terrible – Always breaking, had to replace the cord twice now and now another one has broke. When I try and listen to something I have to keep turning the jack to make both sides of the headphones to work. Then when I do get it to work, I let go of the jack and it buggers up again. Sometimes I plug it in and cant hear anything. For the price that it is sold for there are much better headphones.
wonderful with the ipad – These head phones are comfortable and sound good, are are good quality, they are made with apple equipment as a preference, and using the inline mike buttons, you can skip to the next track, switch the music on or off, up or down. Or even access Siri. They're not expensive compared to the myriad of headphones. As well as listening to music, i… Read more
find they're very good when using the duolingo langage app, when you have to talk to the ipad or computer, every word i've translated has been accepted in the short time i've had them.
i've not yet used them for answering and receiving phone calls.
most comfortable headphones with awesome sound – I have to say, these Bose AE2 headphones are the most comfortable headphones i have tried, the soft memory foam and light weight makes it really enjoyable to keep on for a long amount of hours. I put them on when i go to sleep and leave them on all night long without any discomfort. I used to have a set of seinheiser HD212pro head phones which… Read more
were so tight they would clasp to your head like a VICE to the point where after 20min of use they would be flung off and become worthless. As for the sound quality, theyre fairly clean generating clear trebles and fairly deep base. I havent tried any high end headphones to compare, but im really happy with these headphones in audio and comfort. Possibly the only thing is the cable is a bit flimsy and feels like it could snap easily but its no big deal. I highly recommend these headphones. really Comfortable
Excellent – I was given these as a birthday present in 2010. It was to satisfy my desire and whining to fellow housemate about my craving for Bose speakers on-the-go (unfortunately my companion 3 can't be taken on trains). The sound quality of these are incredible. When I went to pick them up, I saw the price tage of just $179 at David Jones. Bargain!… Read more
Eliminates a fair bit of sound due to it's around ear cushions which makes a lot of difference to the sharp sounds it produces. Another excellent Bose product! EXCELLENT sound, great quality, good price, great companion! That they don't go louder!
Good – I've played many different types of contemporary music through these headphones and they do justice to almost everthing. Whilst the may not be as accurate as other headphones in their price range (including my old AKG's), and they don't have that open sound that Sennheiser's do, they do deliver far more presence and excitement, particulary to rock… Read more
music. Their bass response is tremendous (deep too!). There's plenty of clean treble response and the mid-range is fine. In other words, plenty of thump and tizz! They are also extremely comfortable over extended periods, and isolate outside noise really well. Bose has redesigned these headphones since their initial release in 2002 to rectify issues with their frailty. Mine seem to be standing up fine. Overall, thoroughly recommended. Light. Comfortable. Sound great (especially the bass response). One wire to each ear design (cheap).
Good – The sound quality of the Bose Triport Headphones is excellent overall. The middle response can seem a little flat with heavier music but fantastic for acoustic. Bass can be a bit 'booming' on occasions but if you like a lot of bass in your music then these will do you fine. The bass does not distort until it becomes painful to my ears so any bass… Read more
distortion is not an issue.
The build of these headphones does not seem to correspond with the asking price. They are comfortable and lightweight though but they feel like they will break easily. However, I have had mine for 18 months and have not managed to break them. I have read reports of people breaking theirs easily. Maybe they were too rough with them.
I am happy with mine but I got them in the USA and they were on special. I would not have paid full price for them. For the same retail price you can get a better set of Sennheisers. Excellent bass response
Good middle response
Excellent high end response
Lightweight and comfortable Feels a bit flimsy for the price.
The cord seems a bit thin. I would have preferred a larger diameter cable to feel more secure. Perhaps even just one cord into one side would have been nice too, rather than the way it is split.
