Rice Robot

It's ok if you don't have a big appetite, but really, it's so small and only cooks about a cup at a time, so you can't cook for family meals or it goes cold between shifts. I also found it unreliable re cooking times. Back to the saucepan for me.

It cooks plain rice fine. But don't trust the recipe book. There's a rice pudding recipe, which I was very excited for. to do!), put it on cook and walked away. Came back to a bench covered in milk, milk and cinnamon every crevice of my brand new expensive rice cooker. I don't know if the recipe book was written by AI or something but that recipe was clearly not tested in the very rice cooker it was written for! And after all that, the rice pudding wasn't even good. Will stick to stove top rice pudding and never put anything other than plain rice in this over-priced appliance.

I purchased the rice cooker to make the 60 different recipes in the rice robot recipe book. Extremely disappointed when it only works for plain rice. I tried making fried rice unfortunately I had to turn on the cook switch around 10 times and finally the rice was cooked. I’m not sure if the robot is suited to doing a fried rice as the flavour was a bit bland. Show details

My wife absolutely loves the Rice Robot and is telling everyone about it. The rice is cooked to perfection. Haven’t tried cooking anything else in as yet, but have no concerns that it will be anything different than perfection. Show reply

I live alone since my wife's death and this appliance is perfect for cooking the small meals I prefer to make in preference to frozen package meals or takeaway. It has completely lived up to my expectations. Show reply
