Handles everything – Look, I'll be honest, when it comes to DIY I get mixed results. One thing that I never do is skimp on the tools that I buy. There are a few reputable brands around that sell good cordless drills, but you pay a lot for them. Which is why I was surprised when I was researching cordless drills for my next lot of DIY projects and kept seeing the Bosch AdvancedImpact 18 mentioned.

It might seem silly to get excited about a cordless drill, but the AdvancedImpact 18 has exceeded my expectations. I've drilled into masonry, into plaster walls, even some steel. This drill has a lot of power, more than you would expect at this price point.

It has three modes; screw, drill and hammer. The kind of modes you would expect from most drills. Where things get interesting is the chuck. You can pull it off and replace it with other chuck adapters they sell. I also bought the angled chuck for screwing on angles which has saved me a couple of times now with flatpack furniture.

I highly recommend this drill. It's easily one of the best drills I have ever owned.
