Hopeless - Plastic motor coupler keeps breaking into bits – The motor is coupled between to the jug through a little plastic coupler. It's so weak, it shatters into bits when anything frozen is put in the blender. Cheaply made, and useless. Show details

Bad quality – After owning this for a couple of months I wrote a positive review on here. But then I started to have problems. Firstly, the plastic on the jug base started to wear away. I look after my things so wasn't sure why this was happening. Then when I would pour my shake into the glass, a few puddles of clear water would leak out of the other… Read more

end, all over my benchtop or floor.

And the jug wasn't very stable on the base.

On a positive note, this blender is quite powerful and did a good job at blending ice, fruit, berries, etc.

I returned this for a refund under warranty.

Avoid Powerful, blends well Shoddy quality

Save your money – Whoever designed this is an [censored word removed]. The plastic parts that join the jug to the motor keep melting because they are attached by a metal screw. The screw gets hot and the plastic melts and the blender no longer functions. This is the second time its happened to me, the first time after 6 months (I got it replaced) and the second… Read more

time after only a month for which Ill be asking for a refund. Save your money and buy something thats made properly glass jug is nice poor design: moving plastic parts touching metal screw resulting in plastic melting

Terrible – Very poor design. blades stick and do not blend anything. Motor is weak and cannot propel blades with enough force to blend anything. Can't even make simple smoothies (the primary reason I purchased it). Jug is a bad shape and is messy to pour from. There really are no good points about this machine. It is so bad I am going to have to replace it… Read more

and throw it out. Have only used it a handful of times.

Does not do what it is supposed to do. Can only blend really watery liquids. Cant cope with berries, ice, or even ice cream.

Terrible – I would never buy another Breville blender again after having 2 of these have the same problem. I feel lucky that I had the opportunity to swap it for a different brand or I would have been stuck with a lemon. Not much. It blended milk. I had 2 of these. The first, the base cracked within a few weeks and I'd only used it a couple of times. I… Read more

returned it and swapped it for another of the same model. 9 months on I had th same problem where the base cracked so returned it and exchanged it for a different model altogether. I use my blenders about once a month if that so it really hadn't been used much at all.

Good – overall i do like this blender, i have not had any problems with it at all for the 3 years i have owned it and i use it regularly. the glass jug washes well unlike my previous plastic one. blends everything well too and is quite cheap i quite like this blender, i have had no issues with it yet and i have had it for about 3 years, love the glass… Read more

Terrible – Made in China to Brevilles specifications?? Expect about 20 trouble free smoothies...then the built in obsolescence kicks in. Can not recommend. Mades a good smoothy....before it started leaking. Hard to clean...I was never really confident that the blade assembly was properly cleaned. Started leaking through the blade assembly..replacement part… Read more

is about $34 which is half the price of the unit. I suspect some muck from the blade assembly area was working it way into the smoothie..yuk! I proved this by operating with warm water...double yuk!!

Terrible – Obviously a dud product. I would not recommend ever buying this product. Also makes me doubt Breville quality for any other product. Nothing much Unstable on motor base due to the design. After 2 mths, the blade assembly leaked and had to be replaced. The replacement assembly broke down after another 2 mths, leaking contents. Also very noisy.

Good – A standard blender that has worked flawlessly for us for making milkshakes, soups, dips etc, without any hassles. Chose this model because it was economical and has a glass jar. Its easy to take apart for washing and doesn't leak liquids from its base. This is made by Breville and hence you know its going to work as it should. Blends everything… Read more

smoothly. Doesn't splatter foods on the lid as much as some other blenders. Easy to take apart to clean. Glass jar. Cord storage under the base. A little noisy especially when blending ice cubes but probably because of the flying ice cubes against the glass jar.

Terrible – I bought this blender to mainly make dips , but it doesn't blend. I returned it and obtained a refund. Doesn't blend anything except liquids.
