Great Product – So much easier to use for wipe down than chamois. Just throw and drag over the surface, water beads are swept away or absorbed. Show details

A serious sucker – I thought I’d need at least 2 of these to dry my large Skoda wagon. This thing just keeps drying and does the whole car effortlessly. Suggest you buy 2 if you have more than one car to clean as drying time in colder months takes a while . This thing is so good that if you threw it in the Thompson dam, Melbourne might be back on water restrictions! But seriously this is good and the best I’ve used so far. Show details

Not convinced – Being a bit of a detailing enthusiast, I tend to stick with the professional stuff (Menzerna, Gyeon etc.) but have had some good results with Bowdens snow foam and washes. Decided to replace my aging Gyeon Silk drying towels with a couple of Green suckers when they were on sale. Followed the directions exactly as Bowdens recommend, washed before… Read more

use and used a couple of sprays of Boss Gloss as a drying aid. Was bemused by how much drag this towel had when gliding over the paint, you have to literally pull it with force. This is concerning as any dust or grit that happens to be around is definitely going to cause scratches. Switched to my Gyeon towels and they just float across the surface. Yes the green sucker is absorbent but does not work anywhere near as good. Just to compare the Gyeon towels are actually cheaper at RRP and larger.

Overpriced for the actual performance.

No more chamois for me – Whether I used a synthetic chamois or a natural chamois they did the job. I've been using chamois for 50 years. A few weeks ago a Auto retailer had these Bowden's Own Big green sucker's on sale saving a considerable amount of money. I took the plunge and bought one. Now the results are amazing, I've been using a blower to get rid of the excess… Read more

water for decades. It's effortless and at 66 years old I need it to be. I have now retired my old chamois.. Thanks to Bowden's Own..

Not a fan any more – Hello Guys, I love my cars and spend a lot of money on products keeping them clean. I have use for many years Australian Bowdens products. For Drying I have been using their "Big Green Sucker" cloths I recently discovered something very disturbing. When the cloth is completely dry if you shake it vigorously over any dark or black surface (e.g.… Read more

bonet of a car) the cloth will shower down a lot of what appears to be very fine yellowish grit. I vacuumed the cloths with a Clean Dysan vacuum cleaner and the yellowish grit collected in the cleaner., a lot of it. If you get enough of this stuff and rub between your fingers it is clearly abrasive, very strange.

I contacted a friend of mine who I recommended the green cloth too, and he did the same shake test and found the same thing.

I have written to Bowden's with photos etc in a very informal way looking for some idea of what this grit is. But sadly I was ignored.

I have done a little further investigation of my own and it looks like these cloths are actually two cloths stitched together along the edge and each cloth has some sort of polyester (or plasticized) backing which is disintegrating even on an almost new cloth.

Throw your chamois away! – Bowden's has improved on the chamois with the big green sucker. With a chamois you have to stop every now and then and squeeze the water out of the chamois. The big green sucker keeps on soaking up the water. I can fully dry a car completely without having to squeeze it out. It's also a lot bigger than the average chamois, you can cover a much… Read more

larger area making it much quicker to dry a car off with it. It's well worth the extra $ to buy this over a chamois.

Unreal chamois alternative – From a dry state this dries my 4WD and barely feels wet at the end of it, unbelievable. It also finishes the clean by grabbing any left over dust patches. The size makes it easy to handle. Highly recommend to quickly finish a car clean. Got it for Chrissie and looking forward to cleaning my truck again. Show details

Sucks the water right off – Having used micro fibers and chamois' before and never been really happy with the results but the Big Green Sucker is the best I've ever used, I cannot talk this product up enough, after washing my car I used this drying towel and could not believe the results, I only had to wipe the car down once and the end product was no water spots.
