My Bosch optiflow 26 Professional stopped producing hot water and repeated attempts at turning on and off have been unsuccessful. I wish to know what the current extended warranty period is? Really frustrating with no hot water and 2 kids in Melbourne.

We have a Bosch optiflow professional. Last night we had a 6 hour electrical power outage. Our gas water heater now does work. I've tried to reset by turning off and waiting up to 5 minutes. Machine reboots but still no hot water. Any thoughts?

Bosh opit flow 26 hot water system all taps are off I go out side and the water system sounds like it's on the same sound it makes when you turn hot water on so I turn the power off then on and the water system ignites like IAM turning on the hot water

Hi Colin I am pretty sure that's normal. They have a sequence in them to purge the gas by blowing it out after a power loss. Mine is right outside the kitchen and I can hear it easily most of the time. It starts randomly sometimes without the hot water tap being turned on. I think it is normal. When I run out of gas, it also runs, so you might like to check that.

I have a Bosch Optiflow gwh26 since 2019,ever since then constant resettling! Last year July your technician came said it's a known problem due to faulty circuit board. He replaced it and now few days ago broke down again. Lodged for urgent fix due to having 3 young kids, Bosch support said will take 2 days to respond my issue!!! Come on, it's cold and my kids can only wash their feet! What do I need to do to get it fixed permanently???

I have the similar unit with the same problem. My solution, which seems to have worked so far is to put a timer on the power point that runs the unit. It is set to turn off for 10 minutes every night at 3am. this reboots the system whether it needs it or not.

Hi John, Thank you for your advice. Very kind of you to respond. I have just tried to leave off for 30 minutes and restart, no luck. How long you have the unit may I ask? Definitely faulty circuit board. I will replace it with another brand DUX, heard lots of good reviews about it.

I currently temporary solution, use a water boiler. :(

Just a follow up John. Bosch came and fixed our problem by replacing the circuit board. Technician said could be caused by power surge as they received lots of these issues lately, maybe storm caused it. But could be heater people using due to cold.

You and the technician gave me ideas, just buy a surge protection adapter and should solve the problem. Bosch should fix their circuit with surge protection and should solve all their issues!

I have a an OPtiflow GWH 20 it is flashing CS or C5 and this code is not in the manual.Also the unit is not working as normal heats up really quickly then turns down not totally off then randomly heats and cools.Have reset it work fine for about 30secs then faults.

Hi, I have a Bosch Optiflow 20 and at odd times it stops working (hot water doesn't get to our taps or in the bathroom). It happens quite regularly and so far switching the power supply switch on and off few times triggers the system to wake up and heat water so we then get hot water. This will be something that any manufacturer doesn't disclose only manage. But ypu can see from customers for this unit can fail in 2months to 2yrs service.

Bosch was good in responding, changed its faulty PC Board but did charge call out fee as the warranty expired.

does the Bosch Optiflow Professional need flushing or filters anywhere in it that need cleaning? Our heater has continual temp changes.

It's best to call Bosch there is so many issues with these models they had to extend the warranty

I thought that might be the response. We've changed our pressure pump to a jet system and thought that might help, but it's made no difference. Thanks for the response.

Hi there,

I have a Bosch Optiflow 20 and it has continually made intermittent wailing noises when the hot water is turned on.

It is most noticeable when the hot water is used after not being used for a few hours. I am on 2 x 45kg gas tanks on an auto regulator setup.

I've had several call outs and the problem has not been fixed.

We have a Optiflow 12 professional. We're offgrid. After changing the gas bottle we've had no hot water for the last week. When generator is started and you open the hot water tap, the unit switches on and the fan runs for 10 seconds and then just switches off. I've purged the line, check the waterlines for clogs, checked the gas lines and couplings. No joy. Any ideas?

Call Bosch in your capital city & get them out, l called them last Monday & they sent someone out & they repaired at no charge there has been many faults with this hot water system so Bosch have extended the warranty as they are well aware this unit is a complete failure....the service guy replaced a circuit board & valve that was sticking the way he repaired our system seemed to be common practice with this system he went straight in & did the work it was like he knew what had to be done without checking.

Unit has power and gas to it and has been working for the last 2+ years. We had a circuit in our house trip a few times due to a faulty appliance. Once I found the issue and removed it the circuit is fine but now the gas hot water won’t ignite. You can hear it trying to and the fan/exhaust kick in but no heat. Internal fuse is still ok.
