Bryan

The machine is keep shut off itself in the mid cycle after draining water, and it will back on for a minute or 2, then shut off again. It will keep on and off cycle for many times before it can finish a quick wash, approximately 4 to 5 hours, do you know what's wrong with it? I have checked the water pump, power supply with no issue...

I have water left in the bottom of the unit and E25 showing. I have cleared and cleaned every part and filter. There is a white part that appears to have come away. I cannot find the place it is supposed to slot into and then click. The picture in the manual is hard to understand. Can you send me a more appropriate picture and instructions. Also could you please quote on a new part. SMS50E22AU/28 FD 9011 ?? regards Natalie

Bosch Home Appliances
Bosch Home Appliances   DM

Hi Natalie, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch SMS50E22AU/28. The E25 can mean that the pump cap isn't fitted or a further issue in the pump. The pump cap may be broken and that is why it's not fitting correctly. If you go to external link  it has a video of checking for E24 and about half way through it shows the cap. If you end up needing to buy a cap you can go to external link  and purchase position 0434 or feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744, option 4 to purchase it over the phone. If these don't fix the issue or it is not broken, please call us to arrange a service to investigate further. Regards, Bosch Home Australia

Hello, we installed a Bosch SMS66MI02A Serie 6 Freestanding Dishwasher yesterday. We selected the "Quick 29 min" cycle but it runs from 44 mins. Do you know why? Is there a way we can reset the entire programing and start from scratch? Also I turned off Rinse Aid because I will not be using it - could that be why?

Integrity
Integrity

It goes to 44 if you do not have rinse aid in it. fill the rinse aid and you will get a 29 min cycle

Miss Marple

I use white vinegar instead of rinse aid to avoid the toxic chemicals. Sometimes the vinegar runs out and I leave it a while before refilling (busy lives). The quick cycle still runs the same time. So unsure why your machine is running 44 mins.

My mum bought a Bosch dishwasher SMS50E32AU in Feb 2019 and it washers well but doesn't dry properly. She had a Bosch before and was happy with it but this one doesn't dry well especially plastic containers. Is there something she is not doing properly. She has even brought a better rinse aid to see if that made a difference but no. Is this a common problem?

How do I set the timer to 29 mins

How do I set the timer for 29 degrees

Bosch Home Appliances
Bosch Home Appliances   DM

Hi Mary,  Thank you for your question. Rinse aid is required for the quick wash to operate within 29 minutes. If it is not used the dishwasher will recognize that a tablet is being used without rinse aid and the program duration will change to 44 minutes. This is because a tablet will not fully dissolve within 29 minutes and so would result in suboptimal wash results – the rinse aid component requires more time to dissolve. If rinse aid liquid is used the dishwasher will use this instead, and pump out the water containing the undissolved rinse aid tablet particles. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744.  Regards, Bosch Home Australia

Hi Mary, Thanks again for your question. The 29mins quick wash works under the programme 'Quick 45°'.Please keep in minds this programme is best used for utensils and cutlery that is lightly soiled. Hi. Shortly after initiating a cycle all power is lost to the unit. Its is like a circuit within the dishwasher trips on protection. It requires me tonturn it off at the wall, and shortly later you will hear a click, as the circuit resets and you can then again start another wash or it attempts to continue on with the previous cycle. Any ideas?

My Bosch dishwasher was purchased May 2011 for $1070 from Harvey Norman - but the dishwasher has often shown a "check water" error. Until now the error could be fixed by turning off/on. Now it won't stop or turn off unless power is off at wall. Judging by previous comments, it is now time to throw it out rather than have it serviced. Any one else have a similar view?

Miss Marple
Miss Marple

Hi Jo-Anne, this is a great question that we all get confronted with. Is it worth paying for repairs now or will further issues arise making it better to just get a new appliance? I don’t know that answer, but perhaps if it’s a <$400 repair it might be worth going down the repair route. I have the same issue with a $1000 colour printer right now, whether to keep spending money on repairs or get a new one. Good luck.

Hi Jo-Anne, We recently had the same decision - to fix or replace. We had already decided we would replace when then next time we used the old dishwasher it went POP - that made our decision easier. However in my research of Product Review, it seems that 5-6 years life for a dishwasher of that vintage is "normal". Our old dishwasher was 2012. I would be interested if other people think of the lifetime limit.... Also our previous Westinghouse dishwasher lasted 5.5 years too.... All the best with your decision!

Hello,

We have the SMS50E22 model which has been great for at least five years.

Tonight we've had a grey panel fall out from the top of the machine at the front, seemingly some part of the sealing, and I'll be somethinged if I can work out where on earth it was attached to previously. Is there a diagram online of the machine with the door open that would give me a clue? Thanks
