Outstanding Dishwasher, very quiet and so efficient. Glasses come out sparkling clean and and this is on a 29 minute cycle. No scraping of dishes but just a quick rinse before use. This is also a very water efficient machine and we could not be happier. Highly recommend the Bosch Series 6.

Replaced a 12 year old bosch with another one. This one was way quieter and you hardly know its working . It cleans and dries very well and is highly recommended

Has ample stacking features and can lay some down to allow for bigger items to be washed. Very water efficient, multiple programmes and so quiet. Gets all of my dishes clean but I do rinse them of food before I put into the dishwasher. Have not yet tried heavily baked on food trays. Glassware comes out streak free and smelling fresh. I am using Finish gel tabs and rinse aid with no residue left in tab slot after each wash.

This machine is perfect! Made life easier, 10 years and still going!
Since we had this almost 10 years ago, my life became easier. Never had problems, and cleans well even a quick wash for 30 mins. Easy to use and accommodates plates, bowls and pots and pans. I always scrape the food before running then magic finish!

Reliable and well made
We are satisfied with the performance so far, whether it will continue to perform well in a few years, I can not say, however at the moment it dries well, quiet and efficient and is well made.
Bosch has got better than 10 years ago
We previously had a Bosch Dishwasher that lasted just on 10 years and we decided not to repair it. We looked around extensively at all makes but still came up with purchasing a 6 series dishwasher. Got quick delivery from The Good Guys, and I hooked it up myself since its so easy to connect and disconnect when you have existing connections.
Something i learned which amazed me - a phone call I made to Bosch revealed that if you clean your plates before you put them inside the dishwasher, then the sensor can't see if they are dirty and attempts ...to apply a wash cycle accordingly, so leave them alone! Didn't think it was that sophisticated to tell. Anyhow, my wife wasn't happy with the previous series 6 not washing items properly which she thinks is due to too little water being used. With this unit for the last 3 months since purchasing, we always use the Super Wash + extra dry option with every load so its 2 hrs 25 mins, BUT everything comes out super clean. All our previous washes with heigene option added were 2hrs 15mins, so no change really to what we were used to. We have always loved the cutlery drawer which is a must when we look for a dishwasher as we are so used to it. With this design machine, I can tell its about 75-100mm at least lower as im reaching down to the cutlery drawer a bit more, but its no big bother at all, just something I noticed. We fit drinking glasses that are quite tall (14cm) in the drawer so we do not see any issues with glassware or cookware, infact this design seems to fit better than previous. We never have to adjust the height of the drawers, so everything runs like clockwork and we never have to chop and change positions of the drawers. The machine is even quieter than before, so yet another positive improvement. You can barely tell the machine is on if it wasn't for the lights on on the control panel.

I just ... LOVE IT!!!
So clean, so quite! No scraping, just rinsing a bit.
I really want to work out the 29mins cycle (it turns to 44) , but for the rest, i just switch the auto and thats it.
Comparing to my old, cheap and basic dishwasher, that was basically just storing the dishes that i had to wash again after taking out, the bosch one is incredible. Its actually does the freaking job!!! Love it! Hope it will last :)

best dishwasher i have had.
this dishwasher is absolutely the best. i dont have to rinse anything prior to running the dishwasher. the cycle for longer drying means plastic containers cone out dry. it is quiet and very efficient. the slide out cutlery rack at the top is an excellent innovation.

I convinced my husband to pay almost double to get a Bosch because it was German made. We used the machine not more than 20 times in the 5 years we had it (evidence in the number of tablets I still had in the box of 100 Finish tablets) and it broke down the first time last year. The technician came out and was mentioned that the part he had to replace was faulty and not due to cockroaches chewing on the wires. In March 2021, less than 8 months after his visit in and taking on his advice to use the dishwasher every week, I now have an "E-0" e...rror which after some research is most likely a heating element failure and the part itself is valued at $180+ (I haven't added labour costs yet!). If I added up the amount I would have had to spend on repairs, I could have bought two Omega/Delonghi/etc dishwashers in the same size. Clearly disappointed at the fact that I paid extra for a "Made in Germany" dishwasher that is a lemon.

Terrible do not buy
If I could I would exchange for a different dishwasher. Have had the service person visit twice and the outcome is that we should only use the 60 minute cycle. The dishes come out dirty on both auto (2hour+) cycles. And sometimes come out dirty on 60 minutes. Obviously haven’t bothered with the 29 minute cycle. For the money I would not recommend. Our Fisher and Paykel was superior and I thought I was getting an upgrade with the Bosch. Unfortunately not.

Thought it would actually wash dishes
Looked at reviews before replacing a 10 year old LG. Performance is pretty hit and miss sometimes it cleans and dries really well, other times everything needs re-washing with food dried on cutlery and crockery or a really ‘greasy’ look on the dishes. I expected better from a ‘premium’ Made in Germany model. Wouldn’t get another Bosch as it’s nowhere near as good as the LG was.

All the 5 star comments are correct but what they don't tell you is it doesn't beep at the end of any cycle and it doesn't have a Pause button. It is the best dishwasher I have ever bought by a long way. But it doesn't beep when the cycle is finished, it only flashes "000" a few times. For a pretty expensive machine I would have expected at least to have the option of having it beep when finished. So many times I have been on my way to bed and only then remembered that it needed unloading when I could have done it half an hour beforehand. Nothi...ng in the manual about it either. Through trial and error I found that if you press the stop button you can pause the cycle for long enough to add a few items and when you hit the start button again it remembers where it was up to.

Not a good start for a machine Made in Germany.
We bought a Bosch series 6 from Harvey Norman two weeks ago. After using the machine delayed start option for the first time we realised that dishes and cutlery were greasy, a poll of water was on the bottom of the appliance and an error was showing up on the display (E-24)
Waiting on a technician to come and check the appliance.

Bought from binglee, fast shipping with small delivery fee. Only have small issue with water connection when it equipped with solenoid valve so you need drill a big hole for installation.

Poor warranty & poor Customer Support.
Bought Bosch dishwasher from Harvey Norman Bundall to replace Miele dishwasher.
Poor quality stainless steel dishwasher made in Germany, the door started to rust in just over 6 months.
Poor customer support, after two months of complaints and the case manager said is a tea -staining not covered by under manufacturing fault. Very disappointed to pay a higher price for made in GERMANY but is not as good as made in China.

Questions & Answers
Are you able to remove the top of this dishwasher so it can fit under a benchtop
This morning we took delivery of the Series 6 dishwasher SMP66MX01A.
Why is the 'Quick 29min' cycle taking 44mins and why is the 'Quick 60min' cycle taking 1:15 please?
The rinse aid drawer is full/overflowing with Finish Rinse Aid.
Hi LME, Thanks for your question.
Rinse aid is required for the quick wash to operate within 29 minutes. If it is not used, the dishwasher will recognise that a 3-in-1 tablet is being used without rinse aid and the program duration will change to 44 minutes. This is because a 3-in-1 tablet will not fully dissolve within 29 minutes and so would result in sub-optimal wash results. However seeing as you have advised you have rinse aid in the appliance, we would recommend you call our service tam on 1300 369 744 (select option, and be sure to mention your model number). We can then run through some possible trouble shooing with you, and determine if a service may be required. Kind regards Bosch Home Australia.
