Disappointed I bought this! – I thought Boori would sell a decent highchair as they are usually quite good. The maiden looked beautiful but it is SO impractical and is actually very dangerous! I'm in the process of trying to find a universal highchair liner with straps as the strapping belt provided is probably the worst on the market!! This harness could not possibly meet Australian safety standards, surely!

Beautiful to look at, but very impractical – I wouldn't bother with actually buying one of these - the babies slide around, and can't sit up in it, without falling through. Very pretty wooden high chair If a baby can't sit up by itself, they will just slip & slide around it. You need to clean spills as soon as they happen. Lots of gaps. If you don't clean straight away, they can strip the stain right off the wood.

Good – Very beautiful, but tricky to clean properly. Easy to wipe down but heavy & may scratch floors. I'm fairly impractical so I'd always buy this type of high chair as I hate the plastic ones. It blends in with my furniture & people actually comment on how nice a piece it is. That makes it a winner. But if you want one that's perfectly easy to clean everywhere, try the cheap Ikea ones. It is a beautful piece of furniture that blends into your home instead of looking like a horrible plastic eyesore. Sturdy, has not scratched. Can easily fit a small baby in as long as you have an insert for them. There are no tricky plastic fittings where bits can hide so it's quick to wipe down. Very difficult to clean in between the tray & the sides. And I think you'd have to unscrew it to properly clean between the seat. I just get a knife covered in soft fabric in there & push it out. Rather heavy so may scratch timber floors.

Bad – I was sucked in by the beautiful design. I suspect I'll appreciate it more as my baby gets older and can sit more easily in it. It does look like it has potential as a toddler seat with the tray removed. It's beautiful and easy to clean. It won't wear out. It's far too upright and slippery for a little baby. My seven month old slips around in it and flops over - it would suit a much older baby who sits well. Also, the strap is USELESS. For such a high quality chair the strap is a joke, an afterthought to comply with safety standards I suspect. It doesn't fit well, it's fiddly to do up and ties the baby to the chair rather than acting as a harness or support.
