Bye bye bosch – Our older Bosch lasted over 14 years, this new serie 6 has been a pain after a few months. It started with not washing properly, then not draining properly, then tablets not being dissolved, then being stuck in machine care mode, then not drying anything, then being stuck in error mode, then back to not draining properly, then......well I think you can see the pattern. Bosch you've lost us as this things #######g hopeless. Show details
Quiet Cleans and Dry's – Could not be happier with this dishwasher, it cleans very effectively and is very quiet when compared to our previous dishwasher. The drying cycle is fantastic, it is only some plastic containers that generally are not fully dry. My previous dishwasher was an omega, and this one is significantly improved in all aspects over that one, but when… Read more
comparing to other peoples dishwasher's we find this one seems to outperform other brands. I am not sure what the series 8 would have over this dishwasher that would warrant purchasing the top of the range.
It's very quiet, but tricky to program – This is my 3rd Bosch, 1st in house when bought, second purchased 10 yrs ago and recently could not be repaired by Bosch (3 times!). This model was delivered a couple of months ago, it is super quiet and looks good, does a pretty reasonable job of washing, not great! There is always a lot of water still on the dishes at completion even with the… Read more
use of rinse aid. I find the re-set operation tricky and frustrating....I seem unable to get it to 'forget' and 're-set'...the instructions are brief. Additional functions, are they another stand alone short program or something to add to the other longer, regular programs and how do you know they are engaged?? I have tried to use Extra Dry but not even sure if I did, or simply that it is useless and made no difference to the water retention on contents. I don't use my dishwashers a lot, so I guess I can live with it, if you entertain, you need a dishwasher! We purchased direct from Bosch.
Excellent Dishwasher – Easy to install, this is my second Bosch dishwasher, both the series 6 & series 8 which I had in my previous house have a variety of programs for all cleaning requirements. The space available in the series 6 is amazing with fold up/down wire restrainers for plates/cups etc. I had a teapot with a stainless strainer that was badly discoloured but… Read more
one sensor clean wash brought this up like new. I especially like the red light on the floor as a operating indication is perfect as opening a dishwasher when going is no fun. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a reliable, good value dishwasher. Richard.
Excellent under bench dishwasher – This is a high quality Bosch product. The dishwasher is quiet, it is efficient in removing both light and heavily grimed build up on items, it also cleans glasses without streaking or leaving them anything other than transparent. Easy to pack and you can fit plenty of dishes/cutlery etc in. Highly recommend. Show details
Have had for two months and has exceeded expectations – Researched dishwashers for a long time and was tossing up between this one and an Asko. Decided i could either buy top-of-the-line Bosch or bottom of the range Asko so went with the Bosch. The Asko looked to simple and old school. I have been so far so happy with the Bosch. I use all the different functions and wash cycles including half load,… Read more · 1
extra dry, hygiene, fast wash and eco wash. The dishwasher comes with a cutlery tray as well as a basket, so you can pull out, put in which ever you want ant any particular time.
I am surprised at how well it has cleaned some things. Last week i put a long skinny bottle that had red wine vinegar stains in the bottom and it came out crystal clear.
If anything changes, i will let you know, but for now, i am very happy with this purchase.
One thing i will say is it took my dad and i better part of a day to install, so unless you have skills in this area, i would recommend just paying for professionals to do it.
Love this product – I had a Bosch previous and loved its quietness and work ethic; the only issue was resting on it and turning it on or off. I really wanted one that had its control panel on the inside - and this one does. It still works like a Trojan, is whisper quiet (literally thank goodness for the red light on the floor) and looks great semi integrated into my new kitchen. Show details · 1
Early Days' Review – Don't you hate it when you move into a newly bought home and the dishwasher dies almost immediately? The LG lasted just long enough for us to re-install it into the newly renovated kitchen. While annoyed at the additional expense, it wasn't a good washer and we were glad to be rid of it. Limited budget given the above, I read reviews to rule out… Read more · 1
it being a lemon and jumped on a reduced price, floor model.
It has a million settings and loads of extra plastic gubbins for specialist washes. But that's not really for me. I set it for 60 minutes. And off it goes! (have been tempted to try the quicker option but folk here don't rinse anything.)
Things to love:
* versatility. Many rows of prongs on bottom and middle level fold down. If not too many plates, fold the bottom prongs down for saucepans. I can fill the middle level with glasses with the prongs up, or bowls and platters with them down. So fabulous for lasagne night where we have pots and trays and everything else. My full width oven trays can easily fit in.
* the top cutlery drawer is genius. As well as the basket, there is a top shallow shelf for cutlery. The cutlery is nicely separated for efficient cleaning. And is a good place for bigger cooking cutlery like tongs and carving knives. I don't use the provided basket for the bottom shelf, leaving more space for pots etc. .
* Cleanest, sparklingest glassware in 16 years of dishwasher ownership.
A novelty touch is the red light that shines on the floor to let you know when you're 'super-quiet' machine is operating
The negatives:
* I am worried about how it will go long run as a friend has had a lot of issues with her Bosch.
* It's quite short compared to our benches, so had to extend the legs a LONG way to get it to fill the space, and by then the chrome kick-plate wasn't wide enough to cover the legs fully. Not worried overly about that as it isn't too noticeable, and we could infill with some of the kitchen laminate. Getting the legs to start turning to extend was also fiddly and difficult.
But it's fitted now and working an absolute dream so fingers crossed it keeps doing that for years to come!
Very Quiet and Energy Efficient – We just purchased this under-bench model having been without a dishwasher for a couple of months. My husband removed our old, broken dishwasher and easily installed this one to fit perfectly in its place. Firstly, we are amazed at how very quiet it is when running. It uses around 10-12 litres of water, depending on the programme used, which is… Read more · 1
certainly a lot less water we would use when hand washing.
Inside, I like the VarioDrawer for cutlery/utensils, the high quality baskets, the GlassSecure Tray and the included large item Sprayhead.
I like the good range of wash programmes and the option to adjust various settings. The quick 29 min programme is awesome and so far is our preferred programme and perfect for our needs.
A very handy feature is the InfoLight that shows us at a glance (on the floor) that the dishwasher is still running (yes, it's quiet) and I like that the dishwasher switches off automatically after the programme has ended.
So, we are happy with our purchase and look forward to many years of not having to hand wash ever again!!!
