Great little bike – I have made my Mio 50 for 5 years and the only reason I am getting rid of it is due to someone reversing back onto me and damaging the body work - parts seem very expensive so the insurance company will probably write it off. The bike handles really well and uses so little fuel. I use it to commute daily to the city. Just a quick tip: put in… Read more
the high octaneunleaded fuel. The price difference is minimal and the people who service both mine and my husbands have always commented how the engine is in amazing condition. Worth the extra $1per week Fun to ride, cheap to fill up, always starts first time even after being away for a few weeks The petrol fill cap is in a difficult position if you have the box installed

over 30 mph because of it. Going up any kind of a hill is slow and tedious, and quite frankly, dangerous. To overcome this, one can buy a no rev limit CDI unit for as little as $10 (eBay) it's a straight replacement. Your best advised also, to de restrict further, by changing the rollers in the transmition from 10 grammes down to 6 grammes, and removing a restrictor ring, found in the same area. This is pretty easy and is covered in detail on U Tube. Do this and the bike is transformed, hills become much easier and top speed will certainly be over 40 mph. If only Sym did this as standard. The looks, the build quality, the reliability factor the CDI unit needs to be replaced at once.
