Tiffany Rice Cooker

I was given a tiffany rice cooker as a leaving gift from my job in Australia 29 years ago, it has been used a couple a times a month since I received it. Tonight I put some rice on and thought you know what, this brand needs to know how awesome this product is, I have never had an issue, cooks perfect rice every time. Have to say it's the gift that just keeps on giving, highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a no fuss, one button push for perfect rice and there has been no discolouration of the cooking bowl or lid.
Follow-up · Really easy to clean, a quick soak and rinse. You can't hear ut cooking, all you hear is the click when cooked. Yes it cooks every type of rice

Cheap but amazing – Sometimes the sting you get what you paid for doesn’t apply. This rice cooker cost only $12 but has worked amazingly for 3 years. Still cooks perfectly fluffy rice- big tick!
Tiffany Rice Cooker 1L RC5A is value for money! – This rice cooker was only $20 and it's worth the money! It cooks rice perfectly and is easy to operate. The only issue is that it spurts water out through the hole in the lid as it cooks. I just put a cloth around the hole so it absorbs the water. If you are looking for a small rice cooker, this would be the way to go. Tiffany Model# RC5A
A very surprising little rice cooker – I have never used a rice cooker. I've always used my Microwave - but unfortunately it died and the rice program on the new one just doesn't seem work. After trying various programs/timings and spoiling half a dozen batches, I decided to bite the bullet and buy an electric rice cooker. I chose the Tiffany because it was small (only 5 cups but it would be very rare for me to cook that much), extremely cheap and if it didn't work out, I wasn't out of pocket by too much. To my absolute surprise, it cooks my rice perfectly, both white and brown. OK, you have to fiddle with the amount of water (I am using more than recommended, particularly for the brown rice), but once you've cracked the right quantity, you end up with well cooked, fluffy rice. It does take longer than the microwave - but that's just a question of organising your cooking and starting the rice ahead of time. So far I haven't had any problems with sticking or burning however I am very careful of how I wash the inner bowl - soft cloth or sponge only, no scourers. But really, if it lasts me 12 months I'll be happy. I can always go and buy another one for $20!
