E23 error! – Cleans well. We now have the error message of a blockage. Had a repair man look at it. He made the hole bigger but made no difference. He said that it could be a part that would cost $300 so probably not worth it. Disappointed with the front-signs of rust. Looking to buy another dishwasher. Show details

Great dishwasher, very quiet, cleans well and very energy efficient just takes slightly longer cycle for a heavy clean – Very satisfied with all the features, I don’t rinse before putting dishes in unless they really heavily soiled, the filter is super easy to clean, dishes never come out dirty, I use the pits and pans setting the most. Still running perfectly almost 9 years on. Show details ·  1

Love it and hate it – So quiet and cleans well. My only issue is the outside finishing. The stainless steel exterior is awful. Having had many other stainless appliances of other quality brands and never really having an issue - this one is terrible. High maintenance and always look bad. Hoping to be able to purchase a white front panel replacement.  Show details

Excellent and get the job done – Dishes are very clean. Maybe need to use long cycle to be thoroughly dry. I still dry them before putting three dishes away. Hardly know that it is running as it is quiet. Childlock and quick 30 min cycle. Made my life so much easier. Cannot believe that i lived without a dishwasher.  Show details ·  1

Works well but should have bought free standing – The dishwasher itself works really well, is nice and quiet and cleans the dishes really well but the dishwasher itself needs a kickboard to match your kitchen or it leaves the feet exposed which is a shame as it looks so ugly. It should come with a cover for the feet.  Show details ·  1

I can't live without a dishwasher – I like how it cleans my dishes, all the cutlery, including large pots, which come out so clean, it's so quiet you can barely hear it when the cycle is over, and I especially love the fact rinse water goes up to 70C. I couldn't even rinse the dishes at that temperature myself.  Show details ·  1

After 2 years E24 error time after time! – For the first year or so I loved this dishwasher, then around the 2 year mark we got the dreaded E 24 code - meaning draining issue. It cost $150 to fix to have a tiny piece of glass removed. Since then the error has occured up to 5 times! The tiniest of things block the drainage in this machine. Very very disappointed with this Bosch. I am now ordering a new dishwasher from a different manufacturer. I will never buy a Bosch dishwasher again.  Show details

Extremelly well engineered dishwasher - amazing performance – Purchased from appliancesonline as they had the best price and took the old dishwasher away. I installed it myself and found it very easy. Upon first use, we had to touch the machine to ensure it was working. That is how quiet and smooth this machine is. At the peak of a wash cycle there is a very low murmur of water wooshing around but that's… Read more ·  1

it.

The cutlery tray is brilliant. The middle drawer is height adjustable to fit small plates etc or to make more room for tall items on the bottom drawer.

The hygene plus feature lets us steralise our babies dummies and bottles etc. Super convenient.

The wash quality is astounding. We used to half wash baking dishes etc with our old dishwasher. That isn't necessary with this machine. It also dries the dishes quite thoroughly. Overall would highly recommend.

Absolutely Perfect – I haven't had my dishwasher very long but so far I'm in love with it, it's so quiet it cleans beautifully even pots come out clean. We took out the 5 year Concierge just on the chance something did happen that we would layout a fortune for the worker to come out and look at it as we live rural, that gave us peace of mind even when I rang them to… Read more ·  2

register they were lovely, now the only think I didn't like when I have a lot of dishes and pots that the cutlery tray is in the way as in I can't put bread plates or anything too high in the top cage as it hits the cutlery tray and having the top cage as low as it will go means some of my dinner plates hit the top cage, I'll have to buy a cutlery basket and remove the cutlery tray to fit things.. As months go by I will update this post.. I still love it..

We run this 2-3, sometimes 4 and 5 times a day. A great dishwasher, and I have almost no complaints! – Ok, we bought this dishwasher over the Miele options because after doing a bit of research, I found that this model and other "Higher-end" Bosch's were made entirely in Germany too, and the Bosch came with a longer warranty as standard. I am honestly surprised to see that others are having so many issues with this model, because I can't say that… Read more ·  2

I've experienced any of them.

I will say this. Use good detergents, and you'll be rewarded with cleaner dishes.

