Bosch Uneo Maxx

Uneo and Uneo Maxx are very different things! – I saw reviews here that were clearly talking about the bosch UNEO (fisrt model) without interchangable exterior batteries! Those ones like the one on the photo (thats not a uneo maxx by the way) were a big flop, because the idea was good the only thing it needed as externals 18v batteries like the uneo MAXX uses! The Bosch uneo MAXX i have puts… Read more
to shame large impact hammer and most of professional corded tools specificaly designed to drill concrete, na this litle light weight put's them all to shame!
Don't bother! – I bought this drill due to its portable size and lightweight. It has worked well for me in that regards and it's easy to carry and has enough grunt for the type of jobs I do. It was hard to find and expensive to buy SDS drill bits but I could tolerate given most of the drillings I do is "standard size". If this is the end of my review I would have… Read more
given this product 4 or even 5 stars. There's always a however. However what is a total disaster is its (internal) battery component. Who would have thought the battery just decides to die on a "regular basis". It has died twice now and I have no intention to have it repaired this time. Garbage bin is where it belongs. The first battery started leaking fluid and the drill was sent back to Melbourne for a warranty battery replacement. Not much more than a year later, the second battery died again. I am sorry to say this Bosch, but it does seem that Bosch has really good mechanical components, and if you compare the specs on paper it's top notch but when it comes to electrical components, my advice is STAY AWAY.
Good – This is almost as light as my power screwdriver but yet this does drilling and hammering. I have tested on my brick wall and hammering. This drill does it with ease. It comes with a accessories set which includes 2 SDS-quick concrete drill bits (6mm and 8mm), two hex shank drill bits for metal (5mm and 6mm) and four different types of long… Read more
screwdriver bits. I would be spewing if they had not included them because you can't use any other 'normal' (circular) drill bit shank. In a way you are 'forced' to get some hex shank ones. I bought two sets of drills bits for wood and metal. They are bottle good stuffs. How I wish the multi-construction drill bits comes with either of those two shanks.
There is also a 'fuel' gauge to tell you if your battery is low. Good thing about this drill is that it has Lithium-ion battery. Disadvantage would be you would not be able to swap your spare battery around as this is built-into the handle.
In a power screw driver, you are able to adjust the torque which will prevent you from 'over' screwing but not this one. I wish they had incorporate that as that would made it a perfect drill.
Overall I think this is a fantastic drill to have as you do not have to carry so many other power tools around. However if you already have lots of drill bits with circular shank, you might not want to get this one unless you are willing to upgrade your drill bit set. The Bosch ones are not too expensive. I think they should make a hostler for it as I can't find it anywhere to hook onto my tool belt because its triangle in shape. Versatile in drilling, hammering and screwdriving. Lightweight. Lithium-ion Battery. SDS-quick system. Comes with accessories set. Limits to only drill types with hexagonal shank or SDS-quick shank. Doesn't have torque adjustments like the other power screwdrivers.
Bad – great drill but usless till they sort out the supply bits to use in it. for that reson i am rating low nice to use compact quick to change between bits i cant find sds-quick dits any were and bosch dont even stock a 10mm masonry bit even thought the spec quots a max dia of 10 in concrete a mistry how they found that out.
