Bought the 10kg bosh series 6 from Harvey Norman , not even 12 hours of having it it is making obnoxiously loud banging when washing and spin cycle. Couldn't fit a queen size blanket at all thick or thin despite claiming to be 10kg load capacity couldn't spin dry the blanket at all and didn't even fully wet the blanket , second load was a donoa… Read more

cover a sheet and pillow cases , the pillow case that came out even more dirty than when it went in. DO NOT believe the reviews on sites like Harvey Norman or good guys they have mainly only good review that don't tell you the issues of this product , buy another brand and not this load of crap.

After ordering my Bosch Series 6 10 kg it was delivered on 8th April 2025. The guys who delivered it, were courtesy and very obliging. My old machine was a Bosch and lasted 10 years, another reason for my decision in purchasing another Bosch machine. I wasn’t able to do my first wash until the Thursday. I was about to put in my sheets, but… Read more

decided to check the drum. Just as well, the drum had a fine oil on it and also black marks, not something I expected from Bosch. I also noticed the drum on the new machine does not compare to my old drum. It seems inferior quality and it doesn’t shine like my old machine. My old machine was German made and the new one Chinese. Say no more! I run the machine, hoping this would clean the drum, but we know water and oil don’t mix. On the next inspection, I could feel the fine oil and was not happy at all and rang Appliance Online. I was told by [Name Removed], this happens all the time and he gets many calls like this every day after delivery, and it wasn’t oil. I told him, I know the smell of oil. Plus, I ran a paper towel around in the drum and still got black marks. [Name Removed] also told me to run the machine empty about three times then it should be alright. We are never told this in the purchasing phase. I am not sure about you, but being a pensioner, and in an area where water is expensive, I told him I wasn’t going to do that. I asked if there was quality control as this wasn’t acceptable. [Name Removed] replied, Bosch runs every machine once before it leaves the factory. I think they would do better to give the drum a good wipe as well. I ran the machine with things that did not matter, dog bed, sheets etc. After 3 loads, no marks on the fabrics, but still a smell of oil. According to the appliance age finder, this machine was made in December 2007, 18 years old before I purchased it. We will see how I like it in a month’s times. Why can’t we make products in Australia again, we have done ourselves a disservice.

Excellent wash yet so gentle on clothes – After two failed top loaders within as many months I purchased this Washer. Absolutely fantastic. So easy to use, in fact instructions barely needed! It's not all digital and the dial is a great feature. It shows the weight of the load and you can stop it when you realise you left something out, also very quiet. Highly recommend. Show details

The door seal is poor quality made – I bought this washing machine 2.5 years ago from the good guys, it was all good until last week, it suddenly leaking water , and I just found the black door seal part has a chipped, I didn't know how it happened, and I only use this washing machine to wash normal household clothes and baby clothes. When I contacted the good guys gold service,… Read more

they said the door seal is wear and tear, isn't in the warranty, and they can't do anything for me, I am so upset, that Bosch made this poor quality of the door seal. I have the other old front load Samsung washing machine at back verandah for washing my husband's working clothes, it doesn't has this door seal problems. This bosch series 6 washing machine cost me over 1k, and only use 2.5 years the door seal is chipped , and the warranty isn't cover for it. But it's not the normal thing for the door seal chipped itself. I feel the quality is poor made, and now I don't know what to do with it. :(

Failed after 26 months – This machine was great until the motherboard failed just outside of the warranty period. It no longer recognises when the water has drained and locks at the end of every cycle. I have to switch it off, wait 30 minutes and then run a spin cycle to get the washing out, every time. Now I either need to spend big on a new motherboard or replace the whole thing. Show details

Only 10 kg if you wash cotton clothes only – I purchased my machine from Harvey Norman. The salesman didn’t advise about anything didn’t say anything about any of the washing machine at all. I had a different brand and I had two of them and this time I decided to try a front loader and a different brand. I really regret my decision. I wish I had stayed with the devil I knew and not changed.… Read more

