Great Machine- years of service – Have had this machine for over 20 years and it has not missed a beat. Still making the best French loaf! Remember use the freshest of ingredients and you can’t go wrong. I am surprised at some of the bad reviews on this appliance. I have never had a problem

Does the job – My husband bought this for me so I didn't have a say in the settings it had. This is a very basic model & that's what it makes - basic bread. For ages I would always have the bread hit the top no matter how careful I was with the yeast. Now I only make the small loaf - 750g & it turns out perfect & doesn't overflow. Quality & taste depends on the flour / breadmix used & fresh bread is so tasty! Timer setting

Makes a lovely loaf – If you follow the recipes closely and use the correct ingredients it bakes a very nice loaf. I now use a modified recipe so that I can skip out the extra gluten flour. I have never tried using pre-mixed bread mixes - I prefer to know what is going into my loaf! It doesn't have a nut/seed dispenser but I just chuck seeds in at the start and they… Read more

are nicely distributed through the loaf. Easy to use, reliable operation. Tends to overbrown the loaf on the lightest setting but this is overcome by taking it out 5-10mins prior to completion.

Worthy replacement for the successful BB290 – I bought a BBM300 to replace a 7 year old BB290. These machines seem to be similar mechanically and make a square vertical loaf that fits in my toaster and makes neat sandwiches. The timer is new and has an extra option for gluten free and an extra control for 1 kg and 750g loaf sizes. The 1kg cycle times match those of the BB290 so performance… Read more

should be the same as indeed it was -- the BBM300 produced an identical loaf to my

BB290. The BB290 received favourable reviews and was one of the recommended models of a consumer test. The BBM300 is a worthy successor. Loaf can be cut into square slices that fit in a toaster and make neat sandwiches.

OK – This was given to us. If I had purchased it myself I would be disappointed. The dough is not always mixed properly on some of the options that cook the bread quickly (2 - 3 hours). It is a very noisy machine but easy to clean. The bread that does turn out is very nice! The loaf size is good - when it is sliced it is not too big to be used for… Read more

young childrens lunches as it still fits in a standard sized sandwich box. The variety of sizes and loaf types is great. It is very noisy! Unless I use the longest cycle for a regular loaf of bread, it doesn't always turn out nicely.

Bad – My mum used a breadmaker growing up and it made the most beautiful bread, so I bought one for myself, but have been disappointed in this one. It was at the lower end of the price spectrum, so I guess you get what you pay for with breadmakers. We've made quite a few loaves of bread and used all different bread mixes, as well as making from… Read more

scratch, but can't really get it to turn out really nicely. Also, not very economical. If you buy a breadmix, the loaves work out to be at least as much as a loaf from the supermarket. ability to make different loaf sizes. Time delay means you can set it to have the bread ready for when you get up in the morning. Bread doesn't taste that great

Excellent – This is the first breadmaker I have owned. I bought it out of interest but now find that it is indispensable. I bake bread two or three times a week and after some early mistakes now find that I can make perfect bread every time. I don't buy braed anymore so am saving a lot of money. Easy to work. Many variants of bread styles. Easy to clean. Trouble free. It is noisy (not all the time, just when mixing) but I've become used to it. Show reply

Terrible – very very disappointing. i have not been able to get one single good loaf out of it in the 3 months i've been using it the idea is great every loaf comes out with a huge airbubble on top and not great underneath. i am pedantic about measuring ingredients to no avail
