I have been happy using it in a care home

Probably had it 2 or 3 yrs the push handle door opener is getting stuck and I see rusting at bottom of frame otherwise happy I probably will get another if available as many support workers use it and don't want to confuse them or the person we care for Show details

Extremely similar to the 20lt Sharp

Saw this microwave in Big W, there was also a 20lt Sharp. Comparing them both side by side the cabinets are identical, inside the oven the metal pressings and glass turn table including the roller mechanism is identical. Only difference was the door and the control panel. I wonder if they were both made in the same Chinese factory only one has the Sharp name on it and the other has Big W Brilliant Basics on it. By the way the Sharp branded one was $170 and the Big W Brilliant Basics was $52 which is just over 1/3 of the Sharp price. It is a no brainer which to buy!!!

Perfect for budget

Very cheap price, lasted close to 3 years before it started sparking and clunking.
Takes ages to heat anything,
Quite small and compact,
A dinner plate is unable to rotate due to how small inside is,
Can only really use it by hitting 30 sec button and start and then adding more time.
However for a budget friendly microwave this is absolutely excellent.$52 for 3 years cant go wrong if you just want it for heating/reheating Show details

Great product with a very reasonable price. Large capacity

Very happy with the product overall, given its lower price tag. Does not allow for a set time to cook as have to do in bursts of 30 seconds. We mainly use it for the defrost function which is fine and easy to use. Show details

Great little microwave for the price!

Bought this microwave in Big W for $39 or thereabouts. It does everything you expect from a microwave, albeit it's only 700W. I really have only used it to heat up frozen meals or reheat food. It does a nice job of that. It heats evenly and if cooking instructions call for a certain time in 1000W oven, I usually add another 20% and it works fine. It's very small though and not much will fit in larger than a dinner plate. But it just keeps going and going so for $40 I have no complaiints. Show details

Worth the money

Probably one of the cheapest microwaves in the market, the whole body is made with plastic so looks as cheap as the price. This one did everything well, no complaint and I'm very satisfied considering of the money spend. Show details

Brilliant little machine for the money

Purchased a el cheapo microwave from Big W not expecting much. Yes it is a lower wattage at 700w but this little machine packs a punch for the price. The only reason I took off a star was because it only offers a 24 hour clock that is unchangeable. But I'll get used to it. Otherwise an excellent budget microwave for under $50. Show details

Hello, how do you change the clock on this microwave please? I’ve done it before but I’ve forgotten or it’s just getting a bit old by now and isn’t responding like it once did. Thanks!
