Big W Brilliant Basics 1L Rice Cooker CFXB22G

It keeps boiling over !!! – I'm not sure what's going on with my rice cooker but it's becoming a pain to use now, I add 1 cup of rice and the recommended water but once it starts and gets to the boiling stage it boils over and leaves a watery mess on my kitchen counter and as soon as it turns off I go and get it to remove the rice and some of it has stuck to the bottom of the cooking bowl and the bowl is Teflon with no scratch's, the boiling over has been happening since day 1 and a recommendation to me was rinse the rice before cooking, which I did but it made no difference, It's not like I have overfilled the cooker but the rice sticking to the bowl has been happening the last few times only, and I can't see a reason for it to do any of this stuff. I would recommend spending more on a better quality.
