Very disappointing experience with BIZ cover QBE. Despite holding an active policy and paying premiums, claims remain unsettled and the process has been unnecessarily prolonged with excessive investigations. The involvement of brokers and loss adjusters has made the experience frustrating and disruptive to business operations. Overall, the claims handling falls well below expected industry and professional standards. Not recommended. Show details

They took money to renew a policy which I never asked for them to do. I immediately called and said I wanted a refund and DID NOT want to renew the policy. The woman on the phone told me I would receive a refund within 2 business days. I asked her… Read more
three times if that meant 2 business days from our phone call. Each time she said yes. I have not received the refund for the policy renewal that I never asked for. They still have my money which I need to pay rent.

They quote and then come up with things like company has raised a red flag, when we have made no claims and premiums always paid. Then they give excuse that no time to get brokers to quote when have not mentioned any urgency for the quote. They may give you a very competitive quote, but it appears like a gimmick to get you to call them. Don't waste your time. Show details
If there was a negative rating, I would give this -5 stars! Called in to support for a quote because the website would not provide me one, and the person on the line was exceptionally rude, cutting me off mid-sentence. She finally hung up on me without a word after I thanked her for the information I needed. If it's customer service you are after, RUN! Show details

replied with an automated message saying "if you want to cancel, just go through the website". Which is exactly where I started!!
I really didn't want to have to call them. I had already called about a previous issue and found that the waiting time on hold was upwards of 45 minutes. However, it was reaching the time when they would charge me more money so I had no choice but to call and listen to their excruciating hold music. When I finally got through to a human being, she cancelled it very easily. I asked if it was their policy to only cancel subscriptions over the phone, and she told me that instead it was an unspecified "technical issue".

claim is after your insurance is cancelled for whatever reason then you are not covered for that claim unless you have run-off cover. Maybe some professionalism by advising new clients of the need for run-off insurance when there is a need for continuing cover in certain industries eg health would be appreciated so that business owners/sole traders have adequate insurance. ""The claims-made nature of the Professional Indemnity coverage is determined by the insurer and not by BizCover. This means that upon cancellation of the policy, the coverage ceases completely, even for the time the policy was held. The declaration played upon cancellation states, "For claims-made policies, no coverage applies after cancellation; claims must be reported while the policy is active." This declaration further confirms that no coverage applies following cancellation, including the time the policy was held. However, regarding Public Liability, you would still have coverage in place for the time the policy was held until its effective date of cancellation."" Read the fine print or you may find yourself uninsured when providing services. This company also requires that you confirm that you want your insurance cancelled after receiving a request to cancel the policy. You are also requested to advise why you want your policy to be cancelled for them to eventually cancel your policy.

They disappear when you ask to cancel - the initial confirmation email stated that payment should only take 3 business days to process, however it took 1 failed attempt and 6 days (I had sufficient funds in my account). I sent an email to both of their available email addresses (support@bizcover.com.au and cancel@bizcover.com.au) to cancel my policy, as I do not have the option to click cancel on their website. I haven't received a reply. Avoid them at all costs. If they take unauthorised withdrawals after cancelling your policy or you do not get a refund - get in contact with your bank to stop all future withdrawals and get the money back.

I took out 2 separate insurances with BizCover, one for indemnity insurance and the other for personal accident insurance. I explicitly told them that the PAI will be coming out of my SMSF. Yet they took both payments out of the SMSF. This is illegal! Biz Cover failed to advise me that they require 2 separate emails for 2 insurances. At no time did I authorize Bizcover to take both payments out. They have been referred to ACFA. Show details

renewed again and then starts the issues: EMail cliaming that the second draw on my account dishonoured and then the policy was cancelled, yet my bank statement showed a second drawing met on presentation. This happens all the time with this group on renewal. When you raise it no apology and nothing changes. Wish I could leave a positive review but far from happy. I took out my policy on June 4th charged another fee on June 27th after I had cancelled a further payment taken on July 28th another payment on August 14th. After countless hours on the phone trying to talk to a human and several emails later requesting refunds and to have my policy deactivated I am beyond impressed. I received excellent service and exactly what I needed within a 15 minute phone call. The service assistant was amazing. He asked all the right questions and answered my own queries immediately. Hands down this was the best phone service I’ve received to date. I highly recommend BizCover to anyone needing business insurance.

After a couple of years premium suddenly doubled , when asked they said they could do nothing about this , they quoted another insurer at the same price I was paying but said there was a 8 buck fee for monthly payments (ripp off) . Then forced to wait on the phone for ages to cancel the policy. If you are in small business suggest you avoid them . Went to NRMA 20% cheaper no monthly fee Show details
When I found out my usual insurance company after I had paid them for multiple insurances for three businesses, they explain to me at the last minute that they don't have professionally indemnity. It's probably not a big deal there's not a lot that can go wrong with this business but just to be on the safe side I found BizCover and they are able to sort that out for me at a very good rate in an expedited manner. While I received the advance notice my cover (which was no longer needed) was coming up for renewal, I received NO advice the payment had been taken out of my account OR a copy of my cover (couldn't even claim it as no record).
