Best service great price
I have been having issues with my car for a little while, squeaking and vibrating.
Spoke to Bob Jane and the fitted me in first thing...
Dropped the car off early and they took it in straight away. 30 minutes later and it was all done and ready to go..
The professionalism, courtesy and overall service was just fantastic, definitely would recommend and will definitely use again.
Bullying, harassment condoned by all.
Head office ignores communication in regards to wc issues, franchisee encouraged and participate in such actions. A company that puts head in sand from top down in favour of money with no regards to safety.
Excellent service on company D Max
I had new Yokohama tyres fitted to my company D max on Saturday the 19th of June, Adam provided a quote that beat all competitors and he matched the quote on the same tyres being fitted by Bob Jane back in 2017 only costing $40 more. I received a call to say they had trouble removing the wheel nuts, when I arrived all nuts had been replaced with no extra cost to me, now that’s what I call service.
Declined Wheel alignment did I ? not!
Would have left this alone but am annoyed that the Granville store wrote wheel alignment “declined by the customer” when this was not what happened. I dropped the car off at 10.45am today as agreed for 4 tyres and a wheel alignment. Was advised it usually takes 60mins but they were busy so it would be 90mins and would be ready at 12.15. They suggested I go and have a coffe or breakfast while I wait. As they were busy I thought I would give them as much time as I could spare and returned at 1.15pm only to be told that they hadn’t done the wheel ...alignment. I had no choice but to leave without that being done which is not what I intended at all and now I have to have this done somewhere else and spend more time. Not happy but as I said, would have left this alone had they not stated that I declined the wheel alignment which is untrue and seems to be an attempt to absolve themselves of any liability .
Great customer service from Steve at the Bob Jane T-Mart store Toombul Brisbane
I needed to buy four new tyres for my daughters car which involved getting advice from Steve over the phone then sending my daughter in by herself to get them fitted. He made it so easy and it felt like a real fatherly approach and she was thrilled with the service. Great job Steve and the Toombul team.
Tried to Con me
As a teenage girl who doesn’t know much about cars at all, the worker at Bob Jane T-Mart thought I was an easy target to try and con. I have always had continental tyres on my car and was really happy with them, that is until one got popped. With one popped and two needing replaced anyway it seemed smart to get four new tyres. Went to Bob Jane, asked for a quote on the same tyres I had, he said there was a deal on them right now and he would give me a quote. I saw the price and thought GREAT BOOK ME IN! Booked in for new tyres two days later. b...ut upon closer inspection of the quote, it was for Xenon tyres. After researching further (google was my best friend) I find that Xenon tyres are expensive crappy tyres that Bob Jane exclusively sell. Tried to rip me off. Luckily I had read the fine print and cancelled the booking, otherwise I would’ve been out of pocket hundreds of dollars for crappy tyres that don’t work in the rain. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Took my car for its 5000 km wheel check

Elizabeth Street- Melbourne #1
Drove in with a flat in the back expecting to be told to leave it and come back but no- they asked if I wanted it done straight away.
So I took a seat and then they asked if I wanted it put back on the car- for sure I did.
15 minutes later it's done, I have the keys and I go to pay- but the Manager said there was no charge.
Woo Hoo- BobJaneElizabeth St Melbourne- #1.
My warning light appeared saying tyre pressure needed checking, but couldn’t quite see what tyre. Drove into Elizabeth Street Bob Jane and the manager (owner?) met me in the driveway, saw immediately what the problem was and had it fixed for me in no time at all. I couldn’t be happier.

