It might look nice to start, but be aware there is no warranty then the finish comes away after 3 years. They blame wear and tear, but its the actual finish that does not last. Especially in areas that don't even get touched. Just remember its a whole lot of money to have no customer service, lies for a little time of shutters.....
Just wondering if any other former employees. Have managed to get any of their superannuation. From these criminals. The boss paid himself all of the superannuation owed to his employees as a dividend.In to his family's trust.
Poor management/ service & communication - horrible experience
Paid my deposit and ordered 6 window shutters in mid September, was guaranteed shutter frames would be flush to wall, as was pictured on my quote. Delivered and installed November, and the frames are sitting out from wall up to 40mm, stopped installation that day, and called Boardwalk and wasn't contacted back for months then was told to remove them which caused damaged to my newly painted window frames, ceilings and walls. On removal discovered they installed wide frame causing the problem of frames to hang out from the wall. Asked them to re...place with narrow frame so I would get what was quoted and promised, they refused and on 31 March 20, nearly 6 months later I have damaged walls from there removal and I am still rolling garbage bags up every morning for sunlight and privacy. Worst experience I've ever had in communication and service and lack of responsibility. I've renovated for 15 years and communication and flexibility on both sides usually resolves any issues, they don't communicate and have no service or responsibility. Worst experience I have ever had as a consumer.

Looks fantastic and they also seem to insulate a bit, took a few weeks to arrive though this was explained to me at the beginning.

Boardwalk have had payment in full since mid March for our plantation shutters and it has taken until today - Mid June, to receive all of our shutters. Really poor management at Boardwalk.
On the day of installation (we had been having other renovations) I had moved as much as I could but as shutters were going on two large windows/sliding doors in the same room could not move everything. (These were not the only shutters being installed so room was limited).
I asked if they would like any thing moved and was told no, they would move it.
However they damaged two of my freshly painted walls and guess what I was told they are not responsible for any damage to any services or obstructions (it is in the fine print) by the rude woman...
I would like to thank boardwalk for their excellent service and workmanship, from the very first quote to the amazing installers Sam and Scott I am so happy with my shutters, I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Thank you once again
Plantation shutters aren't cheap so I was a bit nervous about placing my order (since we had lots of other reno issues with other companies). But I am so happy with our decision to go with Boardwalk.
1. They didn't put any pressure to buy from them when they came to quote.
2. They were the cheapest of my 2 quotes and threw in complimentary blinds which are great (saved me $1000+)

Cut into mains water
2 guys arrive to fit plantation shutters- they were absolutely superb until the next person arrived and drilled into the mains water. He and the company say it's not their fault or problem. How were they to know there's a water pipe going up the wall (like I should know). The tradie said very strange as all pipes should lead from the slab! Rang the builder to be told that's a load of rubbish - only waste goes via the slab and all builders are the same. All water comes in via roof and down. The girl in the office is totally uninterested - only w...ants to make it clear I'm responsible as it states in their terms & conditions! Contacted Consumer Affairs who advise me I have a strong case as it may be a case of undue care and skill performed as clearly the toilet tap is directly below. Had to get a plumber out today and as they no longer use copper pipes in walls only poly pipes then they had to chip out a meter long hole to gain access. I understand accidents happen and I'm blaming no-one however why the hell am I left to pay this. Now I have to organise a plasterer to fix this mess. Would definitely not recommend this company as my experience from the office girl is they couldn't care less. After all - we're only paying around $6,000 for the job!
Exceptional customer service and products
Called into the showroom one lunchtime when driving past, great service from the receptionist and sales staff who greeted me so I didn't have to ask for assistance. Sales lady gave me the name of their rep for my suburb and suggested he rings me to arrange a measure and quote. I had no measurements with me as it was a spur of the moment drop in. Dave Heath rang that same afternoon, came by the next morning and listened to what I wanted, measured and quoted. I said yes, paid the deposit. Installation was quoted to be 1-2 weeks which was fine.... Two business days later, I get a call that they were ready to install! Within one week, my new gates (side and driveway) plus screens along the top of a lower brick wall are installed with no issues at all. I'm very impressed from start to finish, the guy installing was also fantastic and did a perfect job. The whole process couldn't have been any easier. I'm now looking to see what else I can purchase from this excellent business and telling everyone about them plus showing photos

got an email from the receivers today and the company has been bought and receiver said the new owners would be in touch with me in the next 4 days. have been told they will be honouring the order. we paid $946 deposit and still have $1100 balance - here hoping!!
Omg! That’s great news. We have one bloody window left out of 10 !! And because we used them a lot we paid in full. So it would be $1100 down the drain if they don’t come do it.
