consult - Bad follow up after accepting bid – We went through Bid My Solar and the consultant goes through different solar companies and creates a design and project in which the solar companies can then bid on. We were then provided with bids. Bid My Solar confirmed that they would be with us and help us through the entire process. The initial consult where they explain how things work etc… Read more
was great.
However, after getting the bids and selecting one, the selected company then drops out saying they cannot go ahead with it due to the design. I feel Bid My Solar should have checked this before consulting us with the bids. Especially since they are guaranteeing the companies that are bidding.
After accepting the next best bid, there were delays and also issues after installation which Bid My Solar did not do anything to assist with. There was no word from them after the acceptance of the bid even though they promised to be there for us from start to finish.
What was promised wasn’t delivered – Bid my solar designed my solar panel system using computer modeling which is what sold me on their concept. However, previous independent quotes had found an issue with the number of panels that could be installed on the north side which meant the installer that won the bid had to alter the system from the design that had been agreed to. This was… Read more
something that a visual inspection by Bid My Solar would have picked up.
Depending on where you live in Australia, you may only have one person bidding for your system so competition can be lacking. Bid my Solar and installers should provide a post installation checklist so that any issues can be sorted earlier. Rather than have unnecessary downtime when something basic is overlooked. Rather than rely on conversations which can be forgotten as there is a lot of information for those who have just installed a system to take in.
As part of Bid My Solar selling point was a post installation inspection. I did not have anyone come onto to my property to conduct such a review. I can only assume it was just ticked off a list or done online. I received an email to say it had be done. Had it been conducted on the physical premises, I believe it may have helped to identify basic issues that may have been overlooked.
Update March 2025, the solar analytics unit I purchased as part of my system has stopped working. I had purchased it as it was sold as having a lifetime warranty and my unit is 4G so it still should work. I have contacted Bid My Solar as well as Solar Analytics and are yet to receive a response from both. It seems Bid My Solar is no different to the other companies that they claim not to be.
Bid My Solar provided very solid advice – Bid My Solar provided very solid advice, they said no sales hype and they delivered on that promise. We are really happy with the company which installed the system, and the price and was Hassel free. Will recommend y you guys always .
Excellant Service & Advice – We run a significant commercial operation and have constantly been approached by numerous solar companies regarding the installation of solar. The proposals have been as varied as the prices quoted and the finance options lacked transparency. We had been referred to bidmysolar by a business colleague and we can place on record, the experience has… Read more
been significantly above anything we had encountered before. bidmysolar provided us with factual advice backed up with credible cash flows, explanations, and the only company that advised monitoring our peak usage in advance of making a decision. That advice allowed us to make a very informed decision regarding system size and battery options.
The design and project brief further allowed us (and for the first time) the ability to compare various brands, warranties, and performance outcomes.
The independence of their platform is remarkable and a service like this has been long overdue.
The outcome, 32 bids, quality solar, enforceable warranties, an outstanding installation, and very significant savings.

Bid My Solar, best outcome for our car wash – I have been in business for many years and developed a number technology platforms, but I have to say, the bidmysolar solar marketplace is smart, in fact very smart. We were able to obtain an outstanding solar design for my brothers car wash business, very professional and detailed financial forecasts with reliable facts supporting the outcomes.… Read more
Jeff had already completed research and obtained a number of quotes externally none of which provided any guarantess on projected savings. Seeing what bidmysolar produced, impressed both of us.
We received 18 highly competitive bids for our project and across premium solar brands compared to the quotes we already had showing over-priced solar panels sourced externally.
Outstanding service, very professional, and a quality assurance that is simply well beyond what we were able to find in the market. Five gold stars!
No hesitation to recommend bidmysolar to any business or homeowner.

Thanks for the right advise – I wanted to thank Justine for his patience in answering all my questions. Wish my home was suitable for solar, but thanks for being upfront and clear about it. I will surely recommend it to my friends and family members.
Very good service form bid my solar – Bernie was very helpful in finding the good price for solar for my home in Oatlands. Installation was smooth and installers were polite. I recommend d this company. Thanks bidmy solar.
Had a great experience with Hersh! – bid mys solar were quite helpful in helping me find a good quality solar system for my house in Bundanoon NSW. Some companies I was spoking to giving me really high prices, but Hersh explained everything in detail and I was able to find very good system for a lot less. Very happy.
Beware. My advise: Stay away! – I tried Bid my solar after getting quotes elswhere for my two homes at more than $40,000. I found them most difficult to deal with. I advised them of my number yet they kept calling the wrong number so they changed the meeting time they booked saying they couldn't confirm even though we accepted their invite. I called the consultant and explained… Read more
that they needed to call my number in future as my wife couldn't take calls at work. I resent the power bills that they asked for and said the meter box had been checked by 2 other Solar companies and did not need upgrading which the consultant accepted and said the meeting would proceed at the amended time in an hours time. I said as soon as I got home I would send pics of the meter box anyway. Again I rescheduled my appointments as did my partner in a busy day for both of us to attend the rescheduled meeting and surprise, surprise no one turned up. When I spoke to another consultant on the phone he said they hadn't done anything and could they reschedule again. At which time I just gave up,. Beware as I think with such shoddy service these reviews are obviously fake. Shortly after posting a review elsewhere I received a call from the owner which confirmed my suspicions that this company was obviously manipulating reviews when he tried to bully me into removing my review by saying his lawyer would be contacting me to do so. I informed him that I welcomed any such call and that posting a review of what occured was called free speach> Obviously this is a prime example of the fish stinking from the head down with shoddy behaviour modeled from the top.
