Dishwasher has no lights and appears to be off - but continually cycles through a drain cycle, then nothing, then water feeds back in to the filter area and the drain cycle starts again. Have: - checked for blockages - tilted over - pressed reset button - put air compressor into exhaust hose Cycle continues.

Hi there - have rung a number of times (from two different phones) with same result - if I choose Option 2 or Option 3, it puts me on hold with music for about 20 seconds and then disconnects - is there another number I can call?

How on earth do you install this dishwasher to an incoming water supply? The 'installation instructions' are essentially a cartoon with no-text, and thus effectively pointless as the Aquastop inlet appears to require some non-standard parts in order to connect to the water supply. These parts do not come with the machine, but there is absolutely no reference to them in the Bosch website or the product specifications - Referring to SMS40E08AU
Hi, Our Aquastop is designed to fit a standard 3/4" tap as per section 3 of your installation instructions. If your tap doesn't match this then we are unable to assist and you would have to speak to a plumber or hardware store to check if there are adapters that will work for you. The hole provided in the cupboard for the hoses to go through is too small for the aqua stop to fit. Can the plastic cover be taken off? Also can a freestanding lid be left on if it fits under bench with it on?

Hi Havan, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch dishwasher. The answers are the same for all of our dishwashers. The top is intended to be left on for the free standing appliances. The underbench ones come without the top. With the Aquastop, please don't take the cover off as it will effect your warranty. You would have to increase the size of the hole in the cupboard. HI @Bosch Home Appliances, I recently purchased a new Bosch dishwasher based on major online retailer advice that removing top from free standing appliance to fit within cabinet would not affect warranty. Can you clarify what I should do in this instance?
I have this dishwasher I bought from The Good Guys, and haven't used it much since I bought it in 2014. Recently it has started showing E14 and Check Water lights up and it just stops. Is there anything I can do to fix it please before I arrange a call out from Bosch registered technician? I had a Dishlex before this one and it lasted 15 years without any trouble. Hi I have this dishwasher and there is an inlet for me to put salt in although there is nothing about this in manual?

I have never added salt in any of my dishwashers.
I have just installed this dishwasher and have a question about the installation orientation of the aquastop valve.
Due to our plumbing configuration, the outlet for the dishwasher is pointing vertically up so when installed the aquastop valve hose is entering the outlet from above instead of below as per the installation diagram. My question is would this cause any issue? the machine seems to work fine.

Hey. I can't see it being an issue. We had to use an extension hose because the dishwasher was too far from the tap. We never had any problems. If you are concerned, maybe use an extension hose. That way the aqua stop will be pointing in the right direction.
Hi Breamo, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch SMU68M15AU Dishwasher. We recommend that the aqua stop is installed with the tap in a downward position, the reason for this is the aqua stop is designed to determine leaks in the tap and shut the water inlet to the machine off to avoid flooding.
If the aqua stop is not installed in the correct position it becomes ineffective.
