Bosch PSR 10,8 LI / LI-2

Ideal handyman drill / driver – I've had mine now for a few years. Was a bit worried about the low voltage (10.8 v) but have had no trouble at all. Feels very good and well made and with 2 batteries there is no problem.

Great compact drill/driver – A well designed, compact driver/drill with smooth powerful gearing. I chose this model in favour of units which had replaceable batteries due to the compact size. My thought is that what is the point of a "compact" rechargeable driver/drill if the unit has a huge battery pack hanging off the end that doesn't let you get into some tight places that you need to and ergonomically doesn't work well with the unbalanced weight. Try fixing a bunch of curtain rails up high with one of the bulkier portable drills - it doesn't work so well, but this unit works a treat.

This unit does not have a replaceable battery, but I understand that there is a similar model (PSR 10,8 LI-2) which does have a replaceable battery. The battery is lithium ion which holds great charge. I would have probably bought the SR 10,8 LI-2 if it was available at the time - but depends on the cost.

If you need a high power professional drill with multiple batteries, that is a different need and will cost you more. This unit has great torque to do all the handyman jobs you need around the house and has a solid build quality. Recommended. Compact, quality unit and smooth performance No replaceable battery
