Worst heating due to failures all the time – This product was recommend as efficient, effective and best on market for money. Only 3 years old and in first month had to have service man out to repair motor, power goes off you have to reprogram the whole thing again and not easy to use. At least once a month over the winter months we have to reboot the unit as it fails to start. Previous unit… Read more

not this brand 17 years old and never once let us down. Sick of having to pay service people. Be ware and check out all products and reviews do not just listen to sales people.

Shocking - Nothing but problems - no wonder its been discontinued !!!! – Problems from day one. Installation and unit issues from day one. Installer condescending! Service terrible. I gave up after nothing but problems for 2years. Every winter it’s frustrating. Tonight is apparently 29 degrees in the house apparently!!!! ( we are sitting with blankets and jumpers on) To get the remote to change temperature we have… Read more

to place outside for the unit to come back on. Paid extra for dampers/ zoning have never worked. !!! Absolutely terrible. Will never recommend a Bonaire.

It often breaks down – I bought the 5 star ducted gas central heater on the 3rd April, 2012. It always stopped without any reason. I have to turn off the heater for one day, give it a rest; then turn it on again to get the Heater going. It is not the ideal Heater. Also, every year I have to hire a Technician for service; otherwise, the Heater just does not work. Show details

Good enough – It warms well enough for its age. Have had no trouble I. All the years we have used it. Cannot fault it or the cost originally. Good overall heating unit have used Bonaire products in the past and will still do so. . . . . . . . . . .. . .  Show details

Heap of crap – Was installed and not tested by installer. Went to use did not work. Was not working from the day of installation. AGL would not replace the unit but got a serviceman to repair. A faulty component was replaced. Will see what happens when we go to use hopefully it goes ok. In my opinion we were over charged for this heater by AGL so pays to look… Read more

around for a good price. I believe installation was very poor and it should have been checked before they left. Not happy at all.

June 18th 2017 Update: Absolute rubbish

Broken down four times in three and a half months and still not fixed. Bonaire will not replace. Not happy at all. Would not recommend a Bonaire Rhino 20 and would check out other models. Have been without a heater through the cold winter months for most of the last three and a half months.

After 2 years – I've had this ducted heater for two years, and have had no problems with it so far. The zoning works very well. The only criticism I have is the outside unit is too noisy. The noise comes from the flue, it seems to be designed to make the noise, like a whistling kettle. Unnecessary. Update.............. The heater stopped working… Read more

recently. It took a week for a repairman to attend, peak winter period so probably understandable. The unit was still under warranty so no cost to repair.

The good news is the noise mentioned above has now mostly disappeared. Apparently the part that broke was causing the noise, so it was probably faulty from new.

I'll have to upgrade my assessment of the unit, since repair it is quiet too so I'm very happy with it now.

Worse quality with 5 star energy rating – From builder i got a bonaire MB5 heating. paid extra for the %star rating. called service men two times because of poor heating performance. can't even feel heat under the outlet. no pressure for fan. within one week broke for over heating error. poor poor quality.... August 3rd 2017 Update: Don't go for bonair I got a mb5 installed by the… Read more

builder. Builder told that the 5 star system will give you saving on energy cost. Practcally nothing. Now 3 years passed other than few break down nothing else. The fan is low powerful to give you better heating and the return air suction in roof leaves the bottom area as cool as outside. The heater broken in one week after we move in. Now broke again. And after a week wait for the technician, got a reply that they don't have spare parts and I have to wait until it is manufactured again. Poor customer care....