More Than $7,000 Damage To My Vehicle
Went into Bob Jane Alberton store in Adelaide (1st April 2021) for a simple tyre rotation and they returned my vehicle (BMW twin turbo convertible) with over $7,000 damage as quoted by a crash repairer. Prior to being told of the damage, the manager ([Name Removed]) knowing the vehicle had been damaged, waited for me to pay a measly $25 for the simple tyre rotation and when the transaction was completed, he stepped in to inform me of the incident. Obviously no guilt in taking a measly $25 from a long term customer after destroying his vehicle. ...I have told this to more than 50 people and every single person was appalled at the managers action. Says a lot about the person. The excuse given to me at the time was that the young driver's vision was impaired looking through the rear window. The vehicle travelled no more than 3 meters prior to the collision with the other parked vehicle. Based upon the level of damage, speed was the major factor. This was also the opinion of two crash repairers as well as my insurance company. Make your own judgement - view the photos attached! The car is also fitted with a fully functioning sophisticated reversing/parking sensors with graphical display on large screen with audible alarms. There are also side mirrors on the vehicle and if the driver cared to use them would have clearly seen the vehicle he collided with. There was no excuse for this damage to have occurred. It was down to pure negligence and abuse of customer property. They should not have allowed a young driver in a performance vehicle. Bob Jane's view of this incident is that their only obligation is to repair the vehicle through their insurance. They (store manager and customer service manager) are not willing to entertain any form of compensation for my inconvenience - dealing with insurance companies and crash repairers, the distress this has put on my family (had to cancel a short holiday over the Easter break), devaluation of the vehicle and the loss of unused insurance and registration as car will be off the road for at least 2 months. I have requested that Bob Jane supply me a set of tyres out of good will to cover my inconveniences and losses over and above the repair of my vehicle. Their response (knowing that I cannot claim for anything outside the repair of the vehicle) is that they are not interested in any form of good will as this is now in the hands of the insurance company. For a company that sells millions of tyres per year, I didn't think this was too much to ask...but then again...they did take my $25 before telling me they demolished my car. I have tried reasoning with them and given them many opportunities to show good will to no avail. Have yet to receive an apology from Bob Jane Customer service manager ([Name Removed]) even after pointing this out to him. An apology is the very least you would expect from someone in customer service. I guess that is the difference between customer service and customer care. For the sake of ignorance and arrogance on Bob Jane's behalf, this could potentially cost them more than a set of tyres as this matter will now escalate.
Questions & Answers
Do you do after pay
Does Bob Jane have an official policy regarding the way wheel nuts must be tightened, or is this left to the discretion of each franchise or individual mechanics? In particular, are mechanics allowed to just use impact wrenches and estimate the required torque, or do they use torque limiting extensions (torque sticks), or do they do the final tightening by hand using a torque wrench?
Bob Jane T-Marts do have a procedure to correctly tension wheel nuts/studs. Please email email@example.com to discuss further.
I emailed firstname.lastname@example.org several days ago, but am still waiting on a reply. In the mean time I have done some more web searching, and I found one discussion on Whirlpool where someone mentioned that Bob Jane required the final tighten to be done with a torque wrench, with instant dismissal for anybody caught not complying. Unfortunately in the same thread someone else commented that if this were the case then that would mean the entire workshop staff would be gone at his local Bob Jane! See https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2757100#r57546014 for the thread. So maybe I need to know not only what the official policy is, but also whether or not the policy is actually followed!
I finally got a reply. Bob Jane does not have any official policy, but they do have an internal document that is used for training purposes. The reply didn't say what procedure they recommend in this document. So I still don't know either what procedure Bob Jane train their staff to use, or how widely their staff follow this procedure once they have completed their training, but I do at least know that a training document exists!
Since what really matters is what my local Bob Jane staff actually do my next step is probably to chase this up with my local franchise. Sorry to have wasted everyone's time here...
How old are the tyres you sell allowed to be?
We bought tyres in July 2019 they have now travelled 700km and we got knocked back on rego inspection today because they were manufactured in 2015 and the mechanic says they have cracks between the tread.
Manufacturers give a warranty of 5 years after manufacture date and we do not repair tyres over 8 years old. If you have recently bought the tyres as you said, please contact your local Bob Jane so we can inspect your tyres. If they are indeed faulty, we will make sure to get you back on the road safely and have the manufacturer pick up this tyre.
Also, feel free to send this to email@example.com and we will look into this issue further for you.
