So many things went wrong with it – In the few years that we have had this oven, numerous things have gone wrong with it. The power unit at the back blew up twice with a bang and puff of acrid smoke. The glass front literally exploded into tiny pieces when we were cooking at about 250C. The fan forced heating element has now blown. I would not buy another Blanco and the range hood… Read more

that came with it is a piece of crap - the light fitting blew numerous times and the electrician said that it was a fire risk and disconnected it.

DODGY HINGES and SEALS, exploding door – The oven was with the house we purchased, about 2 years old. We've lived here 7 years now. In this time, we've replaced hinges twice - repair man telling us the hinges are designed for their 60cm oven and NOT suitable to function well for this 90 cm oven. Plus we've replaced the oven seal 3 times. They last about 2 to 3 months then bam - they… Read more

break. We gave up replacing them a few years ago, as it was costing us too much.

Last week - yep like so many other reviews on here - the front of the door (the bit the handle is stuck to) exploded. Only pure luck I was standing to the side of the oven when it happened, and no kids were in the kitchen at the time! It was a very dramatic noise and glass was everywhere!!

Never will I recommend this brand to anyone.

We replaced the oven, no, we cannot afford this cost and it's really hurting our family budget to do this, but we do not want this Blanco in our house any longer!!

We advised Blanco, and they wiped their hands of it, and said it was us, who have bumped the hinges over time - no idea how I could do that as I am so careful and I don't "bump" the sides of the oven ever!!

DO NOT BUY BLANCO!

Reasonable mid-range free standing cooker with poor oven hinges – We have had this cooker now for 5 years and the gas cook top works well. The oven cooks fine as well but the hinges are weak and the door stays slightly open when the oven is used. I have repaired the hinges once and closed the gap but that only lasted a year. Also the oven seal is flimsy rubber and breaks easily and I have replaced it several… Read more

Bit disappointing as I would have expected 15 years good service from it.

Blanco the exploding glass oven – Like every one here we had the hinges go but then the other night while cooking a roast the glass at the front exploded. Im just glad my little one was not in the kitchen at the time. The oven was only set to 160 so heat shpuld have not being a problem. Blanco i say stay away  Show details

poor design door hinges – I have owned the oven for 9 years and replaced door hinges 5 times. Having worked in appliance repairs, I am able to replace, however still pricey for the life you get out of them. Shame Blanco that hinges cannot sustain the weight of the oven door. I am also overly careful of opening and closing also so don't give me that excuse for hinges wearing.  Show details

Love this oven! – I don't know what so many people are talking about- I inherited this oven from the people who owned this house and I reckon it's great. I've had it for two years now without a single issue. I love it. Not a single problem at all- great oven in my opinion!

Replacement parts? Not a snowballs chance in hell! – I'm currently renting a property which has a BF895W installed. Aside from the seals falling off, resulting in uneven cooking, I had no issues - until last November, when it started tripping the safety switch, & ultimately wouldn't turn on at all. The problem was, apparently, the main fuse at the back, which is stuffed. 4 months later, I'm still waiting for a replacement part, & have to light the gas burners manually. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!

Dangerous design, fire risk – 2 years ago our stove tripped our meter many times, we replaced the light globe each time, plus had the strong smell of burning. We rang Poter Davis first then Blanco they said its out of warranty, I said it is faulty & should be recalled as it could have burn our home down if we had used the auto timer option to have our food ready after we… Read more

finish work, we stopped using this feature due to the hazard.

Woolley repair man came it cost us $231 he replaced the temperature control box at the back of the oven, it was melted because it got too hot & it was made of plastic, he replaced it with another plastic box even though we objected he said this is how it's done.

Today we had to ring for assistance as the oven won't heat up at all, only the top element for the grill, stoves should last at lest 12 years, this one is 6 years old & it came with our new Porter Davis Prestige home, don't buy this brand & don't accept this brand in your build.

Consumer Affairs & ACCC should help consumers get compensated.

Lemon – This oven has been fixed a couple of times at a cost of about $400 each time, the door seals break, the hinges break and let's not forget the $100 technician fee each time. Blanco can only guarantee the parts for 3 months and that's about the time they last for. Blanco are NO help and just say oh well. I would never buy a Blanco product again. Blanco should be called LEMON as these products are inferior, don't buy Blanco

Seems impossible to repair – We have been 3 weeks without our oven. 8 weeks after the warranty expired we were told we had a faulty switch. We have been nothing but messed around. The parts come from overseas and seem near impossible to get. We have no idea how much longer we will be waiting as we have had to chase there has been no customer care.

Don't ever buy a Blanco! – What a waste of money, changing seal every 3 to 6 months, have replaced all knobs multiple times. Also, door won't close properly - bought the BFS95FFF model - trust me, I will never buy any Blanco product again! Shame on you for ripping people off.

Hinges are not fit for purpose, but super magnet help – Door continued to sag open, so sat two super magnets in the oven door frame, they assist, but do not keep the door fully closed in operation. Caution magnets may fly off causing injury if not firmly fixed.

Should be better – Oven door glass exploded when new on first operation just over a week before Xmas. Replaced under warranty after Xmas so that was disappointing to say least as it was unusable. to replace door seal again. This stove is not overused. Quality and service should be better for this 'higher end' product. Thinking of cutting and running as this is looking like a lemon.