The only way this machine is 10kg and this is from Bosch themselves is if you put only COTTON clothes in then it is a 10 kg machine. Suitable for a couple only no children. We are a family and this is the worst machine I have ever brought. It is only a 5 kg of mixed clothing. Jeans jumpers etc are not even included in the manual description of what can go in this machine. Extremely miss represented by all Accounts. I will never buy another Bosch product as the way they describe their products I don’t know how they have not been sued. False advertising at the highest. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE UNLESS you are a PROFESSIONAL COUPLE WHO GET MOST OF THE CLOTHING DRY CLEANED. Once again that is what Bosch told us when we rang to query why this machine only registers at 5kg of clothes. My job of washing has now doubled as This machine is mainly a 5 kg machine. It washes ok I think compared to my other machine I just wish it was a “true” 10kg.

Very disappointed with this purchase – My old top loader died after being fabulous for 18 years and it was recommended I replace it with a front loader so here I am, 2 weeks later, having to do two loads in my new 10kg where I was doing 1 in my old 8kg. Yes the clothes are clean but that's its job. The spin cycle is pretty hopeless so it takes longer for the clothes to dry. Having to… Read more

leave the door and drawer open is annoying also. I regret buying this machine as I'll have to put up with it until it dies. I've tried to like it but to be honest, I hate it.

Certainly not as good as our last Bosch – So it washes the clothes, and quite well, BUT it has a lot of issues with the spin cycle, like it can't balance it. About once every fortnight, I'll go to open a finished wash, and the clothes will be very wet still. This machine also RARELY manages to complete a full towels/sheet load without complaining. So then I have to move them around or… Read more

take some out, and put it on spin again, and it's fine (and then of course I have to rinse/spin the items I took out...). It's annoying how this 10kg machine can't manage to balance the clothes. This machine seems very fussy about spinning. I put as many clothes in this one as our previous 7.5kg machine (i.e. I overloaded our previous one, which still lasted almost 8 years!) and yet this 10kg one struggles more. I don't know why we wasted money on a 10kg machine when it honestly only seems able to wash 7.5kg! And that's ONLY when it's not towels/bedsheets. We've also gone to great lengths to level out the feet. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS WASHING MACHINE IF YOU HAVE A WOODEN FLOOR. If you've got a concrete slab, sure, but for a bouncy wooden floor - forget it. Buy a top loader. We're about to buy a chipboard base and then put rubber on it in the hope that it may settle out the machine more. Who knows if that will fix the 'balancing' & 'bouncing' problems...

It also seems more cheaply made, and I am expecting something to break at some point soon, even if it's just a bit of plastic. It's just not as good as previous Bosch products we've had. Initially I didn't like all the electronic buttons, but I've gotten used to them. I prefer dials that you can move with wet hands. Touch buttons don't work so well with wet hands in my opinion, but I have been pleasantly surprised here. However, ask me in a few years' time and I'll let you know if those buttons still work with wet fingers... Every second time I turn off the child lock after the machine has gone to sleep, the machine counts down from 3, but then doesn't unlock it, so I have to do it twice. I'm guessing it's an IT glitch that won't be getting fixed. The different stain functions work well. Sure, the washing machine takes 4+ hours to do a wash where you've got blood on your clothes (recently got to check that one out again because daughter got bitten by a leech last week, eek!), BUT it comes out clean!!! We have active kids who get all sorts of Everything all over their clothes, and aside from acrylic paint and a seemingly special type of staining mud, it comes off in this machine. I am impressed with how CLEAN things come out of this machine. That part is actually better than our previous Bosch model. It's quiet - except for the spinning sometimes. Compared to our last one that whined and almost rattled away at the end of its life, this one is very quiet! But it still feels cheaply made - and I think this model was made in Germany, not China, like our last model! Just goes to show you - just because something is 'European' doesn't mean it's better.

Failed in 3 months – Edit: 25/03 - still no resolution from Bosch, repair has occurred for 2 items on the machine and the problem is still present. No offer has been made to exchange the washing machine or compensation in any way. This machine was purchased in Nov 2021. The below response is generic for the public from Bosch.
