Simple. Didn't do the job. I upgraded to another model which did. To my surprise, they refused to refund which in violation of NZ Law. Working through the issue. The product deserves a negative review, as also does Braun. Very disappointed with the Series 3. I spent the money for a solution that was suppose to work. It didn't work. Cannot find a means to make a negative review at Braun or Farmers (place it was purchased) on the product. I brought a series 5 and it does the job well enough.
I was advised that it didn't make sense to buy another one. I didn't buy another one, I upgraded. That logic only makes sense if it is not sensible to buy the product at all. Extremely bad faith, or it was miscommunicated to me. Very disappointed.
I tried extremely hard to use the series 3, after it failed to work a number of times. I decided one last time, to give it a go and tried soft smooth and then even aggressive as the former didn't work, to extent of giving myself razor burn.
Again, very disappointed.

Useless when dry, absolutely useless when wet – Would get a better shave with a cheese grater, and would hurt less. Have used mine 5 times on a 3 day old beard and each time it felt like my face was being ripped apart. I needed to use my blade razor to finish off each time to shave what it misses. With a wet beard it picks up even less. Total waste of money, even at half price

Worst shaver I ever had – Bought this shaver a little over 1 year ago. Rechargeable battery is now so weak that will not complete 2 shaves. spare batteries seem to be unobtainable, or far too expensive if you can find one. The rest is ok, shaves reasonably well, but just cannot rely on it. I consider Braun to be the best in shavers, but this one is not up to their usual standard.

Simple, functional and well-priced – Had to replace my old fancy Braun after 10 years (!) and thought that something simpler might be worth trying. After seeing good reviews of Series 3 model 310S I thought that $79 was more than tempting. So far (3 months) the shaver has been performing very nicely. Easy to clean, the battery lasts for several days (although it needed a few charging cycles to gain full strength). There is no pouch.
Best razor I have ever owned – I bought my 310 at Walgreens for 41.99. The best money I've ever spent. I was shaving 2 times a day with cheap disposable razors. I shaved with my braun wensday and didn't need to shave again until friday. Now that's a close shave. I love it.
