We were gifted this model machine and it was in excellent as new condition. We are a repair place to be open and honest. It was gifted to us as the person didn't want to throw it away. It had an issue! We looked into it and we can see, many other people have had the same issue - so it must be a common problem, is this why it was discontinued?… Read more

The cycles aren't aligned and the full wash only works on quick wash in the normal position. Such a shame. We contacted Bosch and were transparent and honest, we even sent in the email our details by way of our card. We are a Hobby now, not a Business. The Coof19 saw fit to that. So as per usual, they ask do you have the receipt, where did you buy it from. I returned an email stating already mentioned things. They wrote back today with a phone number to call to book it in for a technician. Very rude, but they probably think they are being funny. They really are sick these people. We only wanted some information and possibly due to this being a problem, many other people have faced, ( this being a manufacture fault or planned obsolescence more than likely ), the chance of a replacement control module or a discount at least on a replacement. But no, just a rude response from another Corporation who only looks after it's shareholders.

Bosch classic electric dishwasher no power – My bosch classic electric dishwasher stopped working last week. There is no power to it. It sounds like i will need to get the power control board replaced which is very expensive. Ive only had it for 2.5 years. Bit disappointed.

After almost 12 years still going strong – Had some minor issues early on - soap dispenser stopped opening several years ago but my husband managed to find a replacement and has been fine since. 2 of the lower plate racks rusted out a year or ago and I managed to source replacements through a local parts supplier. Have always used greener detergents- (powder and tablets) and rinse aid,… Read more ·  1

still going strong after 11 years – easy to use, have never needed a repair got "check water light" a few times in 11 years, turning machine off and on solved it the movable dividers make it easy to fit odd size things, though some parts are a bit flimsy, we broke one of the connecters early on. cleans very well for us except when a large grain of rice gets stuck in a sprayer.… Read more

That's any easy fix too and considering how often we eat brown rice hardly ever happens.

the only thing I really dislike is cleaning the grinder filter, it get very greasy but as it's part of why the machine is as quiet as it is I would still buy this style again.

Basic, reliable, quiet – Was in our house when we bought it 4 years ago. Looked like it was a few years old at that stage. Has been a rock solid performer, washes well, has reasonably god layout and I have very few gripes. Is very basic and uninspiring but I don't care about that. Doesn't dry brilliantly, and the quick cycle is anything but, but then the normal and… Read more ·  1

intensive cycles are only. 1.5hrs anyway, so not worried. Often forget to clean it, when the unrinsed fry pans come out greasy I remember that I should maintain the poor thing and clean out the filters. And nope, I don't prerinse either. I scrape the big bits, that's all. Only put a dishwasher cleaner through it once in 5 years. I really do abuse the poor beast. Was waiting for it to die to upgrade to a Miele, but this little performer has probably converted me. Hopefully it'll last a few more years and by then the decision will be easier.

Dog of a product – Similar problems to those mentioned. The sequencing was wrong. The quick cycle took longer than the intensive cycle. In the end we only used intensive. Started getting errors and incomplete cycles, the machine would trip out the breakers. It stopped working completely after 5 years & 3 months. Bosch lesson has been learned, we will be going back to Asko.  Show details

Worse dishwasher ever – I have had this dishwasher for 5 years and check lights keep coming on and the wash cycle never finishes and the lights stay on all night long with an incomplete cycle. Check Water Light coming on – Really annoying; had this dishwasher for less than 5 years had intermittent problems with check water light coming on and water not being fully pumped out. Had technicians attend twice already both times couldn't find a fault; now its completely stuffed and requires a water pump @ $350 to fix. Bosch dishwasher – I have had it for 8 years, and it has died. The cost to fix it, is going to be $400. We are presently looking for another and was told to just buy a dishlex. Not too sure about this. Very disappointed it only lasted 8 years , as my old dishlex lasted a lot longer. The check water light was always coming on. Now we are confused as to what to buy.… Read more

I don't think it is worth fixing. The water pump went just out of warranty as well. It is a shame as it is such a quiet machine. We loved some features, but what I paid, it was over priced for what we got.

Limited working life 51/2 years – I let this go from PR to Bosch awaiting potential response, but having hard nothing in a week. stops all lights go out. Unplug power, Wait 15 minutes turn it on again runs few minutes stops. Applies to all programs.

Called Bosch but they had phone issues and said would call back. So went with local licensed Bosch repairer, who arrived promptly listened and found same fault said power module (I think), checked price was about $380 and another $60 old service call.So after spending $140 odd on service call we faced another $450 odd for repair.

