check measure person, he questioned the non standard window type and unsure on the type of fly screen and how to install. The quote person phoned a few days later to advise a revised quote of an additional $1,800 which I advised I would not pay! Another visit by the install manager for a further check measure. Poor communication, I had to follow up numerous times for an install date. Lack of communication between the quote person, check measure person, manager check measure person and the install person. They were aware of the access, stairs and parking - the fly door would not fit in the lift and the install person complained that he needed to walk up the fire stairs.They did not communicate the type of window to ensure correct fly screen was fitted. The install person was extremely rude. I requested he take the plastic rubbish packaging for the doors , he told me it was in my bin, i told him he needed to take the rubbish, he said it was in the recycling bin as the plastic was recyclable !! I said plastic was NOT RECYCLABLE, he argued that that plastic was recycling and MY responsibility for the rubbish , he reluctantly agreed to take the plastic rubbish. The installer didn't bring a ladder in order to complete the job despite 2.7m fly door!! After install completed realised that the main fly door and kitchen screen was torn, the 2nd fly door screen not secured properly and already coming away, the main fly door not fitted correctly and was not straight, all the fly screens had gaps at the bottom, the fly screens not tensioned properly. Another visit by the install manager who agreed to fix the issues. BUT disputed the gap at the bottom of the fly screen and said MY problem despite their agreement to ensure no gap at the bottom of the fly screen. Scheduled repair today by another install manager. He phoned (after the agreed arrival time) to advise the replacement fly screens had been lost and would need to reschedule AGAIN. Wasted my time to make the arrangement to be at home. Totally unsatisfactory service and product does not meet excepectations.

timeframes we requested were met. I appreciated Andrew's expertise so much that I again engaged him to quote and measure on other blinds not included initially. Again he arrived promptly and provided great advice and service. Robert the installer communicated prior ensuring he would arrive at a certain time and day and did. Robert is a great individual with loads of experience. He was professional, efficient and quickly went about the installation. Tackled minor issues with finese. Robert is a pleasant and professional gentleman. He provided us with a beautiful finish. The end result was far better than envisaged. The quality of the material and workmanship was outstanding. It has transformed every room. I highly recommend both Andrew and Robert from The Blind Factory and intend to use them again.

Unfortunately had a bad experience multiple times with The Blind Factory product. Pin holes in blinds, wrongly measured FRS to cover rollers that I had to accept. Factory product primarily is that the materials they use for their roller blinds are cheap, and were continuously arriving on install day damaged at my house (aprox 4 times). Had to settle with a faulty product in the end. Contacted “Brett” /owner with an email outing my experience as they have a ‘contact Brett’ form on their page…. Never heard back from Brett and it was submitted around a month ago …..

So I rang to make a booking. All was good but then I decided to cancel as I was looking for a different product which wasn’t provided by the blind factory. Spoke with a ‘Hailey’ who was not helpful at all and just hung up abruptly when informed I needed to cancel. Not great service right from the onset.

If anyone is looking at getting a quote from the blind factory I would strongly suggest you contact their competitors without delay. My reason is rather simple. wife and I but it was due to this Companies poor internal communication between the installer and the factory. An absolute joke of or something so simple to rectify. In addition we did not receive any apology from the company other than the installer who was genuinely embarrassed by the total install experience. The Blind factory should be taken off your to contact list.

Second time I've used the blind factory, they always communicate through the process and are very helpful. Everyone from the first contact to book a quote, the person that comes to measure (this time Stephanie), the fast and detailed quote, clear deposit and payment instructions and the fitter (Tristan this time) are all excellent.
