Six years of happiness! – I started appreciating (*loving*) this dryer from the first week I bought it - that was six years ago. The dryer is the hardest working appliance I've ever owned, along with my Bosch washer. Last week the lower fitting of the handle broke. It doesn't affect the function of the dryer but is a bit annoying. Hope to replace it soon. Aside from this small issue, I have nothing but good things to say about about this product. This dryer has been perfect for us – I can't understand the negative reviews. We have had this for 2.5 years now and it's perfect. We live in a small apartment so can't have humidity in the room; we have plumbed the water outlet and it drains perfectly. Of course it takes longer than a regular non-condenser machine but it works perfectly for us as the humidity created by… Read more · 1
non-condensor machines would be unbearable. As long as you clean the dust filters and condenser unit every 6 months, it works fine.
Very slow drying clothes, faulty and Bosch didn't care – We've had this dryer for 3 years now. At the beginning it worked, but it took forever to dry anything (we'd have to put it on several times) - which we could live with. We also had to replace a broken handle and the seal tore. Then after a year or so, it started having 'empty container' issues - ie. it stops every 2min and tells you to empty the… Read more
container. We spoke to Bosch and they said it was most likely caused by something we'd done (as in the terrible crime of putting clothes in it to dry) and they wouldn't repair it under warranty. 2 years later, we're still living with a dryer we have to turn on every 2mins due to not having the money to replace or repair it.
Bosch customer service is *the worst* ever - it seems their standard go-to response is to blame the customer for faults with their machines.
We also had a Bosch washing machine previously, a WAS32741AU purchased 6 years ago. When it was almost new, the seal tore and Bosch again said it was our fault (although if you google, it seems it's a very common problem with these machines). Then when it was 4 years old, the entire motor failed and it was a write off. Bosch again didn't care, wouldn't do anything about it (although 4yrs is very young for a machine of that price to die). Thankfully we had an extended warranty, so managed to get a much cheaper Samsung machine as a replacement (which incidentally has never missed a beat since we got it).
I bought Bosch because I used to believe you get what you pay for. I doubt I'll ever buy it again, at least as long as their customer service is so utterly abysmal.
Handles Broken on 5 machines!! – The handles have broken on 5 of the machines used in our housing pool!! Otherwise, they are good machines. Dislike having to empty the water twice every time I use it. Also, often times it does not dry all the way and stops repeatedly. When it works it is great.

Great dryer – Have had mine for just over 12 months now and like our 7 year old Bosch washing machine love it. Water collection draw ensures room is no longer damp as the dryer does not vent into the room. Drys perfectly once you work out the settings otherwise you will find garments are slightly damp, found this mostly when using the low heat button, but… Read more · 6
this also prevents cotton shrinkage.
Cannot go wrong with this dryer.
Love that there is no need for a timer and guess work, this unit senses dampness in garments.
I would highly recommend this or the 6 star energy rated version if you can possibly afford it, they are not cheap.
Our WTE84101AU was purchased second hand for a great price so happy to accept the fact that its a 2.5 star energy rated appliance as I will upgrade the washer and dryer next year. Works very well, super reliable even purchasing second hand
Great dryer - handle is an issue – We've had the dryer for two years but only installed it in our new laundry a year ago and love it.. No humidity (we're in Melbourne) and ever so quiet. Low heat setting is perfect for baby clothing as well as drying work jeans in the colder months. We also have a Bosch washing machine. Dries well and far more efficient than older style dryers.… Read more · 2
Handle broke and needs to be replaced - seems that it's weakest part is the most used aspect of the dryer. Bosch need to resolve this issue
condensors no good in australia – hate this machine as it does not work in australia in summer because of the humidity. other brands have fixed this problem but i feel riped off that they sold me a machine that can not work properly in this country. stackable does not work for 9 months of the year
Umm, guess what?!? Most people would not use a dryer in Summer anyway.... that's what a washing… Read more (+2 replies)
Perfect for the family – Love the condensor - can use it in an enclosed room without any condensation building up in the room (yay, no need to leave laundry doors open when using a dryer!). I have the waste tube/outlet attached to my sink so no water tray to empty. Quieter than my Bosch washing machine. Love the no-crease ending too. Efficient, quiet, can hold large… Read more
loads. At the top end price-wise, but being Bosch I expect it is built better and will hopefully last longer.
