Bought 2 of these at the same time thinking they would be good. Nothing but trouble, both control panels died. Show details

I’m currently on my third Bosch dishwasher in about 14–15 years—all German-made models. The first one lasted around 8 years, the second about 5, and now the third is already showing issues not long after the 2-year warranty has expired, in its third year of use. It’s started throwing error codes, and while I’ve been able to reset it a couple of… Read more

times, it only works temporarily before failing again.

I’ve followed all the recommended maintenance and cleaning guidelines, so it’s incredibly frustrating to see these ongoing issues. Investing in what’s marketed as a high-quality appliance no longer seems worth it. At this point, I might as well buy a cheaper model for a few hundred dollars and replace it every few years.

I have been a big time Bosch appliance fan. I have many Bosch appliances at my place and where available I always bought the German made items. But this has been another disappointing experience for me recently. Last year my Bosch washing machine died just after four years life, and this time the dishwasher after three years. This time around I will be looking for another brand, no more Bosches ever. Very disappointed!!! Show details

Good dishwasher – Good dishwasher with most dishes washed to a high standard. However at end of full cycle light 3 remains on due to low water pressure.

Very disappointed with this newly purchased product – I've never left any reviews for any products before. But everytime when I used my new dishwasher I wanted so much to give you feedback on its performance. 1. difficult to stack mid-size bowls. I have a kid. The way the racks designed makes it very hard to put many bowls and larger plates in. And because the racks are short, every bowl will fall… Read more

down instead of tilting.

2. everything is sooooo wet after the cycle completes. This is totally not what I would expect when I bought it. I had such high expectation for Bosch products. I had an old one "SMS50E12AU" which I used for more than 10 years. It was working so well and everything was dry when the cycle finished. And the normal cycle was not as long as this new machine. I had to replace it because the old one was causing tripped fuse after every cycle.

3. The cutlery at the top shelf is useless. Everything is so wet. I have to take them out to get them dry. And the design was really back, it's hard to get everything out from the cutlery tray. I had to buy a universal cutlery basket so I can take them out and get them dried up quicker.

4. There's no indication when the cycle finishes. I keep forgetting to open it up so they will dry up. The old dishwasher had the indication, and everything was dry when I open it anyway. With this one, if I forget to take them out, they will not even get dry the next day, esp if you have wooden chopsticks.

5. It seems it's cycling dirty water in the dishwasher. If I put in a cup which had milk in it, everything will be smelling of milk when the cycle is completed. (I use the Auto Cycle). If I put the rangehood filter in it, everything will be smelling of oil when it finishes the cycle. The cycle takes a long time, it says it's energy saver, I am not sure somehow the dirty water is being saved in there?

These issues are not expected with Bosch which has so many years of experience in making the product. I wish I could buy something else. But I can't afford to buy another one now.

I am leaving feedback hoping your technical department can see it and improve the design. I read some reviews before I bought this dishwasher. Many people mentioned everything is very wet. I didn't believe because I had my old one which was working so well, all plates are very dry when I opened the door. Now I want to write reviews to warn others as well.

Now I wonder whether the drying function actually works or not working.

I've tried Extra Dry feature as well. And they aren't dry when the cycle completes.

Great Dishwasher Bosch series 6 SMS6HCW01A – This is my second Bosch Dishwasher which was a replacement for my previous Bosch which lasted for 13 years of trouble free use. It is very quiet & easy to use. It washes the dishes, saucepans and crockery very well. Some of the larger cups can have water pooling on top if they aren't placed at an angle as suggested. It dries the contents very… Read more

well & turns itself off when finished. I scrape or rinse the dishes etc before placing in the machine because I never experienced clogging in my old machine. The shelves can easily be removed to place tall items in the machine. Small objects can be placed safely in the cutlery basket, and cutlery placed on the top shelf.

Value for the money – Loved this dishwasher, easy to use and work quietly and its internal has lots of spaces for items. It was a good purchase. There are also many functions to chose, highly recommended to everyone.  Show details