This is a review. The oven is brilliant, but hinges are poorly designed. Fixable – I OWN this oven, and it's brilliant. BUT to spend so much money on it and have the door hinges fail so easily is disgraceful. And just out of warranty. However, the issue is fixable, and it appears as though Blanco meant to have some type of clamp or other device screwed in to the lower hinge support section, but never did. As a result, the… Read more

hinge support bends and the door sags open.

I give it 2 stars. Would give it a 5 if not for the pain and trouble the hinges caused me, until I got physical with it and fixed it myself.

Blanco BFS95FFF Is this the worst oven ever made? – Oven door hinges failed from second use. Blanco would not honour the warranty as it came new in a renovated property we purchased (no receipt in our name). Property also came with a new Blanco built in microwave whose electronics failed within 3 months. After sales service unhelpful - in denial there is a design problem. Disgraceful. This is the worst product that I have ever used – I have only used my stove for cooking and have never actually used the oven before. Now the stove has no power due to the fact that it isn't connected and I don't know why. After 5 years of using the Italian made stove, I believe that this is presumably the worst stove that I have ever used. It was too expensive and the quality wasn't worth it

Worst oven ever! – So glad I am not the only one with oven seal problems and door hinges!! In 6 years I have replaced the seal 4 times and it was twice in the first year. The service people fob you off and nothing has ever been done to assist in fixing the matter… Read more

hinges – This has got to be one of the worst purchase's Ive done. I have owned the dudd cooker for just over 5 years. In that time we have replaced the hinges 3 time's and the seal twice, with the cost around the $300 dollar mark each time. I now have to replace the hinges yet again as the oven is not closing again. it was on sale at the time hinges and seal

average – Door seal needs to be replaced after only two years. Door seems too heavy for oven and won't sit flush with oven meaning always losing some heat and everything cooks more on one side. However Blanco Sales have offered to send a new seal for free, which is better than $140 odd we were going to be charged by an oven repair company plus service fee great cook top and great size Expensive for what you get

oven door does not close due to hinges problem – Oven cannot be used due to the door not closing properly, the new model has much bigger hinges. Blanco does not seem to care. I had better customer care for a $ 300 item. This cost close to $ 3000.00. This problem has been reported by many people, not a new problem for Blanco. just bad luck for the customer Oven door does not close due to hinges too small for the weight of the door.

Lemon – Good to cook with but for the money you pay, an absolute lemon in quality terms. Blanco difficult to get genuine assistance from. Service agent admits poor design, but Blanco charge like wounded bulls for service/spares. 2 door seals in first 2 years, door misaligned, heat and noise escape from oven. Oven good heat, even, usable space Abysmal manufacture quality, poor engineering design, limited warranty

Not sure of the lastest model - but have a 10yr old one – Gas shut-off has failed/jammed. Oven door seal leaks and has spoiled the cooktop knobs. My model has no self-cleaning which is a curse as last time I tried to clean it the elements didn't work and had to be replaced. Temp sensors for the cooktop stopped working and wouldn't allow the gas to stay on (helps if you jam a wooden spoon in the oven door… Read more

handle to depress the gas knob in - terrible if it falls out and you gas the entire house). To get this item repaired I was quoted over $1000. Good to see they've replaced the outdated, inadequate knob timer with a digital one. A new timer to replace the old one was coming in at $600, a new seal was $105 and a call-out fee alone was $90. These ovens are "Buyer Beware". Purchase any additional warranty with it to cover yourself. Oven does cook well, even though it leaks. Stove top was good, when it worked. Poorly manufactured. Expensive to repair (if you can find a repairman)

Contuining door problems....like everyone else! – This oven has, and still has, endless door problems. Within the first 3 years we had to spend over $350 to have the door fixed, plus the "call-out" fee. But is saying that it really didn't last very long. The oven also leaks heat, which in turn has dissolved all the knob directions etc. The door seal has gone....two ignitions have gone and all… Read more

in all its a wreck in 5 years. I would expect better. Call the service man again, he took one look and said "its a manufacturing fault, contact Blanco and they will replace the whole oven....I have seem this before". Contacted Blanco, they say contact service people, they need to report it....then Manager says "oh no...this can be fixed" They then come back with the parts and proceed to say its about a 5 hour job and they need to take the complete oven apart to reach the brackets! So here we are still with a wooden spatula jammed in the oven door to secure it............by the way if you read the other reviews you will notice an "oven door" pattern. Don't go near it, its shoddy. Look nice Lousy after service....expensive

Bad – Looks great works well but beware the door will drop over time and cost you $$$$ to get fixed. Our door started to drop slightly after a couple of yeasr and seadliy got worse. Nice looking and heats quickly. Well it seems this model has an issue with the door not closing properly after time due to the shoddy hinges on the oven side of the door.

OK – Looks like a nice oven but construction could be better. Rubber seals keep breaking - I bake bread and pizza which requires max temp which could be reason but parts should be robust enough for these purposes. Seals cost $120 to replace. Oven hinge gave out during warranty, cost over $250 to replace with parts and service call. Apparently not uncommon. Looks good. Oven door gets hot. Oven rubber seals replaced twice. Oven hinge replaced.
