BMW G 310 GS

test ride , on start up the stock exhaust was as you would expect , not loud just a low burble , drop into first gear quite positive and off I went . As I shifted thru the gears the exhaust note is really good not to loud but better than you would expect especially thru the gears. The GS is nimble ., good comfortable sure footed ride in traffic with great visibility due to the relaxed upright. riding position , when I came to the highway the bike is responsive so no problems merging or overtacking . Off the tar onto rough road is no problem at all , abs brakes can be turned on or off with a touch of a button as the situation occurs .the tank with 11 lts will give you around 300 ks depending on how you ride the throttle. As an old guy whos had the cruiser , the sport bike times this GS is a fun light weight bike for highway and fire trails , I love it . It is NOT a speed demon and does not pretend to be , top speed is about 145 kph , but it gives you all that you need , you can sit on 120 or so all day on the highway if you want and still have enough to overtake. The only things I recommend are , a taller windscreen , grips , aux power plugs , a good engine guard , radiator protector to start with , there are lots of other stuff that is available to fit your personal taste. This is just my short review of basics after one year of ownership and in short the bike is just the thing if you want a little adventure , comfort and reliability and lets face , fun . If you want to pull the ton and are sure you really need that get something else , this bike is great for beginners as well as us old guys who just want to get out and have some fun.
