How to destroy your business and lose customers – Hi, ive bought bikes for bout 3 year's from Bill's Motorcycles, never had any problems due to the quality of the staff, the quality of their mechanics varied i bought a Moto Guzzi 940cc Belliago from them, had only one mechanical issue with it. The staff responded well i got the bike back 4-5 days later, but never felt sure the repairs were done… Read more

properly so i went to the other Guzzi dealer in Strathalbyn. My VN900 Custom had a power commander installed at Bill's, it damped the bikes power and was an absolute failure. I had it removed in disgust. I have mixed experiences regarding Bill's at Richmond, fantastic memories and great deals, and now i no longer do business with them. The staff have changed, time to move on.

Triple warning – Please do not use them - cannot even begin to start - no returned calls, misdiagnosed and to make matters worse SeaDoo Australia are aware and are not interested. I feel really sorry for the staff there as there are some nice guys there and they are obviously frustrated as well. To the Owners - do something quick - if you pay peanuts you will only get monkeys (so they say)

Warning ! – Do not deal with this company. Ive never been treated so poorly in my life. Our new jetski was sold to us with parts missing and we were told to have them fitted at the first service. We booked the service a week in advance and were told that was too far in advance for them. When we turned up first thing in the morning there was no record of our… Read more

booking. We were told that it might be ready at the end of the day. We ended up calling late afternoon and were told it would be the next day. So we rang the next day and were told it was ready to pick up. We asked if the rivets had been put in and they said they weren't sure but they would find out. When we arrived (it takes 40 minutes from our house) we were told they didn't have the rivets and they would put a rush order in to get them in 2 days at the latest and to leave our ski there. We were told it was actually unsafe to be using it. Two days passed and nothing and when we rang several times (with no call backs) we were eventually told they couldn't get the parts because sea doo only supplies them when they buy a new ski. We were promised something would be sorted. 3 and a half weeks had passed now and finally when I again rang we found out someone had gone on holidays and not sorted anything. They suggested to get the parts off another ski they already had at the showroom (which we had suggested in the first place). Finally we could pick it up. But this time my holidays had ended and only my husband could go. He paid and then was told they would need to "dig it out from round the back". It was being being kept out in the elements jammed in with around 20 other skis. Dirty and full of water including in the engine from 2 of the biggest storms and faded from the 40 degree heat. Shrunken material also with glue visible around it. A plank of wood was resting over the top also. It was pulled through hitting other skis and then up a steep driveway. My husband told the service manager when they were close to stop and he kept pushing. It went straight into the back of my car and put a hole in the bumper. All that was said by the manager was that he wasn't going to do anything about the damage and walked off. I rang the "general manager" who is probably around 20 something and he said he would help. A conference call a week later happened but all that was offered was a half price service (very insulting and as if we will ever go back) even though we were not even at fault and had been very calm the whole time. Apparently it was up to my husband to try to pull back on the ski with someone pushing it at full speed which is impossible as there isn't anywhere to grip at the back of a ski. Yelling stop stop stop wasn't enough?! This was even after several lies about what actually happened by the service manager. Again I contacted the general manager and he ignored my emails. I was even offering to go halves for the damage. Basically they are all friends and the service manager has only worked there a few months and has no experience with skis. They will all lie for each other and don't care about customers after they have sold it to you. Now we are left with a damaged ski, a damaged car and with zero compensation or care. My insurance is $800 excess so I'm just going to have to pay for it to be fixed myself. If you google map search you can actually see the conditions that the skis are left in. Also some poor person is going to buy a ski with missing rivets again. All I can hope for is that other people don't experience the same treatment. Go to Peter Stevens!

Danger Bills motorcycles,Adelaide ,South Australia – I purchased a Seadoo RXP260rs jet ski from the Richmond store on October 2015 brand new, looking forward to riding took it straight up the river only to have alarm, warning light and going into limp mode within 5mns of running, phoned shop straight away only to be told that it was nothing. To cut along story short ski has been in to both their… Read more

stores 6 times and they still can't find problem.