Bosch did call back but by then we knew where we stood. No durability in this German made machine.

Now looking at another brand.

But thought to warn other of Bosch durability issues.

Not as reliable as I would expect from Bosch – Purchased this dishwasher in 2012, but after a couple of years started getting the dreaded check water light, usually had to turn it off and on at the wall a couple of times and seemed to fix it. Very unreliable – This dishwasher is now 8 years old. It originally broke down within one week of getting it and it took 3 weeks for the Bosch people to replace the main board. Over the years we have regularly had the dreaded "check water" light problem that many others have complained about. We have paid for many service calls and had the pump replaced and several… Read more

other parts replaced. It then works for a little while before the problem recurs, so either the wrong parts have been replaced, or the parts last for a very short time. Now we have just had the Bosch service agent look at it again and this time the quote for the repair is $1082.00! I paid $946 for the machine. They can't even guarantee that would fix it because until they replace 2 parts they say they can't be sure if that is the problem, but if it doesn't work then they will look further. I asked if I would get my money back on those 2 parts if they turn out to not be the correct fix, but sadly they said no - it's just a gamble. I do not know if the recommended Bosch service agent is just charging too much, but I would need to pay another $166 service call to get a second opinion. This is really disappointing - we have a house full of Bosch appliances now, and I really hope the rest of them turn out better. I expected the dishwasher to last longer than this, and am debating whether it is worth the risk to replace it with another Bosch, or abandon Bosch and try Miele, or just try another non-Bosch-recommended service agent.

Heat pump problem along with flooding – No favourite features not much to say. It washes and it floods and now heat pump doesn't work. Sometimes it cleans well but sometimes some food left. The worst dishwasher ever! – We have had this dishwasher since April 2012. We were going to get an Asko like we had previously and I am so mad that we didn't. Was good but suspicious of Bosch now – Have had the machine for 7 years. During that time it has been excellent. We now have the dreaded Check Water light, first solid then flashing. impeller, dragged it out and did the tipping thing. Can't be bothered to strip it down to look for what is likely a simple issue. These are really simple machines and can be built to be reliable for many years. The built in obsolescence is woeful these days where everything is meant to be disposable, recyclable if you are lucky. But this just seems to be a straightforward design flaw that Bosch have never rectified. They have now taken this model off the market but the legacy lives on. The newer models appear to be made in Turkey so the Germans have outsourced the manufacturing. Given the hoped for German reliability never eventuated maybe the Turks can do better. But I won't be buying another Bosch. I don't expect these things to last forever but 10 years at least is not unreasonable I think. From the comments by Bosch here they appear to be selective in who they select to repair their faulty dishwasher. Given call out rates I'll simply be buying a new unit....not Bosch. Overall disappointing as Bosch had a good name but once bitten best avoided..

Check water light keeps coming on – We bought this dishwasher Feb 11. For over 3 years now we've kept getting a steady 'check water' light on. We've placed calls to Bosch and then cancelled as the machine would run ok for a while. This machine has been nothing but trouble and I now suspect it was never working properly. We also purchased the extended warranty.

Hopefully this model is not for sale anymore – I have had this dishwasher for a short 6 years! I have only used it for 5 as it had a year off whilst we were renovating! cavity did help so I put it down to the hose being pressed up against the back of the machine. Still, it was annoying!

Recently the normal cycle decided not to work properly and the dishes came out still dirty.

So have been using the pots cycle, which worked until a few days ago, when at the end of the cycle, the active light would start to flash!

The machine tripped out the circuit board overnight a couple of days ago and won't even switch on.

Have spoken to a repair man on the phone just to ask his opinion, and his estimate to come out and fix it with a new electronics board is $500+/-. I can get a new machine for this price.

It seems such a waste to not get this fixed but I guess things aren't made to last now a days!

Extremely disappointed with Bosch.

Temperamental – This dishwasher has generally been unreliable the whole time we've had it requiring several attempts to turn on/off/reset before a cycle starts. 'check water' light has started coming on and the washer abruptly stops about a minute into a cycle (despite religiously cleaning water/pump filters). Stopped working one day! – This is my first time ever putting some feedback on line. I bought this dishwasher in 2012 after having had a Bosch similar model at my old house. The initial call out cost 100 dollars to just look at machine.

I am disappointed as my previous Bosch worked well for 12 years and now I am faced with either replacing the board or buying another machine.