The stress test:

I and my partner, cook a LOT. We bake our own bread, we preserve, can, and utilise everything we grow in our small orchard and extensive vegetable garden. We often cater for large groups of people, and we make almost everything from scratch. It's not unusual for us to cook concurrently, and to say that we use a lot of bowls, tupperware, cookware, jars, cans, mixer attachments, and cutlery is quite an understatement for a domestic environment.

I won't say that I always pre-rinse our dishes because the demands our family makes that impossible. However, if you really bake something on, and let it go hard over a few days... then a dishwasher... (short of industrial cleaners) won't clean it effectively.. or you could try a heavy duty, (and very hot) wash.

One of my main goals when shopping for a dishwasher was to get a cutlery drawer. We cook a lot with pots and pans, the old basket took up precious space on the lower rack, and trying to fit everything around it was a constant battle. The lower drawer on this model is quite deep, and I have no problems putting in my 30cm deep stockpot, a 30cm wide collander, and two small saucepans/skillets in at once. Wider items like my paella pan can be a little bit trickier, but you can still put a few smaller items around it.

I like the fact that this unit has some intelligence about how big a load it's doing, and runs the appropriate amount of water. We've actually noticed a drop in our water usage, which if you're doing only 2 loads a week, would be difficult, but when we're doing 3-4 loads a day... it adds up. The electricity usage is actually 20% less than our old one (I have a socket meter which tells me this). So the technology is definitely getting better.

My only complaint about this unit is that the shelves don't have height adjustment. That's all I miss, honestly.

We've heavily used this thing since we got it (being without a dishwasher for several days when the old one died... was difficult). It ran 10 loads, back to back.. which took a day or so. Everything was cleaned beautifully. However, we've followed Bosch's instructions and used their recommended ranges of detergents.

Going on two months of relentless cleaning... I can't find a fault with ours. However, I'm also a little more pedantic than most because I clean the machine on a fortnightly basis.

I can't say why others are having a problem, but I can only recommend this model from my own experience.

Good luck with your hunt for a good dishwasher!

Very unhappy with what should be a good product – The good thing is, it is so quiet. Doesn't intrude at all. The bad things are it doesn't clean - and the purpose of it is.... Perfect dishwasher in every way – The Bosch Cleans everything brilliantly first time without rinsing, it is super quiet, I especially love the top draw for cutlery, easy to stack and easy to unpack. And did I mention super super quiet. Nice selection of wash cycles, very easy to operate. I especially like the express clean cycle, which is only 29 minutes and does a great job.  Show details

Fantastic dishwasher – This dishwasher works beautifully. It cleans the dishes really well and dries them perfectly. It has plenty of room for all of the things we use - it is tall and deep enough. It's also really quiet to run - apart from the occasional gurgle, you wouldn't know it was running. It looks really good as well in our kitchen, which is a bonus!  Show details ·  1

Excellent Dishwasher – This dishwasher is great, cleans and dries dishes really well when compared to my previous dishwasher. As long as your clean it once a month or so. Very quiet, and super easy to use. Love the cutlery drawer. The only fault is the fact that the stainless steel front can show finger prints, but no big deal.  Show details ·  1

They can't seem to fix it? – I get the average life cycle of an appliance is around 5 years but really this dishwasher has been a lemon since we brought it. On the plus side It's quite the layout is great top rack for cutlery is awesome but it keep throwing out errors. E24 water sensor was the first one had it looked at that for $150 Then it wouldn't heat the repair man… Read more

came out again took it all apart and low and behold it heats ? No fault found ? another $150

E15 errors now : No water in dishwater is the latest one and now it won't heat water again it's become noisy like the water pump is struggling.

General googling around say tilt it 45 degrees and bob's your uncle to fix it.

I'm not sure if it's got to many sensors in it but it's been a pain over the 5 years we've had it. It's the German model as well. Not happy considering we thought bosch=quality

So now I'm stuck do I buy a new one or fix this lemon again !

