Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this highchair and would highly recommend it to other parents. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars if I could!
Would recommend – Stylish colour choices that fit in with our dining area, silicone cover is super handy and can be put in the dishwasher for convenience. crossbar, which is the perfect place for food to get smooshed. It would have been so easy for the designers to make this a continuous smooth lip which would be easier to clean instead of this giant v-groove running the whole way along the chair, which means I have to frequently unclip and remove the whole tray to clean it rather than a quick wipe down. Also this might be a nit-picky gripe but considering it's called 'hilo', as in, high and low, I was disappointed to see the legs sold separately. All in all a good but pricey high chair, but if you're on a budget go for a cheap high chair with a cushion insert which will do just as a good a job...and will probably be easier to clean!

anything he doesn’t like about this chair, as I honestly can’t think of any. He said, there has been one time where our young man (13 months) has popped off the tray himself, which isn’t really a problem.
Overall, I’m really happy with the chair. It’s easy to clean. Food doesn’t get stuck under the insert/chair cover (we have both and rotate them when washing - highly recommend!).
Actually, just thought of one thing, the gray chair cover does sometimes get in the way of the clips, so maybe doesn’t fit the chair perfectly, no biggie (or could be user error too!). The insert and chair covers wash beautifully (cold wash!), they’re easy to put on once you watch a demonstration that I found on YouTube.
The straps are machine washable and come off so easy! Hubby put the chair together, no issues. The tray doesn’t stain permanently, we’ve had red sauce on it many times, it may take a wash or two though. But just looked at it now and there’s no permanent stains.
I put a lot of thought into buying this high chair and found the reviews on this page were helpful and trustworthy. It was a gift from my Dad, who is unwell and I wanted it to be something that will stand the rest of time (for all of our babies, whether we have one or two more). I hope this review helps someone.
Oh one last thing, it did take a few months for our little guy to grow into the footrest (on the highest setting), as he’s on the shorter side, but wasn’t a big deal or worry for us.

namely the foot rest. My daughter is an average height at 15 months old and is still unable to reach the foot rest with her feet. It is so important for children's bodies to be supported while learning to eat, including their feet as they help with balance and keeping their trunk upright when their muscles are still getting used to supporting them in a seated position. For the foot rest to be so low and have no capacity for adjustment makes it almost a completely redundant feature. In our case, by the time my daughter's feet reach firmly on the footrest she will be well and truly not in need of it anymore. I also think the silicone tray insert is a redundant option for several reasons. It doesn't stick down to the highchair tray so most plates and bowls with suction bases will just pull the cover off if your little one is into chucking plates. If I use the silicone mat my daughter will just pull it off now she knows it's not attached. It doesn't make cleaning easier, since food more often than not goes will beyond the perimeter of the silicone mat and just seeps underneath which makes for additional cleaning, not less. If it had suction cups on the bottom I could see it being useful as plates and bowls wouldn't slide around as easily as they do on the tray. But other than that I am not a fan and would have preferred not to spend the money on that addition. I think for the money, there are definitely other, more ergonomic highchairs with better foot support for babies available out there.

It doesn't have heaps of nooks and crannies where food can get stuck. It looks really nice. This high chair is perfect for our 1 year old. He started to climb and stand up in his previous chair, however with the secure straps and comfort of the HILO chair, he now loves meal time and has coincided with better eating. We've been using our HILO2 for over 8 months now. We (incl my son) are loving it so far. Very stable base, easy to clean and very stylish - it fits with the rest of our furniture very well. We didn't end up using the silicone matt as much. We found food got under it so it ended up being an extra thing to clean.

Aesthetically pleasing chair, but it’s so deep I have only just been able to start using it without a towel to support my baby, he’s a big 9 month old. And something I don’t understand is why the tray doesn’t have the material to stick plates and bowls.. so you have to hand feed, unless you want your baby to just throw the plate everywhere. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

the time of purchase the cushion supports were out of stock so I had hoped I could prop bub with towels in the short term but didn't realise I would need to be propping him for so long. In comparison he sits comfortably with no support in the cheap kmart chair.
Disappointed – The chair is aesthetically pleasing and easy to assemble however it is wobbly and the tray is difficult to remove. Love the read baby HILO 2 highchair, it’s stylish and practical. The fabric cushion insert is also great for when bubs is still a bit smaller so would definitely recommend purchasing this with it. My daughter is about to turn one and we are still using it. It comes with 2 modular pieces that can be removed as they get bigger. All the materials are easy to clean, but I would like it better if the straps were in a darker colour, such as grey, so they could look cleaner with food stains that are hard to remove. I'm also not sure about the chair durability hence giving 4 stars. The chair seems to be strong though, so hopefully it will last long until my baby outgrows it.
Haven't used it yet for our little one but our nieces have loved it every time they come over. The clean design and colour choices meant it fit into our house beautifully. We love our Hilo highchair it’s been used multiple times a day for over two years and still looking amazing. Will definitely be purchasing the Hilo bouncer if we have another baby!
Great high chair. Reasonably compact so doesn’t take up too much space yet fits child well. Tray detaches to easily wash and not too many grooves for food to get stuck in the actual chair which is a huge plus for me. We have bought this chair for our little one for it being versatile and comfortable. With the extras like the cushion inserts, it made the chair even more comfortable for my child. She started using it at 6 months and now has been passed on to my nephew who is currently enjoying the high chair. Another good point is it looks aesthetic and it suits in our house well! Stylish, sturdy high chair. I recommend purchasing with the cushion insert, as the high chair seat is quite large for my baby to sit in without it. There are no other high chair cushions on the market that are compatible with this high chair. It is easy to put together, and easy to remove the tray and straps for cleaning.