Have asked for my money back or new ski only to be told "do you think we want a second hand ski that does not" work by their general manager [name removed].....what a statement to make to a customer who has just spent over $19000 in his store.

There is three owners of bills motorcycles and not one of them [names removed] can actually make a decision with out handing it to this [name removed] who has not got the balls to tell Seadoo to replace my ski.

Seadoo(BRP) are just as bad, will not answer emails, say it is not their problem which I find amazing coming from the actual manufacturers of the ski.

If any one reads this post I would say to them look else where for buying and servicing as their reputation follows their name,I just wish I had.

Ask people first I'm sure I will be backed up with what I say.

[name removed] now deal with jet ski's completely different to deal with and you will walk away felling you have been looked after.

Ps gave them one star to be honest they are not even worth that.

Excellent service & prices for complete apparel fit out – Great professional service. Bought helmet jacket jeans and gloves, [name removed] was extremely knowledgable on every aspect of every product, I was confident in leaving him to recommend products to me based on my weekend only riding nature. Better prices than I could attain online or elsewhere too. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.

Incompetent workshop – Not sure what kind of tin pot workshop is being run by [Names removed] at Bills Motorcycles. Spinning stories about parts taking a minimum of 4 weeks. Just getting prices for parts taking weeks at a time. These time frames have been scoffed at by Kawasaki Australia who tell me the maximum time for parts is 2 weeks FROM JAPAN! My motorcycle has… Read more

been in their workshop for repair since January 19th 2015. No progress despite dozens of phone calls. They said is was ready and I found when I paid and took it out that it wasn't roadworthy and had to be returned. Just today they rang me to say a part that I had to personally arrange myself (because they couldn't seem to do so) was on back order yet again and wouldn't be there for 10 days. On checking with the Kawasaki Australia it turns out the part was delivered to them this morning so these guys are just amusing themselves by yanking my chain.

Lady motorcyclists and all who support them should give this company a wide berth. They have zero respect for female consumers and think it's fun to give them a run around for their own amusement. LADIES BEWARE.

And the latest bit of progress as of 10 minutes ago - they rang me because they have LOST THE KEY!

AVOID THIS WORKSHOP AT ALL COSTS.

Not impressed at all – When i contacted their Richmond service shop, i informed the happy chappy on the phone about my bikes on going problem (and recently getting alot worse) where she slips down and runs on 1 cylinder. As a few things had already been done, i asked for the couls and spark plugs to be replaced regardless. No probs! Next day i took my trumpy down. I was… Read more

told that a prognosis would be carried out in 2 days time. I reiterated "change coils". 2 weeks later, phone call. Needs new tyres. Fair enough. So far, bike has been services, carbs adjusted. Have they changed the coils?? Nup! They'll change the spark plugs. Again, i repeated about wanting to coils changed. Call a few days later. Bike is ready. I fly over (having been in Vic taking care of a death in the family) with intentions of riding her back. Mmmm! New tyres. New plugs, and new coils????!!!! NO! Mechanic could find anything wrong (well riding it up and down a car park, probably not). I rode the bike out, and low and behold, 2 sets of lights and I'm running on 1 cylinder. I take her back coughing and backfiring. Donkey dude comes out, sees/hears it and walks away. I presume hes gone to get the mechanic. So i keep the bike going 3 or 4 minutes. No one comes out. So I kill the engine and go in to service. Hes serving someone. At the end he asks what I want doing with the bike. I am bot inpressed. Howabout you do to the bike what I wanted near 3 weeks ago. Change the effing coils. He phones a supplier. Hangs up and tells me none in the country. So a 2 week wait, and they will cost $230 each. So when I pick up the bike in another 2 weeks, I will have forked out close to $1,300. Never ever use this circus again. They cAme recommended. My mate is now aplogising for that

