I have a 2001 Subaru forester. Small head gasket crack passenger side (Australian model) approx 6 years ago. Was quoted $3200 to repair- tried Nulon, 100,000km sometimes in 40*C heat, needs a top up now and then but good old Sally refuses to die. I’m mechanically illiterate, maybe it works different in different engines but I’ve had success
100% recommend – Car would take 15mins to start each morning, rough idol, white smoke, losing coolant. Gave Nulon a shot. Followed instructions and the next morning started first time! No rough idol, my radiator levels were normal for the first time in a long time, and it gained a little bit of power. I think if it’s a really bad head gasket problem it probably wouldn’t work, but I highly recommend trying it. Show details
Waste of money – Followed the instructions, flushed the cooling system. Poured in the Nulon, filled up the radiator, started and ran for 15 minutes. Zero impact. A complete waste of money. Show details

December 2022, so in Summer. Made it to Perth without a problem. Never used oil or water. 3 months later the little Getz is going great and is registered in WA. So I absolutely recommend this product.

first but the product has worked brilliantly and I am hoping I might get many more months out of the car. Only thing you need to watch for is that the products little particles can foul up the venting mechanism on the radiator cap but a little clean of the caps venting mechanism will rectify this problem which can cause coolant to be blown out through the overflow reservoir cap. Its a great product and has bought me many months to be able to save up for another car.I highly recommend it but please note that the instructions say that if the gasket leak is too big it probably wont work.I was able to drive the car for more than 15 minutes before the engine overheated which was well within the product guidelines.Its now 14 months later and the car is still ok and uses no coolant.
It actually worked – Head gasket leaking coolant into cylinder. Rough start and initial idle. Put in new radiator and hoses. Added head gasket repair and let run for 10 minutes. Started perfectly. This stuff is AMAZING! – Started rough, water dripping from exhaust, white smoke,=. Quoted $2500 - $4000 to diagnose/repair cylinder head gasket/head leak by mechanic. Then told not to use this stuff, but to flush out the radiator, distilled water, copper based product blah blah. Took a punt on this Head Gasket Repair from Nulon. Works excellent – Water in oil and water under oil cap. Assume head gasket crack/corrosion to cylinder head. Worked a treat.. Well Worth using this. Good patchup in my mind to extended life/use until want to repair properly. Very pleased Show details

signs of leak disappeared, idled smoothly, runs powerfully, has since been on long trips in hot weather with AC and fully loaded. New plugs were important to ensure ignition and heating of the bad cylinders to set the sealant. Couldn't be happier.
Crapy – Worst waist of money ever. I followed the instructions and it did less than nothing. Apparently my fault nulon said like idk how to poor a bottle in the radiator

a small headgasket leak. Well, it was big enough to cause problem.
I was thinking if I shoud sell or pull the engine to rebuild and I came across this product. Did a lot of research, seemed worth the shot.
I put it on as per instructions. Car ran well not losing coolant but still water temp went a bit funny. Took a while to get all bubbles out and the car now runs like new for 2 months.
Will report back if thing goes wrong.
To be fair, this product supposed to fix a minor head gasket failure. Not fixing all overheating problems.

It hasn't worked – Used the recommended coolent, changed the oil before adding it, flushed and bled the radiator before adding it, ran the engine for the recommended time with heaters on full blast. No change, still overheating. Show details

took it out on a 100kph speed zone. Ran like a sewing machine and next morning noticed dry coolant on head & block under No.1 spark plug. Feel I got lucky that it may have been a hairline fracture in head gasket at front of engine, removed spark plug to confirm. Now it's simply a matter of how long it lasts? I like the word 'permanent', but this is sufficient to keep car running until I can go out and buy someone elses problems. Would highly recommend, if it doesn't work it obviously means the damage is far too extensive, over quoted 0.8mm crack, definitely worth taking a chance given full repair costs.

good quickly and ever since starts and idles perfectly.
Coolant level has not dropped at all in almost 2000 klm and no sign of any moisture under the oil cap. YES it does what it claims.
One important thing is to make sure the cooling system is clean and not clogged up with crap before using it. Use a good quality radiator flush and then flush the system thoroughly in both directions with plenty of water pressure to remove the loosened crap.
Final verdict....Excellent so far.
Total Failure – This item did not last one day. If your car has issues with the head fix it properly and put the money that this junk costs into a proper repair. I tried the cheap way out and knew that I knew better. $38.00 all over the road. Total rubbish Nulon should be ashamed. Tony. Tasmania Australia.
Excellent – My 4x4 was leaking 1L of coolant every 500kms or so & air bubbles in the reservoir. Used this product and 6 months on with over 5000kms (including a 1500km round trip to the Victorian High Country with over 250km low range heavy driving) I haven’t lost one bit of coolant. Very happy customer. Let’s hope it goes on fine for years to come
Incredible – 1993 Pajero I paid $1000 plus registration. I didn't have much money after about 2 months steam started coming out from under the bonnet. April 16th 2018 Update: Blocked radiator and heater cores
It worked great to start with fixed the leaking head gasket no more problems there. But after 10 days no more heater and the engine is over heating. It seems to be getting worse the other day it was getting hot going up hill but now it gets hot on the flat only going 90 kilometres an hour. If you're going to use it drain you system out after and flush refill with clean coolant. Before it's too late.

Google and found this Nulon Head Gasket Repair product. Not convinced about additives, I had nothing to lose, so bought a bottle. Followed the instructions carefully and to my utter surprise it worked...maybe still early days, but I have not added coolant for 8 days !!