Cheers

Flow Meter broke within 3 years of minimal use – We purchased a Bosch ActiveWater Dishwasher SMU68M15AU/01 "Made in Germany" only 3 years ago for AU$1200. Bosch dishwasher has very good rak space. Runs very quietly – Washes all my dish so clean. Runs very quietly. Half load could have been exactly half the time of the full load but half loads takes 1.5 hours to complete the full wash when the full load takes 2 hours to complete. Fits Neatly – I purchased this from Harvey Norman. I have an old kitchen with relatively low benches. It's very quiet and seems to work really well. Cleaning is easy. Ive tried the vario option and it seems to work well. I've only had it for about a week so will edit this post when I've tried more settings.

Mine is connected to the hot water. I will see the impact this has on my bill in the next few months and if it's too high I will get the tap switched over.

Bitterly disappointed – Having owned a Bosch years ago I had decided to purchase another as my Blanco was falling apart. After each wash I open the door with trepidation. It quite often leaves remnants of cereal on bowls and really struggled to remove bolognaise sauce. I suspect the machine is faulty as my mother's almost identical machine does a fantastic job.  Show details

Quiet, effective, good looking dishwasher – We had a Bosch dishwasher many decades ago and were very happy with it. there were no problems, the documentation from Bosch was very minimal (one double sided sheet with cartoons and no instructions). It is very quiet and it does a good job of washing and drying the items in it. And the cutlery tray at the top makes it much easier to put the cutlery away - especially if you group the similar items together when you pack it. So far, very happy.

It was a bit more expensive than some others, but after having cheaper dishwashers in the past that did a poor job, I thought i'd spend an extra few hundred dollars and get something good. Disappointed with Bosch – We purchased Bosch after having a bad experience with Dishlex dishwasher and their service. After hearing reviews about Bosch we decided to buy this particular model in mid 2013. It had been working well until end of Dec 2016. It just died one day. No power nothing. The only thing I would take to live in a tent – The machine is very quiet. It cleans and dries beautifully. Has a 29 minute wash which is great for not so dirty dishes, especially if they have been rinsed beforehand. Filter is easy to remove and clean. Very happy , it woes what they say! – We bought our Bosch three months ago, replacing a Kleenmaid which was a little tired after 22 years of faultless service. water left on them (could be due to the "other half's" loading methods). It is very quiet, usually need to check the indicator lights to see that it's still running. Much used and well-stacked – I don't know how I grew up without a dishwasher! This gets used once a day at least. We stack it pretty full, and it washes really well. Super quiet, too. tanks, we love that it uses so very little water!! The Auto setting works a dream, and adding 'Intensive' when there are a few pots and pans in there helps as well.

The dishwasher does a squeaky clean wash if it's not stacked super full, but we're very happy with the clean it does give us when we stack it as full as possible. Food only gets left on the dishes if we mistakenly stack something too low and it catches on the arms of the dishwasher, so it can't get washed properly. Doesn't happen very often, though!

The only criticism I could make is that for all the time it takes to dry, it doesn't really do a great 'drying' job. The plasticware is always wet and needs to spend quite a few hours in the kitchen drying rack. Otherwise, it's fantastic, and we love it. In fact, it's our 4th household Bosch appliance, we are very happy with the brand (x2 dishwashers, x1 front loader washing machine, x1 condenser dryer).

Best dishwasher we've ever had! – I researched dishwashers, this one was available locally, so purchased one in July 2015. We have since moved interstate into a house with an alternate 2 year old brand. Noisy, so I have just purchased another Bosch. It gets installed today and I can't wait! whisper quiet but does seem to leave some dishes dirty – We bought this dishwasher after being so impressed with our last bosch63m18. However this one doesn't clean as good. It is super quiet but the cutlery draw always has dirty cutlery and the plates are regularly dirty and need rinsing. Quality seems just as good and the squarer edges flow better with the kitchen layout. But it is tree to clean and doesn't do that very well

Great dishwasher except for filters – I had purchased this model about a few months back and it works great, It is quiet and cleans well. pull out the connection of the drainage hose to the pipes under the sink and found that quite a fair bit of food had gotten stuck. And they were not tiny pieces either, some were about half an inch long and you would expect that the filters would have caught that. I am actually surprised that the filters were relatively clean and did not catch most of the food. From reading the manual, I understand that there is no need to rinse the plates first before putting them in. This make me wonder why the filter is there in the first place as it does not do it's job.