Terrible Service – I am looking at spending approx. $20K at Bills Motorcycles. I went to the Blair Athol branch and had to wait around for at least 20 mins before being acknowledged. This as all while some bloke was sitting in his glass office typing away completely ignoring me. When I finally got served the bike I wanted to look at was at a 45 degree angle up on… Read more

the wall. I'm not sure how they expected me to sit on it. Luckily they has some in the storage area out back. Anyway I left and then sent in an email asking some important questions about the bike. This was weeks ago and I am still waiting for a reply. I then spoke to a mate who races bikes and he told me Bills has turned to rubbish since it was sold to someone else and not to waste my time dealing with them. This is unfortunate as they are the only dealer in Adelaide. They are giving the brand a bad name. I then decided to try the Richmond branch. I rang multiple times only to be left on hold and forgotten about. I eventually just left my number and email hoping for a call back. I did get a call back and an email with pricing. I replied to email with important questions and it has been a couple of weeks now and still no answer. I then decided to go into the Richmond Branch to compare pricing I received from South East Marine in Naracoorte. I was looking at some bikes when the salesman, too lazy to get off his chair, yelled out to me across the store asking if I needed help. I walked over to him and asked his best price. He looked in his book for five minutes and then said he would have to call supplier. I stood there expecting him to call supplier but he just sat there staring at me. I asked how long it would take. He said it would take around twenty minutes or so depending on if they took his call. Twenty minutes to ask one question!? I stood there expecting him to pick up the phone as he wasn't busy and there was no one else in the store. He didn't move. I left my details and expected a call back. Nope! No call back.

I will be buying bike from South East Marine 353 kms from my house and I will be sending it to them for every service.. Ask for Daniel or Nathan. These guys were bloody great. I spoke to Nathan first and he knew what he was talking about and answered all my questions there and then. Then Daniel called me to make sure I was happy. We chatted and I had lots more questions which he answered straight away. The bike was more expensive at Bills but service is more important to me than price. Just so Bills know they lost 3 sales to the value of $68K, not to mention the thousands we would have spent on accessories, as two of my mates experience the same thing and we have all gone to South East Marine, 238 Smith Street, Naracoorte SA 5271 Ph. 0408 843 123 Ask for Daniel or Nathan.

Feeling cheated- Misleading, rude, arrogant & incompetent staff – Bought a new sea- doo jetski from bills motorcycles in January after looking for months. It was our first time buying a jetski. After visiting the shop in Blair Athol a number of times we decided to go ahead with our purchase. We were promised a full tank of petrol and advised that we will need to service the jetski at 10hrs and then every 50 hrs,… Read more

the salesman let us know that he and other people usually service theirs at the end of the season. We double checked this a number of times and as it was one of the main reasons for choosing sea-doo over other brands that require more frequent servicing costing more in the long run. Sadly this was all a lie! We picked up our jetski and advised the salesman we would take it out that day and that it would be our first time- he proceeded to discuss safety/features etc. he did not, at any point, let us know that we will need to fill up the tank- after we had been promised a full tank!

We got on to the ocean only to discover we had no petrol rendering the vessel not sea worthy! Lucky we had enough to go back to shore! Thinking he forgot, I made p/c to the salesman only to be lied to again saying that he never said it would have a full tank- if this was the case then why not tell us when you spend 30mins going through safety for the jetski?? He did not appear to care. A while later we returned to service the jetski only to be told that it also needs to serviced at 25hrs. When I complained about all the lies, I was treated incredibly rudely. the man laughed at me saying they've sold jet skis for 20 years so they know what they're doing. We then picked the jetski up only to be told that it was not fastened properly on the trailer, again another mistake made by the initial salesman. This damaged the jetski and caused us to have to stop various times when driving as the jet ski was not on properly. The oil cap was also left off the engine after the service. It's mind blowing how many lies and mistakes can be made when these people have been selling jetskis for 20years and are supposed 'experts'! Although I understand mistakes can be made, some will cost us more in the future and all of this is compounded by the rude and arrogant staff. I will take my complaint further if this is not resolved and pass on this review to friends who are in the process of buying jetskis! Very disappointed and feeling cheated!
