Hi all. For those that purchase pre-ground beans from the supermarket, which brand do you recommend please? I see that medium grind is best for drip coffee makers. Do you agree? Thanks
my machine has the red light on immediately when connected to electricity but does not start preparing coffe and also cannot be switched off. What can I do?
Contact the manufacturer or the store you purchased it from. I had to return mine for the same fault. It just stopped sucking the water up and out into the pot. Good Guys swapped it for a new one and all was well.
Has anyone measured the power used by the machine in standby waiting to time delay start?

If you mean that it just stops sucking up water half way through, that is how mine died and I had to return it. The electronics still worked but the water pump feature kept failing.

My machine won’t start dripping water. Turns on, electronic screen works, water and coffee in and pot in place power on but no water heating or dripping.
Could there be any problem with not recognizing the lid is closed? Or it’s something else?
As a basic question, did you press the leftmost (power) button to start the percolation process? You might have. I am just asking as the obvious is not always obvious.
I definitely did… I tried to detail as much as possible… I know how to use it and did many times. I’m describing a technical problem with the machine ..

Just bought this today. It sounded great. Firstly followed instructions, water just dropped through every time through the ground coffee, instead of slow drop. Then the coffee was only warm not hot, not sure what is going on. By the way the instructions are poorly written. I'm not surprised so many owners are confused on how to get this to work. Have owned many great Breville products in the past. Expect better. Very disappointed and even though its lockdown looks like I'll have to take it back:-(

Hello Just bought my first Aroma Style Electronic BCM600 I’m just wondering what happens if the machine runs out of water while in the heating process does it automatically turn off or does it need to be turned off manually ? And can it be programmed to make a certain amount of cups ?
The machine will stay on for approx 2hrs after it switches on. Once the water is empty you don't need to do anything as it will switch off automatically. I don't think it can be programmed to make a certain number, but you can just put less water in the machine.

Hi, I have a breville Bcm600, it was working fine but now it's not heating up. I have checked both thermostat and both continuity looks OK. The power light comes on when I press the button but it doesn't heats up. I've also reset the program button by pressing the prog button and it beeps 3 times. Pls suggest what else need to do, tq.
Hi there. I just received this as a gift and trying to work out how I can make the coffee hot not warm? how do I keep the heat pad on?
The heating pad for the coffee switches off after 2 hours. I usually take out and wash the stainless steel filter and leave it out and close the lid. You just need to press the start button again to start the heating again for 2 hours.
Colder coffee reheats fairly well this way. I find the coffee heat OK, as it is steaming.
Hi I bought a machine today and cannot get it to drip the water I filled the tank put the coffee in and turned on lots of noise and no water wateris dissapearing not dripping can someone help I am using manully
Hi there, had my BCM600 for a little while now and love it. But... yesterday out of the blue, it’s started to drip water while water is being poured in to the tank. It continues to drip during the coffee making process and just hisses and steams from the water on the hot plate, the whole time. Any ideas?
I know is a coffee purculator but can it also be used for tea?
Yes. The coffee maker can be used for brewing tea if desired. Simply place 4-6 teabags or teaspoons of tea in the mesh filter basket and follow the same procedure as for brewing coffee. It is advisable to thoroughly clean out the coffee residue in the mesh filter basket and filter basket holder before brewing tea and vice versa
The automatic timer on my Aroma worked around 4 times after purchase a couple of weeks ago, but no longer starts the coffee machine for me in the mornings. I loved getting up to hot coffee ready and waiting for me. Any ideas what is wrong?
